Chapter 70 -70: Sleeping on Top of Him

Nan Qiao looked around, her face filled with confusion.

She blurted out, “Li Yehan, how come I’m at your house?”

Li Yehan sat up from the bed, the silk duvet sliding down from his chest to his waist.

He sat just like that, his torso strong and powerful, his abdomen clearly defined, exuding an intense sexual energy.

A single thought filled Nan Qiao’s mind: Li Yehan looks like he’d be great at reproducing.

Nan Qiao shook her head to dispel the terrible thought.

Li Yehan caught the small, subtle movement and locked eyes with her, “What are you thinking?”

Nan Qiao maintained her guarded mentality, “I’m thinking, you must have lured me here with ill intentions.”

Li Yehan got off the bed, wearing gray sleep pants that accentuated his powerful waist.

Broad shoulders, narrow hips, his muscles not overly bulging, clearly indicating strength.

He approached step by step, and even as Nan Qiao’s hand touched the doorknob, she was still caught by Li Yehan’s long, pale arm.

He raised her hands above her head, and in the midst of her startled gaze, he took control of her body.

“Hit and run?”

Up close, Nan Qiao got an even better look at Li Yehan’s wicked and wild face.

Li Yehan’s thin lips curved, forming an elegant arc.

His peach blossom eyes shone brightly, sizing up Nan Qiao’s little face, his voice magnetic, “Don’t you remember what you did last night?”

As his lips drew closer, just as Nan Qiao was about to knee his vulnerable lower parts, Li Yehan stopped.

“Last night you slept in my master bedroom, and I slept in the guest room.

In the dead of night, you opened my door, got onto my bed, and lay on my chest to sleep.

Qiaoqiao, are you sure you’re not deliberately seducing me?”

Nan Qiao: !!

There’s no way she could have done that!

“That’s impossible!

I always have good sleeping posture.

Others have even complimented me for it, saying I don’t move an inch in my sleep and don’t hog the blankets.”

Li Yehan’s eyes conveyed a frigid emotion as he stared into hers, asking word-by-word, “Who said that!”

Nan Qiao was taken aback, what was the meaning of Li Yehan’s rapid emotional change?

“You’re hurting me.”

Her arms were still raised high, held by Li Yehan, unable to move.

Li Yehan realized his action was too rough and released Nan Qiao’s hands.

Taking the opportunity, Nan Qiao pushed Li Yehan away and opened the door to leave.

Although she was strong, Li Yehan’s strength was surprisingly great.

Nan Qiao returned to her room, wearing a set of men’s pajamas that were both long and large.

She looked at her clothes, her face reddening with embarrassment.

Could it be that Li Yehan had changed her clothes last night?

Nan Qiao sat on the sofa, a bit angry, when there was a knock on the door.

“Miss Qiao, Mr.

Li asked me to bring you a change of clothes.”

Nan Qiao walked to the door and opened it.

A maid stood at the doorway, hands presenting the clothes, respectfully saying, “All these arrangements were made by Mr.

Li, the clothes have been washed, dried, and sterilized, just delivered last night.”

The maid said this, also to prevent Nan Qiao from misunderstanding that there were other women’s clothes at Li Yehan’s place.

These were Li Yehan’s instructions.

“Thank you,” Nan Qiao took the clothes and closed the door.

On inspection, she found they were her size, even the underwear was her exact fit.

Nan Qiao’s heart skipped a beat, how did Li Yehan know her size?

Her mind in turmoil, Nan Qiao took a bath and changed into the clothes.

Li Yehan sat downstairs, the sound of the elevator doors signaled someone’s arrival, and he looked over.

Nan Qiao wore the suit he had prepared, and it suited her very well.

It was as if she were a walking clothes hanger; she looked good in anything she wore.

Nan Qiao was dressed in a dark green long-sleeve shirt, paired with black slacks, her slender waist and brisk walk turning heads.

The butler in the kitchen saw Nan Qiao come in and immediately instructed the servants to serve the dishes.

“Have breakfast first.

If there’s anything you want to ask, I can answer it all.”

Nan Qiao got up and noticed the conversation on her phone with Chen Xinwan.

That message was not sent by her.

Nan Qiao sat down, to find an exceptionally lavish breakfast prepared.

Chinese and Western dishes, everything was available.

Nan Qiao stared at the full spread of breakfast and was stunned.

“Li Yehan, this is too much.

The two of us can’t possibly finish it all.”

Li Yehan smiled and said, “It doesn’t matter if we can’t finish.

I just worry that there may not be anything you like to eat.”

Nan Qiao was pampered just like this at the Bai Family’s home.

Here with him, he was obviously going to spoil her even more.

Nan Qiao, ravenous, ate a good amount of breakfast.

Li Yehan also ate some, happy to see that Nan Qiao enjoyed the breakfast here.

After eating her fill, Nan Qiao was ready to settle the score with Li Yehan.

“Why did you use my phone to reply to messages?

And you sent a message I didn’t even know about.”

Li Yehan explained, “You drank too much last night.

I thought you would not want your family to worry, so I took the liberty of replying on your behalf.”

Nan Qiao was taken aback; Li Yehan’s considerations matched her own.

If she had returned home drunk, her family definitely would have been worried.

“Let’s go.

I’ll drive you to work.”

Li Yehan stood up, and Nan Qiao picked up her bag and walked out.

The two of them walking together, just looking at their backs, you could tell they were a perfect match.

The butler commented with envy, “I really envy this lady, to be liked by Mr.

Li.”

“I’m rather envious of Mr.

Li, to have such a beautiful Miss.”

They exchanged a smile and began to clear the table.

Nan Qiao had just returned to the office when she received a familiar phone call.

Nan Qiao answered with a joyous tone, “Grandpa, how come you have time to call me?”

“Qiaoqiao, I heard from Old Tang that you went home to acknowledge your relatives?

Are they good to you?

Are they like Zhou Hongqi?

If so, you might as well leave that family.

Those people aren’t worth it, and you don’t need to waste your time on them.”

Nan Qiao knew Zhou Yongshan was concerned about her and explained softly, “They are very good to me, a thousand times better than the Zhou Family.”

“That’s good, as long as you’re happy.

When will you come back to take over my business?

My businesses are nearly growing mold, and I am still waiting to travel the world.”

The mention of this gave Nan Qiao a headache; several grandparents hoped she would take over their enterprises, and she was stretched thin.

“Grandpa Zhou, I’m currently working at the company given to me by my family.

School is starting soon, and I really don’t have much time.”

Zhou Yongshan lamented, “Qiaoqiao, when you’re free, you must consider me first.

Though Old Tang taught you medicine, I also taught you painting, didn’t I?

Painting is a lot simpler than healing people; as long as you want to paint, anywhere can be your stage.”

“Grandpa Zhou, did you take the medicine I sent you on time?”

“I’ve taken it, all of it.

Thanks to your medicine, I can live a few more years.”

“Grandpa Zhou, you must take good care of your health.”

“Alright, alright.

I haven’t seen you, Qiaoqiao, get married and have children yet, so I can’t kick the bucket so quickly.

I’ll be visiting Jing City in a few days to attend an art exhibition.

How about you accompany me?”

“Okay.”

Grandpa Zhou was overjoyed to get Nan Qiao’s consent.

Nan Qiao hung up the phone and turned on her computer.

Fu Xingyao knocked and came in, “Mr.

Qiao, someone is looking for you.”

Who could it be?
