From Rejected Fake Heiress to Desired True Love-Chapter 43 - You Lie Down
Chapter 43: Chapter 43: You Lie Down
Chapter 43 -43: You Lie Down
Nan Qiao felt her lips press against something protruding.
As she came to her senses and realized what she had kissed, panic set in, and she moved backward to keep her distance from Li Yehan.
Bare-chested, Li Yehan watched the distraught Nan Qiao as his body leaned forward, closing the distance between them.
“Don’t come any closer!” Nan Qiao panicked.
Li Yehan whispered softly, “What are you afraid of?
You think I’ll eat you?”
Nan Qiao’s cheeks were flushed, sitting by the car door, her clear black and white eyes filled with turmoil.
Just as she thought about opening the car door to flee, Li Yehan turned around.
“Help me apply the medicine.”
Li Yehan turned his body, and Nan Qiao wasn’t as panicked as before.
“Lie down, if you sit like that, the powder will fall off.”
Behind him, Nan Qiao’s pleasant voice rang out, and Li Yehan did as she said.
He lay on the car seat, while Nan Qiao knelt, treating his wound.
Li Yehan lay on the car, turning his head to see her drooping hair, her exposed ear white and cute.
After treating the wound, Li Yehan sat up, stretched out his hand, and pulled Nan Qiao into his embrace.
Being held so tightly that she couldn’t move, Nan Qiao frowned.
Was Li Yehan gripping her so firmly because he knew she practiced martial arts?
Li Yehan circled her body, applying pressure at key points where she would try to escape.
Nan Qiao sat on Li Yehan’s legs, her back to him.
Li Yehan’s thin lips came close to Nan Qiao’s ear, her clothes sticking to his hot chest, his warm breath spreading throughout her body, their posture incredibly intimate.
“You’re afraid I’ll eat you right here?”
Nan Qiao twisted her body, trying to break free from his embrace.
Li Yehan held her even tighter, “Stop it, I’ll take you to dinner.”
Every move she made, he wanted to respond.
Nan Qiao felt something growing beneath her and, red-faced, pushed Li Yehan away.
Nan Qiao opened the car door, intending to leave, but Li Yehan said from behind her, “Should I bring the food to your office?”
Nan Qiao could only stay and went to a nearby restaurant with Li Yehan.
Poking at her rice, Nan Qiao glared at Li Yehan with indignation, “What do you want to do?”
Li Yehan served her a bowl of soup, “Try this soup.
Aunt Zhang stewed it for three hours.”
This was a soup Aunt Zhang specially made for Nan Qiao, to help the Eldest Young Master court his wife.
Hungry, Nan Qiao ignored Li Yehan, eating two bowls of rice and drinking two bowls of soup, her appetite excellent.
Seeing this, Li Yehan also ended up eating two bowls of rice.
Nan Qiao was his “side dish.”
“I have things to do this afternoon, I’ll leave first.”
Li Yehan didn’t stop her but handed her a cut fruit box, “Eat more fruit.”
Nan Qiao paused, Li Yehan actually knew which fruits she liked?
Nan Qiao accepted the fruit, “Thank you.”
Nan Qiao left, and so did Li Yehan.
Secretary Zhao, eating a sandwich, stood by the car door peering out.
He saw Nan Qiao coming out and respectfully greeted, “Good afternoon, Miss Nan Qiao.”
Secretary Zhao, eating his sandwich and sipping coffee, looked a bit miserable.
“Why didn’t you have lunch?”
Secretary Zhao explained embarrassingly, “Miss Nan Qiao, Mr.
Li came to join you for lunch, and I had to handle the company’s affairs.
There was an urgent document that needed Mr.
Li’s review, so I came to find him.”
“Why didn’t you go in?”
“Miss Nan Qiao, you were dining with Mr.
Li.
I didn’t want to be a third wheel, so I just stayed out here.”
Nan Qiao knew the CEO was very busy; Li Yehan probably squeezed out time from his schedule just to have those two hours for lunch with her every day.
“I’ll tell Li Yehan not to have lunch with me.”
Secretary Zhao almost dropped his sandwich in shock, “Miss Nan Qiao, please don’t say that!
It’s not easy for Mr.
Li to have happy moments; let him have some joy.”
Nan Qiao: ?
