Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 180: Mu Jie
Chapter 180: Chapter 180: Mu Jie
To be precise a group of boys were fawning at a boy in his late teens.
"Young Master Mu, I must say to be able to have such good looks with excellent background and resources, you are truly the cream of the crop!"
One of the boys praised Mu Jie, who was sitting at the center of attention.
Mu Jie, the young master of the prestigious Mu family, was indeed a striking figure. His charm, wealth, and influence made him highly sought after by both men and women in the city.
Mu Jie chuckled, his eyes scanning the room filled with admiration.
"Well, it’s not easy being me," he replied with a hint of arrogance.
The flattery continued, Mu Jie showed a bored look but he was very satisfied with their flattery.
Just then Inspector Zhao came into the bar and went to the private room in which Mu Jie was currently partying and knocked on the door politely.
"Oh, the wine must have come!"
Saying so, one of the boys went to open the door only to find Inspector Zhao’s smiley face which instantly changed seeing him.
Inspector Zhao said to the boy in the cold,
"Inform the young master that it is already more than 12 o’clock and it is not safe for him to continue staying here."
The boy shivered under Inspector Zhao’s gaze and relayed his message to Mu Jie.
Mu Jie reluctantly stood up, even though he didn’t want to listen to Inspector Zhao’s words, but since his dad had personally hired Inspector Zhao to protect him, he could only move toward the door.
As he walked away, he didn’t forget to say,
"The food and wine are on me, order whatever you want."
All the boys in the room cheered and decided to flatter Mu Jie again, on the other hand, to ensure that these boys asked him to tag along again Mu Jie said that line.
Inspector Zhao couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. novelbuddy.cσ๓
How lucky are these b*stards?
All they have to do is to flatter and whoosh! They can order whatever they want.
When Mu Jie reached in front of Inspector Zhao, he didn’t wait for him and started walking ahead.
He had no respect for people like Inspector Zhao who flatter the powerful while trampling on the weak.
Inspector Zhao’s face turned green when he saw, Mu Jie’s disrespectful behavior but he didn’t dare to say anything since he was handsomely paid for what he was doing right now.
At the same time, a black cloak came to the terrace of the bar and just when Mu Jie was about to come out of the bar, the black cloak’s shadow jumped down.
Hence the moment Mu Jie stepped out, he didn’t see the black circle in front of him but Inspector Zhao who was looking at the ground saw a strange black circle appearing at the ground and hurriedly informed Mu Jie,
"Be careful."
Yet he was a step too late because Mu Jie already stepped into the circle.
A cold wind surrounded Mu Jie and suddenly his eyes turned black, he whispered something that was only heard by Inspector Zhao, who turned pale.
Mu Jie came to his senses and looked around.
He asked Inspector Zhao who was very pale by now,
"What happened to me just now? What did you say about being careful?"
Inspector Zhao’s heart raced as he struggled to find the right words.
He had seen many strange occurrences in his line of work, but this one had him genuinely shaken.
"Nothing, Young Master," he stammered, attempting to maintain his composure.
"I must have misspoken. It’s just that... well, it’s late, and I thought I saw something unusual."
Mu Jie raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by the vague explanation.
He wasn’t accustomed to being kept in the dark, and the fear in Inspector Zhao’s eyes only piqued his curiosity further.
"Unusual? Like what?" Mu Jie pressed, his nonchalance giving way to genuine interest.
"Young Master Mu, I... I saw a strange circle on the ground, and I thought it might be... something unusual. But it seems to have vanished now."
Mu Jie glanced down at the spot where he had stepped but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
His nonchalant demeanor returned as he shrugged it off.
"Probably just a trick of the light or something. No need to overreact, Inspector Zhao."
For a moment he even felt that Inspector Zhao was scaring him.
Inspector Zhao looked down and indeed there was nothing.
Inspector Zhao wiped his sweat and said,
"Young Master Mu, how about I introduce you to a celestial master? She is a young girl but her skills are top-notch in terms of exercising ghost."
Mu Jie frowned when he heard Inspector Zhao’s words and suddenly smirked,
"Don’t say she is your cousin or something and by meaning top-notch skill, are you suggesting that she is top-notch in...bed?"
Inspector Zhao’s face turned a little red from anger and he defended,
"Young Master Mu, she is a top-notch ’Celestial Master’! And just now your eyes turned black and you even said..."
"Oh, so what is her age?" Mu Jie asked.
Inspector Zhao gritted his teeth and said,
"16."
But after hearing this answer Mu Jie was bored and said,
"Anyways let’s go home."
He felt that Inspector Zhao was really good at acting in order to introduce his cousin to him he could go as far as accusing him of getting possessed and calling his cousin a Celestial Master.
Inspector Zhao wanted to shake his head and deny going with him but remembering his duty, he could only start driving the car.
After all, there wasn’t much distance between the bar and Mu Family’s house.
Once he drops Mu Jie, he will be safe.
At the same time, he clutched the talismans given by Yu Holea and prayed,
"Oh god! Please save me."
Thinking so he started driving.
Mu Jie who was in the backseat couldn’t help but feel disgusted.
Just how far he is thinking of acting?
Mu Jie closed his eyes and leaned on the car seat as he was feeling very tired.
He just happened to sit right in front of the front rear-view mirror.
The atmosphere in the car was slowly turning cold even though the heater was on.
Inspector Zhao couldn’t shake the unease that had settled in his chest as he drove Mu Jie back to the Mu Family’s residence.
The encounter at the bar and Mu Jie’s unsettling behavior had left him on edge.
As he glanced into the rear-view mirror, he froze.
In the reflection, he saw Mu Jie’s eyes, completely black, devoid of any whites or irises.
They were empty, like two endless voids staring directly into his soul.
A chill ran down Inspector Zhao’s spine, and he couldn’t look away from those abyssal eyes.
Mu Jie’s lips curled into a sinister smile, and it sent shivers down Inspector Zhao’s spine.
He knew something was terribly wrong, and fear gripped his heart.
His hands tightened on the steering wheel as he struggled to maintain control.
Desperate to break the unnerving silence, Inspector Zhao finally spoke, his voice trembling,
"Young Master Mu, are you... alright?"
Mu Jie’s response was unsettling.
His voice had an eerie echo to it as if it came from far beyond,
"I’ve never been better, Inspector Zhao."
Those words sent a fresh wave of terror through Inspector Zhao.
He had no doubt now; Mu Jie was no longer himself.
Something had taken control of his body, and it was something far from human.
As Inspector Zhao continued driving, his mind raced.
He needed a plan, an escape route, anything to get himself and Mu Jie out of this horrifying situation.
But before he could form a coherent thought, he felt something cold and malevolent brush against his neck.
He gasped as he realized what was happening – a charred, black hand was slowly emerging from behind his car seat.
The hand closed around Inspector Zhao’s throat, its grip icy and unyielding.
He struggled to breathe, his vision dimming as panic set in.
He could hear Mu Jie’s eerie laughter, a sound that sent chills through his soul.
"You should have been more careful, Inspector Zhao," Mu Jie’s voice echoed in his ears
"You should be more careful of the words you say, Inspector Zhao. What did you tell me at the morgue? Hm...it was something ’Even when he was alive he couldn’t do anything, What could he do after dying?’ "
He hated his arrogance which he showed at the morgue.
Inspector Zhao shook his head desperately but no one was there to help him, and since he was getting choked, he wasn’t able to drive a car which resulted in its losing control.
No!
At this rate, he will definitely die for sure!
Inspector Zhao remembered the talisman and stopped struggling, instead, he put his hand in his pocket and flicked the talisman given by Yu Holea.
