Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos-Chapter 75 - 67: Prison Break and Rain
Two hours later, the inventory was finally complete.
Acquired: 640 E-level Divine Weapons, 550 D-level Divine Weapons, 210 C-level Divine Weapons, 20 B-level Divine Weapons, and 75 Horn Bows.
These weren’t all the natives’ weapons—a good chunk of them had been destroyed during the battle.
Acquired: 5000 E-level Beast Cores, 1000 D-level Beast Cores, 80 C-level Beast Cores, and 5 B-level Beast Cores.
This haul wasn’t as much as Yi Tian expected, but it’s still better than nothing, so he didn’t dwell on it too much.
After the fierce fight, North City was stained with blood and reeked of a pungent, fishy smell. Gu Qianqiu was directing the captives to cover the bloodstains with dirt.
"These city walls are still a bit too low; even a Late-stage Gold can easily jump over them. The City Walls from the Construction Platform without blueprints are getting more and more cost-ineffective. If only I could get my hands on a badass wall blueprint."
Yi Tian looked up at the North City and shook his head.
In today’s battle, Yi Tian had the absolute advantage.
If it weren’t for the talents of Kiddo, Five Tigers, Yi Tian, and the others, they’d probably have been thrashed by the natives.
But talents are "bugs"—even Celestial Dao Mist automatically gets kept out.
Every talent is one-in-a-million, yet the main members of Yi Tian’s territory all have them, and at least at S-level, too.
It’s like playing the fool and hiding your true strength, leaving the native High Priests forever clueless about Yi Tian’s bottom line.
Unless some even stronger faction was dead set on wiping out Yi Tian’s territory, that’s the only way they might take him down.
The only thing that could beat Yi Tian isn’t the trial—it’s hatred!
The Three-Eyed One-Horned Tribe hated him enough, but were unlucky.
Their strength was also a notch lower!
Not only did the Omen Stone not come in handy, it also brought them a boatload of trouble.
With more and more members joining the territory, Yi Tian planned to split it into an Inner City and an Outer City in the future.
The Inner City would become the War Manor; eventually, he’d move out all factories and warehouses and expand it again, creating a paradise on earth.
For the Outer City Walls, Yi Tian wanted to build even taller fortifications—War City Walls so imposing that even Platinum and Diamond would have to stop in their tracks.
Yi Tian’s mindset was already different from others. Besides getting stronger as his number-one goal, his second was the Enlightenment Realm.
Only with a pleasing environment does one have the will to keep going.
Yi Tian was raised by his grandfather, who passed away when he was in university.
Originally a loner, he gradually grew fond of this world after arriving here.
On Earth, Yi Tian longed for the Immortal worlds. He dreamed of traveling all across the motherland after graduating, searching for the Flood Dragon and the Immortals.
But he knew, that chance was hard to come by.
Especially after touching on that profound realm last night, certain longings in Yi Tian’s heart were completely awakened.
This territory was like a blank canvas—he wanted to write grand strokes on it, like a carefree, elegant calligrapher, painting dreams he could never fulfill back on Earth.
Paradise on earth, a spiritual sanctuary, and more...
"Lord, the Three-Eyed One-Horned High Priest just tried to escape from jail, but Divine Eagle caught him and brought him back."
At this moment, Fire Dragon rushed over to report to Yi Tian, interrupting his daydreams.
"Didn’t he have a Restraining Belt on? How could he still try to escape?" Yi Tian frowned, clearly annoyed.
The Three-Eyed One-Horned High Priest was his main bargaining chip for extortion. If he got away, there’d be less to squeeze out of others in the future.
"This guy’s spirit wasn’t restrained. After he recovered a bit, he used Spiritual Attack to knock out the brother watching him, then tried to escape with the Heaven-Reaching Tribe High Priest. Both of them were restrained, but they overestimated their speed. Before they even reached the prairie, Divine Eagle dragged them back." Fire Dragon reported honestly to Yi Tian.
