[GL] Someone Once Told Me the Grass is Much er on the Other Side-Chapter 137: Sophmore Year Arc: Two
Jasona slapped her teammates hands as she ran onto the court with the beginning of the game of the season. The courts were dark with lights as each of the teammates were introduced.
Aurora waved at her lover in the high bleachers, blowing kisses to her. Even though the Alpha couldn’t see the Omega in the stands, it was sort of the thought that counted in this situation.
Jasona got into her position as a forward along with her teammates beside her. The whistle blew.
The referee tossed the ball high into the air, and the opposing center jumped, just a fraction too late. Jasona’s teammate swatted the ball toward her, and she snatched it mid-air, the rough texture biting into her palms.
The crowd noise blurred into a buzz as she sprinted forward, sneakers squeaking against polished hardwood. Her pulse pounded in her ears, sharp as the staccato rhythm of her dribble.
She feinted left, her defender bit, then exploded right, the ball snapping against her fingertips like a coiled spring.
Out of the corner of her eye, she caught the blur of a red jersey cutting baseline. Without hesitation, she whipped a no-look pass behind her back just as two defenders converged on her. The ball found her teammate’s waiting hands with surgical precision.
Swish!
The crowd was stunned silence before erupting again. Jasona didn’t cheer. She just smirked, knuckling sweat from her brow as the opposing point guard glared at her from across the key. The scoreboard flickered: 2-0.
A sharp, visceral scream tore through the gymnasium, slicing through the noise like a blade. Heads whipped toward the stands. Aurora was on her feet, phone clutched, her face twisted in horror. Her face instantly turned red. She was just so excited.
Jasona laughed, hearing her girlfriend in the bleachers. She loved her girlfriend.
Jasona kept playing, dribbling down court and passing the ball to her teammates. She blocked a shot, stole the ball back, and scored again with a sweet mid-range jumper.
The buzzer sounded for halftime. The scoreboard read 32-24, their team in the lead. Jasona jogged toward the bench, her jersey damp with sweat sticking to her skin.
In the audience, a couple of figures caught her eye. Scouts? Hmm, she wasn’t expecting anyone so they must have been for someone else.
The gymnasium lights dimmed further, plunging the court into near-darkness save for the pulsing glow of handheld LED batons wielded by the halftime performers. A bass-heavy remix of some pop anthem thundered through the speakers, rattling the bleachers beneath thousands of stomping feet.
Jasona tilted her head back, gulping water from her bottle as the acrobatic squad launched into their routine, backflips synchronized to the beat, neon streaks painting the air where their limbs blurred.
The crowd roared approval, their collective breath fogging the cold gym air into a hazy mist that caught the strobe lights like fractured diamonds.
Jasona sat in the locker room about to get into the shower when the two scouts she noticed earlier entered.
They approached Jasona with measured steps, leather portfolios tucked under their arms. Their polished dress shoes tapped softly against the damp carpeted floor, leaving faint wet prints that vanished almost instantly.
The taller scout wore a crisp navy suit, while the shorter one adjusted a thin silver tie over his charcoal shirt. Their expressions remained impassive, professional masks that revealed nothing.
Jasona froze mid-motion, water bottle halfway to her lips. She could feel the residual sweat chilling on her skin beneath her jersey. Ew, she felt disgusting. She needed to take a shower.
"Jasona Maxwell," the tall scout said. She looked up to the Beta, shocked to see them.
"Oh shit!" She said, laughing.
"Jasona!"
She looked over and see her coach motioning for her and the scouts to go to his office for more privacy.
Jasona grabbed a towel and quickly wiped her arms and face before following the scouts down a narrow hallway lined with championship photos. Their footsteps echoed strangely against concrete walls painted institutional green.
One scout pulled at his collar where dampness bloomed; the other kept glancing at Jasona’s taped ankles with clinical assessment.
Her pulse hammered against her ribs, not from exertion now, but from the sudden pressure settling over her shoulders like a physical weight. The coach’s office door stood slightly ajar, leaking yellow light onto the scuffed linoleum.
When inside, the coach gestured for her to sit. She did while the scouts stood to the side.
