From Reader to Ruler: The Forgotten Prince's Rise through Harem-Chapter 4: The Birth of Magic and The First Heroine
Chapter 4 - The Birth of Magic and The First Heroine
Chapter 4 – The Birth of Magic
After spending a peaceful morning with his mother and brother, Dani found himself back in his room, completely bored out of his mind.
Lucian had left for an audience with their father, King Aldric Everhart, and afterward, he planned to continue his rigorous training.
"Do you want to join me?" Lucian had asked before leaving.
Dani had chuckled and immediately shook his head. "Nah, I'm good."
Lucian smirked. "Well, it's up to you." Then he left, his aura of determination almost blinding.
Now, Dani sat on the edge of his bed, doing absolutely nothing.
No phone. No internet. No games. No entertainment.
"Man, this sucks," he muttered.
His gaze landed on a small wooden shelf beside his bed. Several books sat neatly stacked on top of it. Might as well read something.
He reached over, picked up a book at random, and flipped it open. To his surprise, he could understand most of the words.
Considering he had just been reincarnated into this world, he expected to struggle with the language. But his brain seemed to process the words naturally, as if he had spoken them all his life.
The book's title?
"The Fundamentals of Magic: A History of Discovery"
Dani's interest piqued.
He leaned back against the headboard and started reading.

The Origins of Magic
Long ago, before the age of empires and kingdoms, the world was veiled in mystery. People lived unaware of the invisible energy surrounding them—Mana.
Then came one man.
A genius of his time, he sought to understand the hidden forces of the world. Through relentless study, he discovered that every living and non-living thing contained a form of energy.
Mana.
One day, he stumbled upon strange symbols carved into an ancient ruin's walls.
He didn't know it at the time, but these were the first recorded magical runes in history.
Through countless experiments and trials, he deciphered their meaning and unlocked the first known spell in human history.
A simple incantation that created a small ball of light.
It was crude, barely more than a dim glow, but it was proof—proof that energy could be manipulated to produce supernatural effects.
Magic was born.
---
As Dani read on, the book detailed how, over centuries, scholars refined and expanded upon this knowledge. More spells were developed, elemental affinities were discovered, and magic became a structured discipline.
Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Darkness, and more.
Some people were born with natural affinities to certain elements, while others had to work hard to awaken their magical potential.
And then came Aura.
Unlike mana, which was used for spellcasting, aura was an internal energy utilized for martial arts, swordsmanship, and physical enhancement.
Surprisingly, the same genius who discovered magic also uncovered aura.
However...
Dani squinted at the page.
The man's name was missing.
The text that should have revealed his identity was faded or erased, as if someone had intentionally removed it from history.
"Weird..." Dani muttered.
But he shrugged. It didn't really matter to him. He already knew how magic worked in this world thanks to the novel.
Magic and aura were the two dominant power systems.
New novel 𝓬hapters are published on freёwebnoѵel.com.
Magic was used for casting spells, manipulating elements, and complex enchantments.
Aura was used to strengthen the body, enhance reflexes, and wield weapons with supernatural precision.
There were also spiritual beasts—mystical creatures that roamed the world. Some could be tamed and bonded with, granting their masters incredible abilities.
It was a classic fantasy power system.
Dani closed the book and let out a long sigh.
He had no idea whether he had any talent in magic or aura, but he wasn't too worried.
His real strength lay in his knowledge.
He smirked.
100 heroines... Hidden treasures... Forbidden techniques...
If he played his cards right, he would become unstoppable.
For now, though, he needed to figure out his next step.
And more importantly...
How to meet the first heroine.
The First Heroine
Dani leaned back on his bed, tapping his fingers against the book.
Now, how do I meet the first heroine?
Since he was a prince and lived in the imperial capital, the heroines that were currently in the city were his best bet.
After thinking for a while, he narrowed it down to two possible candidates.
1. The Cursed Knight – A noblewoman who would later become a powerful knight but was currently afflicted by a mysterious curse. He already knew how she got cursed and how she would eventually lift it, but right now, he had no power or influence to help her.
2. Leena, the Adventurer Cat-Girl – A beastkin girl with cat ears and a tail. She was half-human, half-beastkin, and because of that, she was shunned by both humans and beastkin alike. She lived as an adventurer in the imperial town, struggling daily.
Dani scratched his chin.
The Cursed Knight's problem was too big for him right now.
So that left Leena.
He smirked.
A cat-girl, struggling against a cruel world... If I play my cards right, she'll be mine in no time.
Now, he just needed to find her.
