God-Tier Fishing System-Chapter 684
There is no rush to upgrade the system.
Once inside the city, he could simply inquire and obtain a map.
The information had already been gathered in Netherfall City.
There were five ancient clans in the White North Icefield.
Now, the Riverborn Clan and the Moonfall Clan, where Senior Sister Althea belonged, were locked in open conflict and confronting one another.
Even if the Riverborn Clan failed to gain the upper hand, dealing with the Moonfall Clan posed real difficulty.
Among ancient forces, it was nearly impossible to completely eradicate one side.
Unless external forces joined the struggle, or one faction’s strength suddenly surged and formed overwhelming suppression.
Otherwise, attempting to destroy an ancient clan was nothing more than wishful thinking.
"What is your name?"
The abrupt voice cut off Ethan’s train of thought.
They had already reached the city gate. The guards stationed there stared at Ethan and Lunara with sharp, alert eyes.
"Lunara."
She answered calmly.
The guard only glanced at her once before freezing.
The young guard’s eyes widened as though some restraining technique had locked his body in place. He stood motionless, gaze fixed entirely on Lunara.
He silently swore that he had never seen a woman so beautiful and composed in his entire life.
"Why isn’t the line moving? Hurry up. We’ve been waiting long enough."
An impatient voice urged from behind.
The young guard snapped back to himself, scratched his head awkwardly, and coughed twice.
"What are you doing in Flying Snow City?" he asked.
"We are tired from traveling. We are entering the city to rest."
"Alone?" he pressed.
Lunara did not answer. She merely glanced at Ethan.
"Together?"
The guard shifted his attention to Ethan. A man with such handsome features was equally rare.
His senses spread outward, probing the two of them.
Their auras were steady, indistinguishable from ordinary people.
On the surface, they appeared unremarkable.
Yet the guard understood one thing clearly.
With such appearance and temperament, they could not be ordinary.
Either he lacked the strength to perceive their true cultivation, or they possessed a secret technique that concealed their aura.
"Is there a problem?" Ethan asked calmly.
"No problem. Flying Snow City conducts routine inquiries."
The guard hurriedly smiled. He compared their faces to the portraits on the wanted posters before stepping aside and allowing them to pass.
Ethan’s gaze briefly swept over one of the wanted portraits. His brows furrowed slightly, then returned to normal in the next instant.
"What a talented and beautiful couple."
The young guard watched their departing figures with undisguised envy.
Ethan and Lunara entered the city and headed toward an inn.
The moment the waiter saw the refined pair enter, he rushed forward eagerly.
Such people were either wealthy or of noble background. Their status was certainly not simple. They had to be properly attended to.
"Young Master, do you require lodging or a meal?"
Ethan glanced at the second floor, where private rooms were fully occupied.
"A private room on the second floor."
"Of course. Please follow me, distinguished guests."
The waiter led them upstairs and seated them in a private room.
"What would you like to eat?"
"Serve all the specialties of your establishment."
"And drinks?"
"No alcohol. Bring a pot of fine tea."
"Very well. Please wait a moment."
The waiter closed the curtain and went downstairs.
Before long, he returned with a pot of tea.
"Sir, this is Flying Snow City’s unique snow lotus tea. Please enjoy."
"Wait."
Ethan stopped the waiter as he turned to leave.
"Do you have further instructions, Sir?"
"I have a small matter to inquire about."
After speaking, Ethan waved his hand, sealing the private room from the outside world.
"Sir, please ask. I will answer whatever I know."
"Who governs Flying Snow City?" Ethan asked.
"This city naturally falls under the authority of the City Lord’s Mansion. The City Lord is named Evander. He is an Ultimate Supreme realm expert."
The waiter spoke without hesitation. This was common knowledge and needed no concealment.
From their questions, he concluded that the two were not natives of the White North Icefield. They were likely cultivators from the Verdant Lantern Empire or elsewhere.
"When we entered, I noticed the gate was heavily guarded. Someone named Ryan appears to be wanted?"
"Does Ryan have any connection to Flying Snow City?" Ethan asked casually.
"Sir, since this is your first time in the White North Icefield, you may not know. Ryan has no direct connection to Flying Snow City. As for why he is wanted, I am not certain. Perhaps he offended the City Lord’s Mansion."
The waiter pondered briefly before replying.
Ethan placed two pieces of top quality spiritual marrow on the table and pushed them toward him.
"Explain clearly."
The waiter’s eyes widened.
This was not spiritual stone or spiritual crystal. It was spiritual marrow.
Top quality spiritual marrow.
The value was extraordinary.
It was far beyond what a mere waiter would ever handle.
"Young Master, this matter is not trivial. There are certain risks involved."
"Speak whatever you know."
Ethan smiled faintly and produced two more pieces of top quality spiritual marrow, placing them before the waiter. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
The waiter swallowed hard.
"Very well. I will share what I know. I only ask that Young Master does not reveal that this information came from me."
"You have my word."
"Young Master, this Ryan is from the Riverborn Clan of the White North Icefield."
"The Riverborn Clan is a legendary ancient clan hidden deep within the icefield. Their foundation is extremely powerful, even surpassing ordinary Super forces."
"The only factions here capable of matching them are the other ancient clans."
"Recently, however, I heard that serious conflict erupted between the Riverborn Clan and another ancient clan, the Moonfall Clan. I do not know the exact cause, but it seems related to a marriage agreement between the two clans. In the end, the two sides fell out completely. The younger generations clashed directly."
"Not long ago, ruins were discovered three hundred miles north of Flying Snow City. The ruins contained a large amount of rare ores. Both clans fought fiercely there. Although the Riverborn Clan had fewer members, one individual slaughtered many of the Moonfall Clan’s elite forces. Numerous elites fled with severe injuries."
"That person’s name is Ryan. That is the origin of the wanted order."