"How’s the brother who was watching them?" Yi Tian asked Fire Dragon.
Three-Eyed One-Horned High Priest?
Heaven-Reaching Tribe High Priest?
The two of them—real birds of a feather, even their escape plans depended on each other!
"The Three-Eyed One-Horned High Priest didn’t recover much spiritual power, so it’s no big deal. A good night’s sleep and he’ll be fine." Yi Tian’s immediate concern for his men touched Fire Dragon deeply.
"Mm! Go give that Three-Eyed One-Horned High Priest a good beating—hang him up and thrash him. And the Horned High Priest, string him up too." Yi Tian barked out the orders to Fire Dragon.
For a while, the native captives would have to stay in the territory—a light hand just wouldn’t cut it.
But Yi Tian also realized that the Restraining Belts weren’t invincible; spiritual power couldn’t be restrained by them.
"Also, install an iron pillar outside West City from now on, tie the Three-Eyed One-Horned High Priest to it, and let the prisoners be in charge of bringing him food and water. At all other times, if any prisoner dares approach him, just kill them!" Before Fire Dragon left, Yi Tian threw out another instruction.
Soon, two wails echoed through North City, one after another, striking terror into the hearts of all captives.
High Priests had always been transcendent figures in their eyes, all-powerful and sacred.
Gods above, Wizards in the middle, mortals below.
Now, as Messengers of God, these High Priests were being publicly strung up and whipped. Meanwhile, Fire Dragon swaggered in front of the eight Golden Warriors, lecturing them not to follow the High Priests’ example—or they’d meet the same fate.
Hei Shan was so pissed his face went pale, glaring daggers at Fire Dragon, itching to smack him around.
The High Priests’ screams were like a bucket of cold water, dousing Hei Shan’s fury.
Hei Shan clenched his fist hard, then let go, powerless.
Now, his strength was less than a tenth of what it was—not even a Silver Lad like Fire Dragon could he beat.
Apart from Hei Shan, Hei Bai, and Hei Yun, the other five Early-stage Golds were two elders from the Three-Eyed One-Horned Tribe, two Golden Warriors from the Heaven-Reaching Tribe, and one Golden Warrior from the Black Scale Race.
After being wounded, they’d been covered in Spirit Medicine and were now being watched by the Five Tiger Generals.
Even when Five Tigers glanced at them, they’d shiver in their boots.
Hei Shan might get spicy sometimes, but they didn’t dare play tough at all.
The Five Tigers had manhandled the Black Scale Race chief before. Actually, in Celestial Dao World terms, since they could control Elements, they should be called Spirit Beasts.
The whole point of putting Spirit Medicine on them was to get them back to work as soon as possible.
Golden Warriors were absolute pros at farming.
Once Yun Long, Yun Fei, and the others finished transplanting the Four Seasons Plum Blossoms and Cyan Jade Willow Trees, these captives would be put to work on the land.
"Fifth Child, make it rain!"
It was past 2 p.m., the temperature over 40°C, and the world felt like a steamer. Yi Tian specially checked on the livestock and saw them all lying in their dens, not even bothering to eat grass.
Helpless, Yi Tian had people toss in some ice blocks, and sent a few guys to cut grass and feed the cows and sheep, which only then started moving around again.
Looks like it’ll have to be this way for a long time.
Luckily, the Ice Storage was big and well-stocked. If ice blocks ever ran low, just channel water in and freeze another batch at the bottom layer.
Some captives were still slightly wounded—making them work in the heat was just not going to fly.
For now, all he could do was make it rain to cool things off.
"Papa, check this out!"
Fifth Child ran to the villa rooftop, spiritual power and spiritual force merging, a surge of laws radiating from her, rocketing skyward.
In that moment, Fifth Child became one with the Heaven and Earth Rules—a storm erupted, with her at the center.
"Cloud Formation and Rainfall!"
With a soft shout, clouds quickly rolled over the territory.
