Charlotte returned.

Or rather—Charlotte, making her very first journey through history, returned.

Looking at her teacher at this point in time—still youthful and inexperienced—Artemis was filled with emotion.

However, she did not interfere too much. Instead, under the identity of Lilith, she continued to “play” her role within history.

Months passed.

With Charlotte’s departure aided by the Blood Sacred Tome, “Lilith” and Harald also “officially” stepped into the ranks of the extraordinary.

From then on, Artemis did not intervene much in the unfolding of history.

She merely watched in silence as a guardian, protecting Harald’s growth.

The elves of the Tower Kingdom had long since been infiltrated by followers of the Origin. Though they still nominally revered the Moon Goddess, in truth they had already betrayed her.

Therefore, Artemis had no objections to the destruction of the Tower Kingdom.

However, the time Charlotte remained after her traversal was still too short. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Relying solely on his own growth was far too slow for Harald.

After repeated deliberation, Artemis decided to intervene personally—concealing her identity—to accelerate his growth.

After careful consideration, she chose to act at the moment when they were captured by the Tower elves and subjected to attempted sacrificial experiments.

As for why she chose this timing, it was because in Artemis’s memories, it was precisely after this painful ordeal that both she and Harald truly matured.

Only by experiencing this crisis would the naïve Harald fully transform, growing into the future leader of the Free Tribe Alliance, a man possessing the mental strength to contend with the Origin.

Everything went smoothly.

Using the blood-divine power Charlotte had deliberately left behind, Artemis further awakened Harald’s latent potential through a “bloodline covenant.”

And at that moment, she suddenly realized that, without noticing, she herself had become part of history—

“So that’s how it is…”

“The voice we heard in despair back then—the mysterious existence that granted Harald and me power… was none other than myself.”

Of course, Harald’s strength alone was still far from sufficient to oppose the Tower Kingdom, which had converted to the Origin.

And since she could not conveniently act in person, then… she would have to find Harald more allies.

With that thought, Lilith turned her gaze to the divine soul origins of the elven gods that Charlotte had entrusted to her before falling asleep.

“It’s time for you… to be reborn as well.”

She spoke softly.

With a wave of divine power, she sent those soul origins scattering across the Northern Frontier.

Time flowed on; days and months passed like an arrow.

Year after year went by.

Harald finally grew into a legendary extraordinary, while Artemis—under the identity of Lilith—remained by his side, witnessing his growth, the fall of the Tower Kingdom, and the rise of the Free Tribe Alliance.

Over these years, the soul origins she had once scattered were reborn as humans. Under her subtle guidance, they gradually gathered around her and Harald.

Casey, Abaddon, Rowena, Ron, Yorok, Femaror, Bardock…

Looking at these familiar names borne by the reincarnations of the elven gods, even Artemis—who had long suspected this—could not help but feel a strange sense of dissonance.

The elven pantheon, long destroyed… had reunited once more in an entirely different form, around her and Harald.

“The God of Wisdom and Art, Pallas, reincarnated as Casey; the God of Harvest and Celebration, Kriss, reincarnated as Rowena; the God of War, Mars, reincarnated as Abaddon…”

“They… are all future bloodborne princes.”

“This must have been foreseen by Teacher…”

Artemis thought silently.

No—she herself should have realized it earlier.

Teacher would never have entrusted her with the gods’ soul origins without reason.

Though the elven gods had no direct bloodline connection to Teacher, they were still linked through their power origins.

They… were the most suitable to gather around the True Ancestor of Blood once the bloodborne stepped onto the stage of history, becoming the gods of the bloodborne!

With this realization, Artemis gained an even clearer understanding of her teacher’s future plans.

With Artemis’s support, more and more extraordinary beings gathered around “Lilith” and Harald.

Even those elven factions that still worshiped the Moon Goddess began—consciously or unconsciously—to provide secret support to this human tribe.

At last… as momentum continued to build, the balance of power began to tilt.

Overnight, the Tower Kingdom—ruler of the Northern Frontier for hundreds of years—collapsed, and the Free Tribe Alliance led by Harald and Lilith rose to prominence.

Human power, for the first time, stepped onto the stage of history.

At the same time, Artemis finally awaited the second traversal of Charlotte from the future timeline.

Unlike the first traversal, empowered by the Gospel of Blood, this crossing was completely silent.

It was only when Lilith heard of Charlotte’s visit that she realized the moment of the second traversal had arrived without warning.

However, when she met the future Charlotte again, she sensed a familiar aura from her—the aura of the Origin.

This discovery shocked Artemis deeply.

“So… as early as Teacher’s second traversal through history, the Origin’s gaze had already fallen upon her…”

“It… awakened this quickly?!”

Yet she did not act rashly.

She still remembered Charlotte’s instructions before falling asleep.

Fortunately, the Origin had only left behind a trace of its aura—it had not truly awakened.

This allowed Artemis to form a plan.

“It seems that from now on, I must find a suitable vessel for Teacher’s descent, to conceal the traces of temporal traversal as much as possible, and evade the Origin’s gaze from the future.”

This plan aligned perfectly with Charlotte’s arrangements before her slumber.

According to those plans, during the years of Charlotte’s absence, Artemis was to act in her stead and lay the groundwork for the Blood Moon Era.

And the best way to do so was for Artemis to continue acting as the “True Ancestor” after Charlotte returned to the future timeline.

Thus, what needed to be done became obvious.

She required an opportunity—one that would merge her hidden identity with her teacher’s traversing identity into one.

That opportunity did not take long to arrive.

It came when Lilith “died,” and was embraced and transformed into a bloodborne by the twice-traversed Charlotte.

The long-familiar blood-divine power surged into the incarnation. As the incarnation transformed into a bloodborne, Artemis likewise sensed an even tighter bloodline bond forming between the incarnation and her teacher.

In other words, her incarnation could now support her teacher’s divine descent.

Artemis immediately realized that this, too, was likely part of Teacher’s plan.

Though Teacher was asleep, Artemis had a vague sense that Teacher… was always “watching” her. It was as though she was not truly sleeping, but scheming something, silently assisting Artemis in perfecting and advancing the plan, restraining the Origin, and pushing history forward.

“So… next, I must act as the True Ancestor of Blood, spread Teacher’s faith to every corner of the continent, further suppress the distant awakening, and wait for Teacher’s ‘return’!”

Sun and moon alternated. Years flowed on.

And thus… the Blood Moon Era arrived.
