"I’m sorry if I offended you in any way." The principal apologized with a sincere expression.

It felt like she was about to burst into tears as she said this, however she tried as much as possible to compose herself.

"I know this might be about what happened to Estela a while back," The principal continued. "…however we the school took matters into our hands, and we can assure you that such an incident will never happen again, you have my complete apologies."

As Ken heard this, he thought to himself. ’I was only trying to make her feel out off her cool a bit, but it seems like I went to far. And now she’s even apologizing for that incident.’

"Big bro…?" Estela called out, bringing Ken back from his thoughts.

"Yeah… don’t worry everything is fine, I’m sorry for going over board myself. I shouldn’t have said all those things." Ken responded.

Upon hearing this, the principal relaxed on the chair and let out a sigh. "I am grateful, thank you." She uttered.

..

"Now that all those are cleared, shall we get to the main business here?" The principal proclaimed, as she sat upright, and then started.

She explained how well behaved Estela is in school and how good she was in her academics.

Although there was one thing that she noticed. The principal told Ken that many students at Estela age hang out with friends after school,

However in the case of Estela, after school she always leaves immediately. She wondered why she also did that, when she could hang out with some friends,

And after she had confronted Estela and asked, she heard it was because she had to go and pick her younger siblings.

..

"Yeah… she does. Is there a problem with that?" Ken asked the principal looking all confused as to why she would think that’s a problem.

"I’m not saying that it’s a problem," The principal responded. "…however she needs to make more friends, when she’s still this young. She has to enjoy her high school days."

Upon hearing this, Ken turned to Estela and asked. "Don’t you have friends…?" Although Estela didn’t respond, as she only bent her head.

"She doesn’t, I have watched." The principal replied to her.

"Even still, if she wants to make friends she would, isn’t that right?" Ken asked Estela while still looking at her.

And then she nodded, before replying. "…it is not that I don’t have friends, I just don’t like going out with people, I talk to them in the classroom and all, but after school when they invite me for a party, I always decline. This is my doing and not anyone else."

Estela said this with such a straight face, showing that these were her true feelings. She has nothing to hide so this was her going all out.

Ken saw this and became even more proud of her. As he looked into her eyes, she could see his mother in there, and this made his heart soften.

"You hear that… Miss principal?" Ken uttered, as he stared at the principal with one of his eyebrows raised.

The principal sighed knowing that she couldn’t push any forwarder.

Her main intention was to help Estela establish a good fit as a top student. This was a goal as the principal, however she took her personal feelings into it.

"Okay… I’m glad you know what you want." She said with a smile on her face.

As she said this, Estela nodded and smiled while she turned to Ken. "You see…?" Shw mumbled.

However, Ken didn’t understand what she meant by that, so he just gave her a smile instead.

"I can see that you two are very close." The principal said, while staring at Ken. "…it’s not everyday that you see siblings this happy together, even in your current situation."

’By current situation she means, us nor having a parent at the moment… huh?’ Ken thought. ’…well I guess she would hear about such, seeing as she’s the principal and how close she seems to be with Estela.’

Ken didn’t think much of this, as he know that no matter what people might think, he is going to take care of his family even without any parents.

"Well… what can I say. It is what it is." Ken responded with a smile on his face, while he took his hand behind Estela.

Seeing this, the principal felt a chill down her body. She couldn’t explain what it was, although at this point, she crossed her leg over others as if she was feeling something.

"Indeed…" The principal responded. As she was about to continue, her phone began to ring, and so she told them to excuse her while she picked it.

She didn’t leave her seat to take the call. She only faced another side from Ken and Estela to take it.

Meanwhile, Ken began having a conversation with Estela, and as he was doing this, the principal stared at them with one side of her eyes.

Although she mostly stared at Ken.

She made sure that she wasn’t noticed, although she couldn’t fool anyone.

[System Notification!]

[The Principal Is Curious About What Kind Of Person You Are]

Ken was stunned as he read this message. And immediately his eyes diverted to the principal.

However, the instant she caught a sight of his stare, she immediately removed her eyes from him.

