Boom—!!!
The moment the arrow struck, the world seemed to collapse inward. A terrifying explosion erupted, blasting the ground apart and sending a towering wave of dust and debris into the sky.
The entire valley trembled violently, cracks spreading in every direction as if the land itself could no longer bear the force.
Viktor’s body was thrown backward like a broken ragdoll.
Blood sprayed from his mouth as his chest caved in under the impact. His figure smashed into the ground, skidding across the shattered stone before finally coming to a stop dozens of meters away.
The violent storm of energy slowly dissipated, revealing a devastated battlefield. The ground had been carved open, leaving behind a massive crater at the center of the collision.
Not a single mummy remained in that area—everything had been wiped clean.
Lev slowly lowered his arms, with faint traces of crimson energy flickering around his body before fading away.
From a distance, Seth glanced at the scene and let out a low chuckle.
"Not bad."
His voice was calm, as if what had just happened was nothing more than a trivial exchange.
In the distance, Viktor struggled to move.
His body trembled violently as he tried to push himself up, but his strength had already been completely drained. His vision blurred, his ears ringing, and the world spinning around him.
He coughed out another mouthful of blood. Looking at the devastated surroundings, his eyes were filled with disbelief. Of the last four players who had stood together just moments ago, only he was left.
"Not bad, not bad," Lev said with a grin, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Do you have any more trump cards like that? If you do... hurry up and use them."
Viktor, lying on the ground, felt his heart sink into endless despair. After these words were spoken.
"Tsk... boring."
At that moment, Zayen took another step forward; his expression was indifferent, as if he had already lost interest in the outcome.
Then he slowly raised a finger and pointed it towards Viktor.
In the next instant, a surge of intense flames gathered at the tip of his finger, condensing into a small, blazing point of light. The surrounding air warped under the heat, faint ripples spreading outward as the energy rapidly compressed.
Viktor’s pupils shrank, but before he could even react—
Whoosh!
The flame shot forward at a very fast speed. It was too fast to even follow. Like a streak of light tearing through space heading straight for him.
Viktor’s pupils shrank to pinpoints. His body tried to move, but it was too late.
The flame pierced straight through his chest.
Thud.
Then a faint crackling sound echoed.
The small flame at his chest suddenly spread. Like dry wood catching fire.
Boom—!
Crimson fire erupted from within his body, bursting outward in an instant. His flesh, his bones—everything was engulfed, burned, and reduced to ash before he could even scream.
"Sigh... another boring day." Seth let out a quiet breath as he stepped forward, hands tucked casually into his pockets. His gaze swept over the scorched battlefield, now nothing more than ruins and ash, as if everything that had just happened wasn’t even worth remembering.
"Are we going to set more traps to lure other teams over later?" Lev tilted his head slightly as he asked.
Seth shook his head. "The same method only works once. The commotion just now was too big. Anyone nearby would have noticed. They’ll definitely be extra cautious now."
Lev clicked his tongue, with a hint of disappointment flashing across his face. "Tsk... what a waste."
"So what now? We just wait?"
Seth didn’t answer immediately. He simply opened the system map and glanced at it; his eyes quietly scanned the system map.
And the moment his expression suddenly changed. "I let go... far from here."
"Hmmm, and what is that?" Lev was chatting with Seth, who suddenly changed expression.
"Move."
Lev grabbed Seth’s shoulder. In the next moment, flames erupted from beneath their feet, licking the ground like molten wings.
The burst of fire beneath their feet acted like a springboard, propelling them upward. Sparks scattered in every direction as their momentum tore through the air.
Seth’s heart raced. "L-Lev... what are you—?!"
Before Seth could even finish speaking, Lev angled his body, letting the flames act like a springboard. The burst of fire pushed them off the platform with explosive force, sending them arcing high above the battlefield.
BOOM!
A bolt of lightning suddenly struck the ground directly beneath where they had been standing moments ago. The impact sent a blinding flash across the battlefield, followed by a thunderous roar. Dust, shattered earth, and flaming debris exploded outward in all directions, forming a massive shockwave that rolled across the field.
Seth instinctively flinched, gripping Lev tightly. "What the hell was that?!"
The moment Seth and Lev landed, the air around them seemed to shudder.
The sky above darkened suddenly, clouds swirling violently as if the heavens themselves had grown angry.
Crackling energy sparked across the darkened clouds. Lightning flashed, illuminating the battlefield in jagged bursts, followed by booming thunder that rattled the ground beneath their feet.
Seth’s eyes narrowed. "...What now?"
Before Lev could answer, a blinding bolt of lightning struck the ground a few meters away, sending shards of rock and dirt flying in all directions. The force of the strike created a small crater, steam rising as the electricity sizzled against the scorched earth.
From the center of the lightning strike, a lone figure slowly emerged.
Electricity danced across his body, crackling like a living storm. The air around him hummed with raw energy, each step leaving sparks on the ground.
His eyes glowed with a pale blue light, and the black cloak around his shoulders flapped violently in the stormy wind. He raised one hand, and arcs of lightning leapt along his fingers like snakes ready to strike.
