Harem Legion: Queens of the Apocalypse-Chapter 145 Million Rounds and One Plan
"We’ve got a logistics director in the command who used to shamelessly pursue Charlotte, even though she was already married at the time," Sophia said with a grin, glancing at Charlotte. Charlotte rolled her eyes. Sophia kept going, "That guy was real good at sucking up. Took Charlotte on several ’inspection tours’ to the logistics base."
Charlotte’s face hardened. "Those were orders from above."
"I never said they weren’t. Why so touchy?" Sophia smirked, and Charlotte shot her another glare. "Yeah, I went to our logistics base a few times, but that’s our command’s setup. Don’t know if it’s the same over there in Northreach."
She paused and seemed to think for a moment. "Back then, I remember he showed me a gear inventory list. There’s a rule - standard firearms count can’t go below half the total combat personnel. Means at least 60,000 guns. Ammo’s stocked at a 1:1500 ratio per gun, which comes out to about 90 million rounds. They packed them in crates of 1500 rounds each... around 60,000 crates."
Magnus’s eyes went wide. "Did you say just the ammo stockpile hits 90 million rounds?"
"More or less. That’s my estimate." Charlotte nodded. "We’re near the border with Shinkoku - war could break out anytime. I figure Northreach would keep similar reserves."
Ninety million bullets. Magnus felt his heart skip - that’s not just stock, that’s a damn gold mine. If they were rice sacks, how many tons would that be?
"This is what I meant by a one-and-done solution," Sophia said confidently. Clearly, she already knew the numbers well. "So my proposal: give me 300 troops and 500 Metal Crystals. In a week, I can take Northreach’s logistics base."
Magnus was tempted. But then he remembered - back when Victor’s unit went up against Southark and then Springvale’s Cliff, they barely made it through. Sophia’s 300 troops? That’d be like a joke in comparison, even with those 500 crystals.
Now if it were 2000 Metal Crystals, maybe.
With 2000, take 200 people. Ten crystals per person, burn them over 10 hours. Use 150 to guard the supply trucks, another 50 to grab the goods - that could work.
What if he led the raid himself? Would 100 people be enough?
The thought of those 90 million bullets stirred something in Magnus. He still had over 2200 crystals stashed in his space. If he burned all the Metal Crystals... there was a shot.
Still, he pushed Sophia’s plan aside for now, calling it too risky. The route from Ashbrook Town to the logistics base was too long, too unpredictable.
But he didn’t forget about it.
And of course, the base wouldn’t only have bullets and rifles. Grenades, mortars, rocket launchers - they’d have those in droves too. Charlotte just didn’t know the exact numbers.

The new flyers with higher bullet prices had been out for a week, and trade volume was clearly up. Charlotte had dealt with 22 survivor squads trading bullets for food. They turned in 711 pistol mags and 199 rifle mags - decent numbers.
But compared to 90 million rounds?
That was child’s play. A joke, really. That day, Magnus was in the RV lounge with Emily, Liana, and a few others, going over the details of the new modified vehicle. Liana cleared her throat and, looking a bit proud, told everyone to follow her. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
She led them to a massive space with three large cement pools, each over 500 square meters wide with six-meter-high walls. She’d had someone stack grain sacks to form a broad staircase. Magnus and the others walked down the concrete steps - inside the pool sat ten buses. They boarded one.
Magnus froze for a second. No denying it - Liana had a real knack for logistics. The bus she touched had been transformed beyond recognition.
The side windows had all been sealed tight. Most seats left in place. Three big circular openings, half a meter wide, were cut into the roof, and thick metal pipes were fitted inside with precision.
Liana glanced at a few nearby female soldiers. They got the cue and fired up a sealed boiler beside the bus. Steam soon filled the air, heat surged. Within minutes, Magnus and the rest were sweating through their shirts.
"This one’s the sauna, not even the bath yet," Liana said with a grin.
Then she led them to another bus. This one had all seats removed. Dozens of showerheads lined the walls, and several drain holes dotted the floor.
Magnus looked around in surprise. "No water pressure, how’re these showerheads even working?" he muttered. Driven by curiosity, he twisted one open. Suddenly, hot water blasted out, soaking him completely.
Turning, wide-eyed, to Liana, he asked, "How the hell did you pull this off?"
Liana laughed, covering her mouth, "That’s why I placed the buses down here."
She pointed upward and explained, "See that? I had custom water tanks made. One for cold, one for hot..."
Magnus looked where she indicated. Sure enough, two massive iron water tanks sat at the edge of the pool. The cold one rested on the ground; the hot one was raised on a metal frame, with smokeless coal burning beneath it.
Several thick hoses ran down from them to the roof of the buses, hooking into hot and cold shower lines seamlessly.
"This is the shower one. We’ve also got a bath setup," she added, eyes gleaming.
She guided them to yet another bus. Similar setup inside - seats gone, and in their place stood six big wooden tubs. Each had its own adjustable temperature showerhead.
"These just got finished yesterday. No one’s tried them yet. So, what do you say? Want to be the first?"
Her voice was full of enthusiasm. The other women there, including a few squad leaders who came along, were clearly tempted. Not having had a proper hot bath in months was rough - especially for women who preferred staying clean.
Wooden tubs, hot water - it was a dream. Most of the women looked eager. But almost at the same time, eyes started drifting toward Magnus, thoughts clearly written on their faces: You still here? Planning to stay for the show?
He naturally understood. Even if he wanted a bath too, he wasn’t that clueless. Clearing his throat, he said, "You all go ahead. I’ve got stuff to take care of."
"Hold up!" Sophia suddenly called out.
Magnus froze mid-step. What now? You can’t be serious about bathing together, right?
But the thought barely formed before he realized he was way off base.