’Is she seriously trying to know what kind of person I am?’ Ken wondered, as she noticed the way she removed her eyes from his.

’hmph.’

...

After a few minutes, the call ended and the principal turned back to face them.

"I’m sorry for the wait. It was the board of the school. They want to have a meeting later today after the open day has ended." The principal informed them.

Although she couldn’t understand why she was telling them. However, she felt like she just had to.

"Oh no, it doesn’t matter," Ken responded. "…It was an important call so it was necessary.*

The principal smiled as she heard this. She felt at ease knowing that he didn’t feel like she was wasting his time.

At the point, her interest in him grew even more as this spiked for the system to display a message to Ken again.

[System Notification!]

[The Principal Curiosity Of You Has increased]

’Wait what!?…’ Ken wondered. ’…what does it mean by her curiosity of me has increased. And speaking of, since when does the system start showing me all this?’

Ken was stunned as the notification hovered in front of him. He still couldn’t believe what he was seeing and also wondered when the system started showing him all this.

Although this was something that the system had already been doing since he first got it.

However, now it felt like it was more consistent. This was because he had already increased in tier level.

For every tier level he entered, he would get a new feature from the system, and this was the one he got from the intermediate tier.

After reading this, Ken then stared at the principal and saw the look in her face.

He was certain that this was the expression that someone with an interest would have when they are interested in someone, especially the ladies.

"Alright that would be all I have to say about Estela." The principal proclaimed. *…however before we depart do you have any questions you want to ask?"

’For instance as are you single?’

This was what Ken thought, after she said this. He knew that this might be what was going on in her head, even though she wouldn’t say it.

"No I don’t have…" Ken responded, as he stood up from the chair, and so did Estela.

"Oh…?" The principal uttered, as she to also stood from her chair.

"I guess we’ll be going now." Ken proclaimed, as he stretched his hand for a hand shake.

"Yes… Estela you can be heading to your classroom now." The principal said while she stretched her hand and shook Ken.

Estela, knowing what she meant by that, instantly left the office, leaving Ken inside with the principal.

After their shake, Ken saw that his sister had already left, so he decided to leave also because he needed to talk to her before he left the school.

However, as he was about to go, the principal call him back.

"Hey… can you wait a second." She uttered, and immediately Ken turned.

He saw her stretching her hand with her phone in it.

"Can you put your number here, so I can reach out to you in case there was something urgent to talk about."

The principal said this with a straight face, as she was trying to hide her flustered expression.

However, Ken knew what this was about. ’She wants to get my number so she could reach out to me when something urgent to talk about comes?’ Ken thought. ’…hmph… more like she wants to just have my number because she increased in me.’

"Oh… OKay"Ken smiled, while he took her phone and put his number down.

"Here you go…" He uttered, as he handed the phone back to her.

"Alright then… until next time.* The principal proclaimed. "…by the way my name is Claire." she uttered.

"Oh right… Goodbye Claire." Ken said, as he immediately left the office.

..

Walking out of the office, he encountered Estela standing opposite the office with a smile on her face.

"What are you doing here? I thought your principal said you could go back to her classroom." Ken asked. "… and what’s with that smile on your face."

"Come on did you really think I would just go back to my classroom when you haven’t left the school premises yet?" Estela proclaimed with a serious expression.

"Well… didn’t think so." Ken responded.

"By the way what happened in there?" Estela asked. "…I assume that she gave her number?"

Upon hearing this, Ken immediately looked at Estela while they walked out of the main hallway.

"Did you have something to do about it?" Ken asked looking all curious.

"Nope…" Estela responded, as she acted like she knew something about it.

Ken sighed as he saw this, although he couldn’t say anything else, as he had already figured out his answer.

"She didn’t give me her number, she collected mine." He revealed.

Upon hearing this, Estela turned to him and back before mumbling. "Hmph… it looks like she’s moving fast."

Ken heard this even though she lowered herself voice, however before he could say anything,

He heard his name called out from a far distance, and immediately he turned to see who the person was, he thought.

’I think I know that face…’
