Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes-Chapter 280: Seducing
When he saw her, he smiled gently, as if her presence there was the most natural thing in the world.
"What are you doing here?" he asked softly.
Lana stared at him, dazed, before realizing something strange.
’I... I can move again.’ Taking a steadying breath, she forced herself to speak.
"I entered the wrong room," she said quietly.
Lucian nodded calmly. "It happens."
As he spoke, the towel he had been using to dry his hair slipped from his hand and fell to the floor.
He bent down slowly to pick it up, and without meaning to, Lana’s gaze drifted.
She froze.
The faint outline beneath the bathrobe, the firm lines of his body... her mind went blank. Heat rushed to her face, and an absurd thought flashed through her head.
’If I turn into my silver cat form...’
The urge was so overwhelming that she took a step toward him without realizing it.
Lucian noticed and looked at her with mild confusion, his eyes still gentle.
"Is something wrong?" he asked. "Why are you standing so close?"
Lana swallowed hard and blurted out the truth.
"You have... a very toned body."
Lucian chuckled softly. "I suppose I do."
The words left her mouth before she could stop herself. "Can I... touch it?"
Lucian raised his brows in mock surprise, then slowly pushed the bathrobe wider open.
"If you want to," he said lightly, "you can."
Lana stared at him in shock. ’Why am I saying all this?’ she wondered.
But as she looked at him, calm, indulgent, and unbothered, another realization struck her.
’Wait... is this a dream?’
Otherwise why would Lucian allow her to do everything she wants?
She glanced around quickly. The reflection in one of the windows was missing, warped like unfinished glass. Her breath caught.
’It really is a dream.’
The moment she realized it, all her hesitation vanished. Shame, embarrassment, restraint... everything dissolved into nothingness.
To test it, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him.
Lucian didn’t resist. He simply smiled.
Her heart raced as she leaned closer and brushed her lips against his.
The next moment, his gentle gaze remained unchanged, unmoving and warm, as if he belonged entirely to this dream.
Emboldened, Lana kissed him again, more daring this time. When he didn’t respond immediately, she tightened her arms around him.
"Kiss me back," she murmured softly.
Lucian obeyed.
The kiss deepened, unhurried yet intense, until Lana felt her knees weaken.
The warmth of his touch felt too real, too vivid. For a fleeting second, she almost forgot this wasn’t reality at all.
Her fingers slid into his hair, and she whispered, half-laughing,
"Your hair is really soft."
Lucian chuckled. "If you like it," he murmured, "you can keep touching it."
She laughed quietly and shook her head. "No, that’s enough."
As she pulled back, her balance wavered, and she instinctively grabbed him.
"Hold me properly," she ordered.
Lucian complied without hesitation, steady and patient, as if he would accept any unreasonable demand she made.
Seeing that, a mischievous spark lit up inside her. ’He won’t remember anyway,’ she thought. ’It’s just my dream. I can do whatever I want.’
"Kiss my face," she said softly. "Like I’m something precious."
Lucian’s eyes softened, deep affection flooding them as he leaned in.
Lana’s heart pounded wildly, her breath hitching as she closed her eyes.
Cool lips brushed against her cheek, her forehead, and the corner of her lips.
It tickled, and she couldn’t help but smile, warmth blooming in her chest. Happiness washed over her in gentle waves.
In her past life, she had rarely experienced such tenderness. But now... even if it was only a dream... she had it.
And she was truly, genuinely thrilled.
When her courage grew, Laa’s hands wandered with reckless curiosity, tracing Lucian’s form until his breath hitched and a low sound escaped him.
For a fleeting moment, her heart raced with a guilty thrill.
’This feels... dangerously satisfying,’ she thought.
She wondered...
’If I pushed him just a little further, would he lose control? Would he pull me closer, dominate the moment, or would he retreat behind that aloof, superior calm of his?’
Then, just as suddenly, the dream began to dissolve.
"No... don’t," Lana gasped, panic tightening her chest.
She looked at Lucian, her voice trembling.
"Wait for me. I’ll come find you again."
Lucian only smiled, that quiet, knowing smile, and somehow she understood, this dream may never return.
Regret crashed over her. She clenched her fists, nails biting into her palms.
’Life is cruel,’ she thought bitterly. ’The moment I finally enjoy something, it’s torn away without mercy.’ 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Drawing a deep breath, she opened her eyes to the familiar ceiling above her bed, pale and unchanging.
Far away, Lucian woke at the same moment. His face was still flushed, his heartbeat refusing to slow.
"That was... delicious," he murmured.
He touched his lips absentmindedly, lingering as though savoring the last trace of warmth.
As his hand drifted over his chest, a presence surfaced.
The water spirit appeared, eyes sharp with fury, pointing at him as if scolding, condemning him without words.
Lucian chuckled softly.
"I couldn’t help it," he said lightly. "She did everything of her own will."
The spirit vanished in a flash, as if enraged by his nonchalance.
The very next second, a massive wave of water crashed toward him. Instinct took over.
Lucian reached out reflexively, and a barrier shimmered into existence around his body. Water splashed harmlessly against it, droplets freezing midair.
He blinked.
Only then did realization dawn...
’I didn’t have psychic power at this moment, yet I have triggered it huh?’
A slow grin spread across his face. His instincts had triggered it at last.
He looked toward where the water spirit hovered, practically fuming, and laughed softly.
"I kissed Lana," he said with quiet certainty. "Something good was bound to happen today."
The spirit stared at him, torn between confusion and anger.
Lucian alone knew the truth. Whenever he kissed Lana, his luck seemed to surge.