How come Li Yehan never seems happy?
Who has upset him?
Just as Nan Qiao was about to ask Secretary Zhao, Li Yehan also came out.
He walked quickly over, scrutinized Secretary Zhao with his gaze, causing him to hurriedly explain, “Mr.
Li, I didn’t say anything!”
Li Yehan & Nan Qiao: …
Wasn’t this exactly like the saying ‘protesting his innocence reveals his guilt’?
Nan Qiao chuckled lightly, her bright smile causing Li Yehan’s expression to relax slightly, his eyes intensely fixed on her.
With just a look from Li Yehan, Secretary Zhao opened the car door, and Li Yehan got in.
“Miss Nan Qiao, goodbye,” Secretary Zhao hurriedly got into the car.
Li Yehan sat in the back seat, the window rolled down, revealing a face charming enough to captivate hearts.
Li Yehan’s gaze was intense; his face showed a rare sense of relaxation.
“Let’s go back.”
The driver started the car, and Nan Qiao watched as Li Yehan’s car gradually drove away.
…
Zhou Jingya sent a message to Lu Zhengyang, tender and understanding.
“Brother Zhengyang, my dad said my designs are very popular.
I want to buy you a watch, as a gift from me.”
Lu Zhengyang had already given up on Zhou Jingya and wanted to pursue Nan Qiao.
Although he didn’t know Nan Qiao’s background, he knew from his father’s remarks that her status was certainly extraordinary.
Seeing the text on his phone, and given that Zhou Jingya was willing to humbly initiate contact, he thought he might as well meet her.
Lu Zhengyang dressed neatly and styled his hair before he headed out to meet Zhou Jingya.
Zhou Jingya stood at the entrance of the restaurant, smiling widely as Lu Zhengyang’s car stopped: “Here comes my boyfriend, the young master of the Lu Family, Lu Zhengyang.”
Her three friends couldn’t help exclaiming in surprise when they saw Lu Zhengyang approaching.
“Xiao Ya, your boyfriend is so handsome!”
“Your boyfriend is really nice, knowing your background and still willing to be with you.”
Zhou Jingya: …
One of them, Li Na, was pulled at the sleeve by a girl beside her and hastily explained, “Xiao Ya, I didn’t mean it like that.”
Zhou Jingya couldn’t be bothered with her, quickly walking up to Lu Zhengyang: “Brother Zhengyang, these three are my good friends.
They heard that I found my birth parents and have come to see me.”
Li Na: “Mr.
Lu, when we heard Xiao Ya found such a handsome boyfriend like you, we all wanted to meet.
Truly, seeing is believing; you’re the most handsome man I’ve ever seen.”
Zhou Jingya: …
She couldn’t shake the feeling that Li Na seemed interested in Lu Zhengyang.
Zhou Jingya took Lu Zhengyang’s arm: “Let’s go in first, Brother Zhengyang has already reserved a table.”
Lu Zhengyang, flattered, wore a polite smile that bespoke his good upbringing.
Once in the private room, Zhou Jingya cheerfully said, “Eat, drink, and order whatever you like today, it’s our treat.”
Li Na, along with Wang Xiaotang and Liu Mei by her side, cheered and showered Lu Zhengyang with compliments.
With wine in hand, Lu Zhengyang listened to the flattery and had one glass after another.
After a hearty meal and plenty of drinks, Zhou Jingya’s three friends were also tipsy.
“Go rest upstairs, I’ve booked rooms for you.
Head home when you’re sober.”
Zhou Jingya had the three women escorted to their rooms before she left with Lu Zhengyang.
“Brother Zhengyang, let’s go, I’ll buy you a watch.
My dad just sent me a big red envelope because of my design.”
Speaking of design, Lu Zhengyang’s gaze turned more appreciative towards Zhou Jingya.
“Xiao Ya, you don’t have to buy me a gift; I’ll buy you something instead.”
Zhou Jingya, affectionately linking her arm with his, smiled even sweeter: “Who says a woman can’t buy a man a gift?
Brother Zhengyang, I want to buy it for you.”
Lu Zhengyang thoroughly enjoyed the attention from Zhou Jingya, playfully smacked her bottom, and they left together.
Zhou Jingya looked toward the direction of the hotel, a wicked smile playing on her lips.
