Chapter 171: Chapter 171: Inspector Zhao

She couldn’t help but ask,

"Lea, why do you smell..."

However, she thought of something and her eyes dimmed a little.

Oh! What she was thinking?

How could a dead person’s smell be present on Yu Holea?

Thinking like this Mrs. Qiao just smiled and said,

"Let’s go, I will cook something for you and Li."

But Yu Holea shook her head and said,

"Aunt Qiao you rest, Li and I will make the breakfast."

Hence after Yu Holea and Qiao Li’s repeated insistence, Mrs. Qiao has to leave the kitchen.

Soon some dishes were served at the dining table and all the servants gasped when smelled the dishes.

My God! They smell so delicious!

Mrs. Qiao and Qiao Zirui were happy to see the dishes and they ate them with relish.

There weren’t many dishes in first place but the small snacks made by Qiao Li and Yu Holea were really delicious.

After eating Yu Holea informed them that she wouldn’t be able to come back for dinner and left to meet with Yun Jilang.

Once she arrived at the police station Sun Dong instantly led her to Yun Jilang’s office and couldn’t help but say,

"Holea, um...I needed more of those talismans do you have some."

Yu Holea asked,

"How many do you want?"

"Just 10."

In fact, from the moment he received those talismans and told his wife about their powers, his wife started clamoring for him to buy some for her and their child too, and hence he asked Yu Holea for some more talismans

Yu Holea felt that 10 wasn’t a huge number and hence she agreed

Who would have known, that once she agreed, 2 monkeys would suddenly appear in front of her and say,

"We want 10 too."

"Me too."

When Yu Holea looked at them close up, she noticed that they were none other than Fan Yunli and Wei Liu.

Yu Holea sighed helplessly and agreed.

But at the same time, she made a promise to herself to limit the amount of talismans one could purchase.

After getting 900,000 yuan in her bank, Yu Holea entered Yun Jilang’s office who looked at her with some embarrassment and asked,

"Holea, I want 10 too."

Yu Holea: "..." Great!

At last, when she was done with her transaction, Yu Holea asked,

"Where are the dead bodies?"

"Morgue."

Yu Holea couldn’t help but be curious.

She had heard the name of the morgue before but she had never visited it.

In fact after watching horror movies, in which the lead of the movie works in the morgue and encounters a ghost.

The scene where the dead body suddenly opens their eyes and crawls out is too amazing for some like Yu Holea and hence Yu Holea was very curious to visit a morgue.

When they arrived at the morgue, Yu Holea looked at everything curiously.

Yun Jilang chuckled seeing Yu Hoela’s behavior.

It was his first time seeing the always calm and silent remaining Yu Holea so curious.

She was looking cute.

If he had a son he would have betrothed him with her.

Unaware of Yun Jilang’s thoughts, Yu Holea was somewhat disappointed by the morgue.

If she could describe this place in one word it would be ’Unlucky’

Not because there were dead bodies, but because of because of the chilling atmosphere that surrounded the place which was channeled due to the dead being not given a farewell.

There is an unsaid rule in the world of exorcists and that is don’t provoke dead people and give them farewell the moment they die.

But the Morgue works on the principle opposite of it and hence it was destined to be filled with Yang energy which resulted in the chilly aura of this place.

The air was heavy with the scent of chemicals and death.

Yu Holea looked at the particularly dense black qi outside one of the morgue rooms and a foreboding feeling grew in her heart.

Coincidentally Yun Jilang started waking in the direction of that room.

Yu Holea frowned but she said nothing and followed behind.

In between she saw some of the ghosts passing by.

Since they were evil spirits and were only strolling to digest the fact they died, Yu Holea didn’t exorcise them.

It wasn’t like Yu Holea had some talent to be able to see ghosts, she was just circulating her mystic energy at her eyes hence she was able to see all those invisible entities or ghosts.

When they arrived at the morgue room, there was already a group of people standing near the dead bodies.

Some of them were forensic lab assistants and some were dressed in police uniform.

Yu Holea thought that they were Yun Jilang’s underlings.

When those policemen saw Yun Jilang instead of going forward they just looked at him with indifference and even gave a mocking smile.

Yun Jilang didn’t bother to look at them and just said to Yu Holea,

"Let’s go and examine the dead bodies."

When those policemen heard Yun Jilang’s words, they couldn’t help but laugh at him.

"Hahaha! Early when he said that he wanted to involve a person in this case, I thought that he was some expert or something but look who he brought! A kid! A freaking kid!"

"Hahaha!"

Yu Holea’s brows furrowed and she asked Sun Dong who was behind her,

"Who are they?"

Sun Dong looked at those policemen and replied,

"Do you see the center guy? The guy with the longest height. He is Inspector Zhao. He is hired separately by the parent of one of the dead persons. Since his backer is very powerful, and continentally he lost his promotion this year to Leader Yun, now he is taking revenge."

Yu Holea nodded.

She understood the grudge between but she wasn’t able to understand why those parents would hire a police force separately.

Suddenly she asked Yun Jilang,

"Are all the victims belonging to a rich family?"

Yun Jilang nodded his head after thinking about the details he had learned so far.

Yu Holea then asked,

"Are there parents working in the same industry?"

Yun Jilang paused and shook his head,

"No! In fact, not all the victims belong to rich families. A part of them belong to middle-class families too."

"Have you found any connection between their families?"

Yun Jilang paused and an idea struck his brain.

"Right! I..."

Indeed some among them did have a relation, and it was indeed a bit suspicious.

However before he could finish, Inspector Zhao had already called the person who hired him and reported Yu Holea’s words using his name.

Sun Dong gritted his teeth and shouted at him,

"How can you be so shameless!"

He clearly took away Yu Holea’s credit with no shame.

Even Yun Jilang was angry when he saw the smug smile on Inspector Zhao’s face.

However, Yu Holea just looked at Inspector Zhao with a confused face.

Seeing this Sun Dong thought that Yu Holea was stunned by Inspector Zhao’s shameless and consoled her,

"Holea, we are sorry we were careless just now."

Yu Holea shook her head and said,

"Actually what I wanted to say is that even if there is a relationship among them we shouldn’t inform it anyone."

"Huh?"

Yun Jilang and Sun Dong were confused hearing her words and asked,

"But why?"

But before Yu Holea could answer, they heard a furious voice coming from Inspector Zhao’s phone,

"Are you an idiot? The reason why I hired you is not to find the connection between the victims, I want to you find the culprit behind this.

What a stupid policeman are you! God! How can I hire such a pig teammate!"

A few more insults sounded and Inspector Zhao’s face paled with each word.

He was angry, fearful, and felt humiliated too.

On the other hand, everyone was stunned by such a turn of events.

What was happening?

Only Yu Holea narrowed her eyes.

She guessed that behind the death of those victims was some evil spirit and that he might be out there for revenge.

Just the fact the that parents of those victims hired a separate inspector to investigate the matter even though only one police force is allowed to handle the case, proved that there was something fishy going on.

It was clear that those families didn’t want to expose their relationship with each other.

And the reason for this can only be that they might know the culprit behind this.

When Inspector Zhao hung up his call, he looked at Yu Holea with an ashen face and said in a sinister tone,

"Little girl, you love to mess around, right? You deliberately said all of those in front of me, right?"

Yu Holea was confused and was about to say something when she heard a scream.

One of the forensic lab assistants had fallen down and was looking at the dead body with horror, however, his words surprised everyone,

"The dead body’s...eyes moved..."