"They want to offer you a Project C contract for next season, your junior year," the coach said.
"Holy shit!" She said looking at them all. "Are you serious?"
Everyone nodded their head.
Jasona shot up, her damp towel falling forgotten to the floor as she pumped both fists toward the stained ceiling tiles.
A silent scream ripped through her clenched teeth, eyes squeezed shut against the fluorescent glare.
She bounced on the balls of her feet, the damp locker room carpet muffling her frantic stomps, each jump sending sweat spraying from her soaked curls onto the institutional-green walls.
"What about school?" She asked.
"You will be tutored," the coach said.
"What country?" She asked.
"Your stats are so high that you can choose the country and team BUT you can not know anything about the team," the shorter scout said. "And you must pick NOW. Other wise, the team and country will be chosen for you."
"So...you gotta an idea?" The taller one asked.
"Wait, so you’re gonna go?" Aurora asked standing in their apartment kitchen cooking dinner. Jasona sat on the stool at the bar watching the Omega cook. "What country did you choose?"
"Fermany," Jasona said.
"Wow!" Aurora began to stir the puree and then placed it on steak followed by the small pieces of potatoes.
Once the plate was made, she put it in front of her Alpha. She then took to the other plate and placed it next to Jasona. Aurora came around and sat down next to Jasona.
"So that means you’re gonna learn a new language," Aurora said.
Jasona started as they ate.
The silence stretched warmly between them, punctuated only by the clink of silverware against plates.
Aurora’s roasted potatoes, crisp edges yielding to fluffy centers, held Jasona’s attention as much as her Omega’s quiet presence.
Each bite flooded her senses: the smoky char of the steak mingled with rosemary’s piney bite, earthy potato starch dissolving on her tongue.
She watched Aurora’s fingers, delicate yet sure as they gripped her fork.
Jasona speared a charred end of her steak, its rich juices staining the plate burgundy. Without breaking eye contact, she lifted it toward Aurora’s parted lips. Aurora leaned in, her breath catching. Her teeth sank into the tender meat slowly, deliberately, as Jasona held the fork steady.
A drop of juice escaped the corner of Aurora’s mouth, tracing a glistening path down her chin. Jasona’s thumb brushed it away, the pad rough against smooth skin, lingering just a heartbeat too long before retreating. Aurora’s answering smile was a private sunrise.
"This is a big deal for your career same for Adama also going aboard," Aurora said. "So let’s make the most of this time we have left."
Jasona’s fork hovered between their plates, a bridge across steaming vegetables and glistening steak. She speared a chunk of roasted carrot glazed in honey, its edges caramelized to near-black perfection.
With deliberate slowness, she brought it to Aurora’s lips. The Omega’s eyes locked onto hers, pupils dilating as she leaned forward. Her teeth closed around the offering, the crisp exterior yielding with a muted crunch that echoed in the quiet kitchen.
When dinner was over, they sat out on the balcony, enjoying the cool night air, and just being in one another’s arms.
Jasona slid the glass door shut behind them, muting the kitchen’s lingering scents of rosemary and seared meat. The balcony was narrow, barely wider than Jasona’s wingspan, with wrought-iron railings still warm from the day’s sun.
Below, the campus was still...still and quiet. The begin to kiss, slow and deep. Aurora pulled back, biting her bottom lip while she stared into Jasona. She was going to miss this Alpha.
Jasona got up and stood leaning on the balcony. The Omega knew what the Alpha wanted and she was willing to give it.
Jasona pulled Aurora close against her, the wrought-iron railing cool at their backs. A breeze whispered through late-autumn leaves still clinging to oak branches, carrying the distant hum of traffic and the faint sweetness of decay.
Aurora got on her knees and pulled down Jasona’s boxer briefs, her clit bouncing up in front of Aurora, practically slapping it in her face. Aurora quickly place it in her mouth, sucking it. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Her cheeks hollowed out and she placed her own hand in her pants, rubbing her pussy that was becoming moist.
"Oooo, I havent made you cum from a blow job yet," Aurora said.
Jasona laughed. "Tonight WONT be the night because I want your pussy!"
