Chapter 80: Half demon

For the first time, I saw surprise appear in that woman’s beautiful eyes. Lucia unconsciously took a step back. Her face showed a hint of tension as her usually indecipherable smile temporarily faded.

She opened her mouth slowly but said nothing. Maybe she just couldn’t find the right answer easily.

"How...?" She finally muttered to herself in a really low tone. If the incubus’s powers hadn’t been activated, I wouldn’t have heard

In truth, I could hear far more than just their murmurs. With my heightened senses, I could clearly discern the quickening rhythm of their heartbeat.

The sound was steady at first, almost soothing, but it grew erratic, each beat a drum signaling their rising tension. The air between us seemed to thrum with unspoken words, emotions swirling too densely to ignore.

Then everything disappeared from his face, just as a truly indecipherable smile took over his face. That woman was an expert at suppressing her own emotions.

"Hey, little boy, didn’t we agree to just help each other?"

She approached me with measured steps, her eyes shimmering softly with a crimson glow. Then, in a breath as sweet as a whisper, she spoke.

"Stay out of my life, okay?" She smiled gracefully and placed her hand on my chest. "A lady must keep her secrets."

I didn’t resist as she closed the distance, pressing her breasts sensually against my chest before finally claiming my lips with a passionate kiss. Even when a sharp pain coursed through my body, I remained perfectly still.

The taste of blood wasn’t as unpleasant as I’d expected. This time, however, there was no headache. In fact, my mind felt sharper, clearer than ever before.

She took a single step back, her presence still lingering close, the space between us almost nonexistent. Her eyes remained locked on mine, unwavering and intense.

Like that, we stood gazing into each other’s eyes, the moments stretching into eternity as the silence deepened, turning colder with every passing breath.

"Can you cut that crap, Lucia?" I whispered, my voice barely audible but sharp enough to cut through the silence like a blade.

Once again, surprise took over the woman’s expression. In fact, she looked even more astonished upon realizing that nothing was working on me. And nothing would.

A small smile appeared on my face at that moment. It was almost cute to see this woman, for the first time, not in control of everything.

I took a step forward.

The distance between our bodies was almost nonexistent. I could even feel the heat radiating from her body.

"I need you to tell me what you want. Lucia, we can’t keep going on like this." I stared directly into her eyes. "Don’t even try, your powers have no effect on me anymore. So the best thing for both of us would be to sit down calmly and be honest with each other."

She took another step back. I could see in the redhead’s gaze that she felt cornered at that moment.

Even so, she wasn’t willing to give up control so easily.

Suppressing her emotions once more, she allowed only a calm smile to surface. Then, she softly murmured words in a language I couldn’t understand.

I felt a sharp headache, followed by a wave of nausea washing over me. My vision blurred, and a strange sensation spread through my body, as if gravity itself was becoming denser, pulling me downward.

My stomach churned, and a bitter taste filled my mouth, as if the air itself was laced with poison.

I sighed lightly, realizing she had chosen to resist once again. Things would have been much easier if she had surrendered peacefully. But Lucia was an infuriatingly stubborn woman.

I tried to breathe, but it felt as if my lungs were closing, the pressure in my chest increasing. My legs wobbled, and for a moment... if things continued like this, I would really end up passing out.

Unfortunately, even my incubus powers were far too weak to oppose this woman. I didn’t even have the slightest idea what she was doing.

But that wasn’t a problem.

In fact, to some extent, I had already expected things to spiral a little out of control.

Upon regaining my memories of what happened while that entity took over my body, I discovered several interesting things.

The first was that Lucia had been using her powers to apply subliminal hypnosis on me and Lila.

However, I also discovered something quite outrageous about the tiny girl who’s always by my side...

"Hey! What are you doing to my master? You can’t do that, bad girl!"

Lilith’s cheerful voice echoed through the room.

Seeing that I wasn’t feeling well, the girl gently hugged my head. Then, she softly ruffled my hair, and little by little, all the negative symptoms disappeared from my body.

"There, there! Are you feeling better, Master?" Lilith twirled through the air excitedly, her eyes clearly showing that she wanted to be praised.

The reason Lucia’s power stopped working was simple: Lilith was more powerful than her.

For this very reason, despite being half-angel and half-succubus, Lila wasn’t able to notice that Lucia had been using her powers on her. Unfortunately, Lila was considerably weaker than the redhead.

But if Lilith is so powerful, why did it take her so long to do something about the woman in front of me?

Probably because she’s an complete idiot.

Knowing this, I grabbed the little girl by the head, squeezing her skull tightly. Then, slightly irritated, I complained:

"Why did you take so long?"

"Oww! Oww! Sorry, but I had a good reason for it!"

Since she said she had an explanation, I let go of the girl’s head, giving her a chance to explain herself.

Lilith scratched her own head, tearing up slightly as she complained that I had been too aggressive with her. Then she explained:

"I was really busy talking to Harper." She pouted, looking a little irritated. "Hmph! You’re so mean. I was making sure to increase your harem, and you’re still mad at me."

"First, I never asked you to do that," I grabbed that little idiot’s head again. "Besides, you could’ve nullified her powers at any moment, right? From the very moment you were summoned to Earth until now, so why did it take you so long to do something?"

"Oww! Oww! Oww! Don’t be so cruel to me..." she started screaming, complaining about the pain. Then she finally admitted, "I noticed she was a half-demon. I swear I planned to do something, but I got distracted with something else and forgot."

I honestly didn’t know how to react to this girl. And to make matters worse, her whining face was so cute that I couldn’t even keep punishing her.

Really, cuteness is such an unfair privilege.

After letting out a deep sigh, I decided to pretend I hadn’t heard any of that.

Finally, I turned my attention back to the redhead in front of me, who seemed extremely shaken.

Her eyes were dull, as if the energy had been drained from her body, and she could barely keep herself standing.

There was a slight tremor in her hands, and her breathing was irregular, almost desperate. Her face, once full of confidence, now looked vulnerable, an expression of loss and frustration written across every line of her features.

Even so, she seemed to be contemplating her remaining options to get out of this situation. This woman’s stubbornness was unbearable.

With no other choice, she finally decided to resort to combat, lunging at me.

"Don’t even think about using violence," Lila, who had probably woken up from all the commotion, quickly appeared to block the woman’s attack.

At least in terms of physical strength and fighting skills, Lila was quite close to Lucia. Maybe she was even stronger than the redhead in hand-to-hand combat.

Considering that Lucia was already exhausted, Lila quickly managed to immobilize her opponent.

And finally, Lucia gave up on her stubborn resistance.

Even so, she didn’t seem willing to reveal her plans or intentions. That woman was absolutely relentless.

"Wait, she’s a half-demon?" Hearing the whole story, Lila murmured in surprise. Then Lilith patted her head too, completely erasing the subconscious hypnosis she had received.

Suddenly, Lila seemed to understand everything, as if Lucia’s true identity had always been obvious.

After thinking about it for a few moments, she suggested:

"Master, you don’t even need to worry about her. We can just hand her over to the Angelic Guard. Even if you signed a contract with her, I’m sure they could break it without a problem."

As soon as Lila mentioned that name, I noticed fear flash through Lucia’s eyes. So I smiled slightly, realizing I had finally found her weak spot.

"Alright, let’s do it this way. I won’t turn you over to the Angelic Guard or whatever, and in return, you’re going to tell me what you want." I turned to Lucia.

"Master, I wouldn’t recommend doing that," Lila quickly objected.