The clouds spread wider and wider, gradually covering the entire territory.
Inside the territory—whether tribe captives, members of Yi Tian’s group, or even the Five Tiger Generals—everyone stared at the sky, baffled by the sudden weather flip. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Still, any rain to cool things down was definitely welcome.
"Boom—ka-boom!"
Thunder rumbled overhead as Fifth Child spat out a bolt of lightning, crackling and weaving blossom shapes in the sky.
Fifth Child’s lightning couldn’t compare with Spiritual Attacks—just a slight edge, mainly used for Cloud Formation and Rainfall.
Three bolts later, fat raindrops started splashing down on the territory.
They went from sparse to thick, and those cool drops felt pretty darn nice on the skin.
The Little Kiddos all dashed out into the rain, each taking turns cheering for their Fifth Sister.
Even Qixin and Liyue got caught up, ignoring all decorum to stand in the rain, embracing nature.
Yi Tian could feel the heat, but his body wasn’t affected by temperature, so he just stood quietly under the eaves, watching the Little Kiddos at play.
The downpour lasted a solid quarter of an hour...
When the clouds parted and the rain stopped, the sun came right back, but the now-moist earth dammed the heat just enough to take the edge off.
"Lord, why aren’t you playing in the rain? It feels so cool and nice!" Liyue came up to Yi Tian, puzzled.
Yi Tian looked chill and unfazed, not bothered by the heat at all.
As Yi Tian was about to answer Liyue, his gaze brushed over her rain-soaked shirt; the thin fabric clung to her skin, outlining every curve. It looked like she wasn’t even wearing underwear—he pretty much caught an eyeful.
"Ahem! Your shirt’s soaked—go change into something dry, quickly." Yi Tian cleared his throat to cover the awkwardness and subtly hinted to Liyue.
"It’s fine! Feels cool anyway." Liyue didn’t care.
Helplessly, Yi Tian just pointed to her chest.
"Ah..."
Liyue lowered her head; her face flushed red. She’d been around for over a decade—not some Little White like the Calabash Sisters.
The Calabash Sisters could jump naked into streams to play, but not them—not with men living in the villa.
When Liyue saw Qixin heading over in the same shape, she hurriedly dragged her upstairs to change, like fugitives on the run.
Yi Tian could only shake his head. When he saw Fifth Child come back downstairs, he asked with concern, "Fifth Child, after that downpour, how are you feeling?"
"I’m great! Just low on spiritual power—need to recharge!" Fifth Child hugged Yi Tian tight. "While the stream’s still cool, I’m going for a swim!"
"Haha, go play with your sisters!"
With heat like this, there’s no way Yi Tian would make the Little Kiddos sew clothes. As long as they enjoy their summer, it’s all good.
Fifth Child let go of Yi Tian and dashed toward the stream, seemingly with energy to burn.
Yi Tian took 400 drops of Water of Life from the Boutique Warehouse to speed up the Four Symbols Pine Tree’s growth.
Once again, he witnessed the blossoms, fruit, and maturity: twenty-four pinecones hung from the towering branches.
Picking one, Yi Tian peeled it open and ate the four pine nuts inside.
Strength 379, Constitution 382, Agility 381, Spiritual Power 410.
He just went ahead and picked all the rest, letting the tree use the Top-level Soil to start a new growth cycle.
With a big pile of pine cones in his arms, he headed back to the villa, where he found Liyue in fresh clothes, sitting on the sofa. When she saw him, she snuck a glance before immediately looking away.
"Liyue, here are two pinecones—one for you, one for your sister. They’ll boost your spiritual power."
After tossing her the pinecones, Yi Tian stashed the rest in a small store room on the first floor.
Whenever the Little Kiddos came back, he’d let them grab their own.
Then Yi Tian opened up the Mercenary System and switched his status to Active, ready to accept missions.
He knew all the Lords had just been invaded, and right now, all sorts of messes were bound to pop up—prime time for Mercenaries to pick up tasks.
