Chapter 271: Chapter 271: Struck in Dream

She bit her lips but she didn’t message him.

Yu Holea closed her eyes and a memory flashed past her eyes.

The memory of her sitting on Qiao Jun’s lap and getting her finger bitten.

Butterflies appeared in her stomach.

Soon she fell asleep with a smile on her face.

.....

Looking at the familiar mansion, Yu Holea was stunned.

Why was she in Jiang Mansion?

Yu Holea entered the living room.

The entire living room was dark and quiet.

Just as Yu Holea was wondering what was happening, she saw Jiang Ming walking downstairs with a dazed look.

(Author: Jiang Ming is Jing Lei’s father. Jiang Lei is Jiang Wei’s cousin. And who is Jiang Wei? I hope you all know already!)

Yu Holea followed him and saw him walking toward the backyard.

When he reached a specific spot, Jiang Ming stopped and started changing something.

Yu Holea’s eyes widened.

For some reason, she felt as if she knew this spell.

It was a dark spell.

Her master had once told her about it.

But what it was for Yu Holea forgot.

Yu Holea didn’t have to guess for long because she suddenly felt a strange sensation.

Turning around she saw a dimensional cut appearing in the thin air.

As the dimensional cut manifested, Yu Holea’s heart raced with a mix of anxiety.

A figure emerged from the rift, stepping through the opening with an eerie calmness.

It was a woman shrouded in a dark cloak, her presence exuding an ominous aura that made the air around her thick and heavy.

Yu Holea wasn’t able to look at the woman clearly but a voice in her mind was telling her that the woman wasn’t simple and she shouldn’t be allowed to enter this novel world.

Yu Holea frowned at that thought but before she could reach to a conclusion she heard a voice filled with agony and fear.

Turning around Yu Holea saw Jiang Ming whose skin was slowly shriveling and turning black.

It was as if someone was sucking his soul and blood out of his body.

Yu Holea felt as if the presence of that woman was becoming more and more strong.

At the same time, she saw that the trees and green grass were slowly drying.

A thought appeared in her mind.

The woman stepping through the dimensional cut was using a malevolent spell, draining the life force from Jiang Ming and the surrounding environment.

Her intuition screamed danger, warning her of the catastrophic consequences if this dark sorceress were allowed to continue her nefarious deed.

Yu Holea would never step into others’ matters unless and until either her loved ones are in danger or the world is in danger.

In her previous life, Yu Holea sacrificed herself to save the city and in this life, she went to fight with Celestial Master Song head-on just to subdue him.

And now a person who trusted her was dying, how could she just sit still and wait for the death?

Yu Holea decided to help Jiang Ming first and took out a healing talisman.

Suddenly the woman looked in the direction of Yu Holea and muttered to herself,

" Variable?"

It took Yu Holea a minute to understand that she was saying that Yu Holea was a variable in her plan.

Yu Holea was ready to use the spell but the mere glance from the woman made Yu Holea unable to move.

The dark sorceress’s intense gaze seemed to penetrate Yu Holea’s very soul, freezing her in place with an unspoken threat.

Struggling against the invisible restraint, Yu Holea attempted to summon her mystic energy.

However, the overwhelming force of the sorceress’s influence held her firmly in its grip, suppressing any attempts to break free.

No!

Yu Holea started struggling more and her mind went into chaos.

What was happening?

Just then a voice in her mind said to her,

"Calm down and think"

As if the voice had a magical power because Yu Holea who had been struggling a few minutes before started calming down.

Yeah, she needs to find a way to save Jiang Ming and exit the place.

But Yu Holea was doubtful about why such a strong woman was able to enter this dimension.

Um.

No, the biggest question is how she(Yu Holea) reached Jiang Mansion in the first place.

Yu Holea suddenly thought about how she reached there and realized that maybe she was in her dream.

Yeah!

Heaving a sigh of relief Yu Holea started thinking of a way to exit the dream.

At the same, she was relieved that Jiang Ming of the real world wasn’t harmed.

The woman who was watching Yu Holea with amusement in her eyes narrowed her eyes and snapped her fingers.

"Now you won’t be able to leave."

A numbing feeling started spreading in Yu Holea’s body and she realized that maybe she won’t be able to leave.

Frustration and fear mingled within Yu Holea as she fought against the paralyzing effect.

At the same time, Yu Holea started feeling wary.

How can be a woman so powerful as to trap her in her dream?

But if it was a dream then why the woman had the power to trap her?

Yu Holea’s head started spinning with various possibilities.

Suddenly the woman narrowed her eyes and said in a deep voice,

"Die."

A ball of darkness appeared in her hand and Yu Holea’s body started shivering with fear.

Dodge.

Dodge.

Dodge or else you will die.

The aura of the dark sorceress was enough to make her not able to breathe but the ball of darkness was looking like a death statement.

That is what Yu Holea was telling herself but the invisible restraint prevented any movement.

As the dark ball surged towards her, Yu Holea closed her eyes.

She could feel that once the dark ball came within a 10-meter radius of her, she would die for sure.

A green light suddenly shot out from her and attacked the ball.

Within a few seconds, the green light destroyed the dark ball.

Yu Holea who just happened to open her eyes and saw the scene and was in a daze

The dark ball which was dreadful and undefeatable for Yu Holea a moment ago got destroyed in a few seconds.

The green light didn’t stop there and surged towards the dark sorceress whose expression changed, she tried to dodge but as if the green light had eyes of its own it still went into the direction in which the dark sorcesseress.

She let out a piercing scream as the light seared through her dark cloak, causing her form to flicker and distort.

Yu Holea, still in a daze, watched as the woman writhed in agony, her powerful presence diminishing with each passing moment.

The sorceress attempted to retaliate, conjuring her dark magic, but it was futile against the overwhelming brilliance of the green light.

The sorceress, now weakened and unable to maintain her grip on the dream world, staggered backward, struggling to fend off the radiant energy that consumed her.

Sensing an opportunity amid the chaos, Yu Holea focused on the weakening barrier between her and the waking world.

A voice sounded.

"Lea? Lea wake up."

And Yu Holea knew that she had succeeded in weakening the wall between the dream world and the real world.

Suddenly she felt a suction and heaved a sigh of relief that she would finally be able to leave.

What she didn’t see was a young man who was sitting at the top of the Jiang Mansion was able to see her and the dark sorceress.

His expression was filled with seriousness and he muttered to himself,

" Looks like I will be able to exit now without any problem."

He then looked at Yu Holea and thought about the green light.

"How can such a weak person have such a powerful force hidden in her consciousness? Looks like I have to investigate."

For the past 2 days, he was struck here and was finally able to leave hence the young man heaved a sigh of relief and closed his eyes before muttering a spell and vanishing into the thin air.

Just then the woman who was stilling seething with agony, attacked Yu Holea.

She said in a voice laced with hatred,

"I can’t let you spoil his lordship’s plan!"

Yu Holea was barely able to dodge and when she opened her eyes she was in her room.

Just then she heard Qiao Li’s voice that was filled with relief,

"Thank God Lea you are awake! I was scared."

Yu Holea was about to say something when she realized that she was soaked with sweat.

Her entire body was trembling and even her breath was shallow as if she was on the brink of death.

Yu Holea took a deep breath and lay on the bed without closing her eyes, when she felt her strength returning she said to concerned Qiao Li,

"I am fine."