Seth and Lev instinctively stiffened. Even for just one person, the sheer presence was overwhelming.
The moment Seth and Lev set their eyes on the young man, a strange aura suddenly radiated from him, causing their expressions to turn serious.
"Who are you?" Seth was the first to recover, his eyes locking onto the young man as a hint of caution flickered across his gaze.
The young man didn’t answer immediately. He simply swept his gaze over the two of them, as if he were looking at prey.
"You don’t need to know."
Boom—!
Before the last word even fully left his mouth, his figure vanished.
A streak of lightning tore across the battlefield.
Seth’s pupils shrank. "Lev—!"
Too late.
A blinding flash exploded right in front of them as the young man reappeared, his palm wrapped in condensed lightning, striking straight toward Seth’s chest.
Bang!
Lev reacted instantly. Flames erupted beneath his feet as he slammed into Seth’s side, pushing him away.
The lightning strike hit the ground instead.
BOOM—!!!
The earth shattered. A massive crater exploded outward, arcs of electricity spreading across the surface like a web, turning everything black and charred.
Seth flipped midair and landed several meters away, sliding across the ground before stabilizing himself. His expression finally changed.
"...Fast
Lev landed beside him, flames flickering violently under his feet. "Damn...I am going to kill you."
Without wasting another second, Lev drew his sword. Flames erupted from his body, spiraling outward like a miniature sun. With a roar, he dashed forward, his movement a blur of heat and light, charging straight at the young man.
Seth didn’t hesitate either. He raised his hand, and the ground beneath them quaked violently. Cracks spiderwebbed outward before gaping open, spilling forth mummies from the earth.
But these weren’t just ordinary human mummies. Mixed among them were twisted, ancient magic beast mummies—hulking creatures wrapped in decayed bandages, their eyes glowing with arcane energy.
"Attack! "Seth’s command was sharp, almost primal.
The next second, as if possessed, the mommies all charged straight towards the young man.
The young man’s eyes widened, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. He had never expected such a sudden and overwhelming display of power.
Before he could react, Lev propelled himself high into the sky, gathering a massive amount of fire energy around his sword.
The flames roared and danced violently, licking the air like molten wings. The blade itself shone red-hot, glowing brighter with every heartbeat.
With a powerful roar, Lev swung the sword in a wide arc. A blade of red fire shot forward, tearing across the battlefield like a comet. Fireblade shot forward like a comet, aimed directly at the young man.
The heat was so intense that the air itself warped, and the young man instinctively braced himself.
At the same time, Seth pointed toward the young man.
The mummies obeyed without hesitation, surging forward to trap and overwhelm him, preventing escape. The combination of sheer numbers and Lev’s blazing attack left him nearly cornered.
The young man’s pupils narrowed. Lightning began to crackle along his arms, his aura igniting in a violent electric storm. He thrust his palms forward, sending a surge of energy to intercept Lev’s fireblade.
Boom!
Lightning exploded out of his body.
A violent storm of electricity surged in all directions, clashing head-on with Lev’s descending fireblade. Flames and lightning intertwined, tearing through the air as the two forces collided.
The impact forced the young man a step back, his feet carving deep marks into the ground. But at the same time, the advancing mummies were caught in the blast—dozens were instantly blown apart, their bodies reduced to charred fragments.
The young man’s expression finally changed.
Crack—!
Lightning surged again, this time sharper and more concentrated. He raised his hand and slashed downward.
A pillar of lightning fell from the sky.
BOOM!!!
The ground shattered as the strike obliterated an entire section of the mummy horde, leaving behind a smoking crater.
Residual arcs of electricity spread wildly across the battlefield, striking anything in their path. Several mummies convulsed violently before exploding into fragments, their bodies unable to withstand the overwhelming energy.
Seth’s eyes narrowed. But Lev only grinned wider.
"Good."
Boom—!
Flames erupted beneath his feet as he shot forward again, his sword blazing even brighter than before. The heat around him intensified, the air itself beginning to distort as his aura surged to another level.
The young man lifted his head, lightning dancing violently across his body. His gaze locked onto Lev—completely ignoring the remaining mummies.
He stepped forward.
Crack—!
His figure vanished in a streak of lightning.
The two met in the center of the battlefield.
Clang—!!!
Sword and lightning collided.
A deafening shockwave erupted outward, flattening everything within dozens of meters. The remaining mummies were blown away like dry leaves, their bodies torn apart or crushed into the ground under the sheer force.
Even the massive magic beast mummies couldn’t withstand it.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Lev swung his sword repeatedly, each strike heavier than the last, flames roaring like a raging inferno.
The young man responded with pure speed and precision, lightning condensing into blades, spears, and arcs that met every attack head-on.
Lev suddenly let out a loud roar, his flames surging wildly as he forced the young man back with a powerful swing.
Boom—!
The young man slid across the ground, lightning sparking beneath his feet as he stabilized himself.
Then both of them moved again. But this time they were faster and more violent than before.
Boom—!!!
They clashed again, this time even harder than before. A massive shockwave tore through the battlefield, completely wiping out the remaining mummies in an instant.
