Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 211: Nightmare
Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Nightmare
At Mu Jiang’s Company.
Mu Jiang finished his work and looked at the dark night.
He placed all the files on the desk and stood up.
Even after staying all alone he didn’t see or feel anything suspicious.
Hence he reached the conclusion that Yu Holea might be just scaring him and that his son might have played a prank on him.
Just as he thought like this, he saw the empty office and frowned.
Why was there no one in the company?
Coming out of his office he saw that there was no one in the entire company.
Even the watchman was not there.
He went straight to the parking lot and called his driver to pick him up but his driver’s phone was switched off.
Having no choice, Mu Jiang went inside the car.
Cursing his driver in his heart Mu Jiang felt a little cold and rubbed his arms while his other hand went in the direction of the AC’s temperature button.
He increased the temperature of the AC but he was still shivering.
Suddenly 2 hands came out of the backseat and clutched his neck.
Mu Jiang was stunned and started struggling.
His heart was slowly filled with fear because, from the back view mirror, he could see a charred face with a charred black hand looking at him with a strange smile.
Mu Jiang struggled more when the hand tightened around his neck.
Just when he thought that he was going to die, a bright light enveloped him and Mu Jiang opened his eyes.
He looked at the clock which pointed at 12 o’clock and looked at the files which were still unfinished.
Oh! That was all a dream!
Mu Jiang was stunned but he consoled himself and stood up to pack his stuff.
His hands were trembling because of his dream but he still packed up everything.
When he exited his office, he subconsciously glanced at the staff office.
There were still some employees who were working.
Mu Jiang released the breath he was subconsciously holding and turned to leave.
When he reached the office exit, he saw the watchman, and his fastened pace slowed down a little.
On reaching the parking area, he saw his car and his driver who was waiting for him and Mu Jiang finally believed that he was out of his dream.
However, he still took his phone and dialed Yu Holea’s number.
He placed his hand on the call button but he was hesitating whether he should call Yu Holea or not.
Just then he heard his driver’s voice,
"Sir?"
When Mu Jiang lifted his head, he saw his driver standing in front of him and he backed up away subconsciously.
His heart was beating rapidly.
The driver saw his boss’s reaction and went to hold him but he stopped 2 meters away from him and asked,
"Sir, are you okay?"
Mu Jiang wiped his sweat off nervously glanced at the driver and nodded his head,
"Yeah, I am fine, let’s go."
The driver nodded and said,
"Sir give me your coat I will hold it."
But Mu Jiang who was feeling cold shook his head and went straight to the passenger seat.
The driver followed behind and started driving the car once Mu Jiang was seated properly.
On the way, Mu Jiang kept on rubbing his hand and looked at his phone which was dead.
For a moment he was regretful.
He should have called Yu Holea.
His strong intuition was telling him that something wrong was going to happen to him.
And that Yu Holea is the only one who could help him.
However what confused him was the fact that his phone had 3% of charging, how could it drain so fast?
But his attention was instantly diverted because he noticed that the route they were taking was different from usual and asked,
"Where are you taking me? I asked you to drive to Mu mansion."
However the driver only smiled and said,
"Mr. Mu please calm down, we are taking a shortcut."
Mu Jiang frowned and said,
"What shortcut? I know every shortcut and it is not the one we have taken before."
The driver smiled but this time his smile turned creepy and his lips were stretched to the point that they were reaching his ears.
Mu Jiang’s face paled because he could see the eerie smile and completely black eyes of the driver.
And he knew that the driver was possessed.
His mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation.
He considered calling for help, but his phone’s low battery and the strange drain of its charge added to his growing anxiety.
The car continued down the dimly lit road, away from his intended destination.
Mu Jiang’s heart pounded, and his palms grew sweaty.
He needed to take action, but he couldn’t quite pinpoint the driver’s intentions.
After what felt like an eternity, the driver finally spoke, his voice low and ominous,
"Mr. Mu, we’re almost there. Just a little farther."
Mu Jiang’s instincts screamed at him to get out of the car, to run, to do anything to escape this unsettling situation.
He glanced out the window, trying to gauge his surroundings. It appeared to be a desolate area, far from any familiar landmarks.
Summoning all his courage, Mu Jiang decided to jump since that was the only best idea he could come up with now.
He quickly unlocked his door, ready to make a run for it at the first opportunity.
The driver seemed to sense his intention and abruptly stopped the car.
Mu Jiang wasted no time.
He flung the car door open and bolted out, stumbling in his haste.
He glanced back briefly to see the driver getting out of the car as well, a menacing expression on his face.
Fear coursed through Mu Jiang’s veins as he sprinted away from the car, into the darkness. His heart pounded in his chest, and he pushed himself to run faster.
The sound of his own breath and footsteps echoed in his ears.
The area in which he was currently was a dense forest area and the eerie silence was making the environment more chilling.
As he ran, Mu Jiang tried to make sense of the situation.
Why had this driver taken him on this bizarre route? What did he want? And why did this all feel so eerily familiar, as if it were a recurring nightmare?
Suddenly, Mu Jiang stumbled and fell to the ground.
His breath came in ragged gasps as he struggled to regain his footing.
The driver who was still some distance away chuckled and travelled the distance between them in just 2 seconds.
Mu Jiang clutched his heart and said in a trembling voice,
"You...you...who are you?"
The driver just smiled and like a psychopath, he suddenly took out a pocket knife from his pocket and straight away flung it toward Mu Jiang’s heart.
Mu Jiang turned around to dodge but the pocket knife fell on the back of his palm and pierced right through his palm.
"Ahhhh."
Mu Jiang groaned in the pain.
His right hand was almost attached to the ground due to the knife.
However, the driver didn’t stop there and instead laughed.
He then took out the knife from Mu Jiang’s hand without any mercy which caused Mu Jiang to shriek in pain again.
Mu Jiang’s world seemed to blur as intense pain coursed through him.
Blood oozed from the wound on his hand, staining the ground beneath him.
The eerie laughter of the possessed driver echoed in the night, sending chills down his spine.
Summoning every ounce of strength and determination, Mu Jiang managed to stagger to his feet, clutching his injured hand.
He knew he had to keep moving, to escape the relentless pursuit of this malevolent driver.
The driver followed behind and in between he would wave the knife on Mu Jiang.
Mu Jiang was covered in various wounds.
Just when he thought that this game of mouse and cat will continue for a long time.
The ghost who possessed the driver seemed to have lost his patience and came out of the driver’s body.
The driver’s body fell on the ground as if he had lost his soul and the ghost flew straight into the front of Mu Jiang.
Mu Jian was shocked when a charred black face appeared in front of him and backed away but before he could do so a hand came out of the black fog and went straight toward Mu Jiang’s neck.
Mu Jiang tried to dodge but he was unsuccessful and could only catch in frustration as the hand clutched his neck.
For some reason, he started thinking about his son.
The son whom he neglected because of his work and the guilt he felt.
The son who always waited for him.
But all he got in return was either taunts or sarcasm.
If he had another chance he would definitely love him.
