Harem Legion: Queens of the Apocalypse-Chapter 198 She Killed Every Man She Saw
Magnus was still weak. The moment he managed to open his eyes, he felt the soft touch of lips giving him water again. Curiosity stirred inside, and with great effort, he opened his eyes - only to see Sophia’s flushed face, her eyes tightly shut, and her small mouth fumbling near his.
He wasn’t made of stone. Something warm bloomed in his chest. When Sophia finished feeding him, she lifted her head and stared at him wide-eyed. Magnus swallowed the water slowly, his voice hoarse. "Thanks."
"Thank you, my ass." Her face turned redder, and she slapped his forehead. He grimaced from the pain but couldn’t dodge.
Emily quickly grabbed Sophia’s hand. "Easy, Sophia. He just woke up. You wanna knock him back out?"
Magnus’ head throbbed. Emily said his wounds might’ve gone bad. Without a word, he sat up, used a Life Crystal, and started treating the wound on his left arm.
The pain eased, fever faded, and after a while, the gash completely healed. Power slowly trickled back into him. He brushed the dirt from his body, barely holding steady. Still weak, but better. Life Crystals really were a marvel. He made a mental note to hand some to Emily and the others once back.
The girls’ rations had been gone since yesterday morning. Not a bite since then. Magnus dug into his space storage and pulled out food.
Sophia and Emily already knew about his hidden space, but most of the women didn’t. So he grabbed a backpack, played it up a little, and pretended to rummage through it.
But when he pulled out a whole crate of bottled water, the thirty-some women just stared, dumbstruck.
They’d been marching since dawn. With food in their bellies, they moved faster. By around 6pm, all thirty-eight of them crossed the last mountain and reached the highway. Cheers broke out.
That’s what it meant to escape death. To find a sliver of light in the dark, grab hold of it - and come out into sky-wide blue.
They made it back to Hanford City and went straight for Hanford Advanced Finance College.
Luxe had acted just like Magnus had asked before leaving. In one hour that night, she led a hundred women empowered by Metal Crystals and took the college.
But Magnus had been in a rush and left instructions half-finished. The "no prisoners" part - he meant the Ridgebreak Battalion soldiers. Not every man in the school.
That didn’t stop Luxe. To her, any man was an enemy. No second chances. Didn’t matter what he said, or who stood up for him. Luxe had one word in her head - kill.
If she could, she’d wipe out every man on earth and set women free. Even if it meant the human race ended, she wouldn’t blink.
And to the girls at the college, Luxe did no wrong. Every single male classmate deserved to die. The ones who didn’t? They died fighting when the Ridgebreak Battalion rolled in.
The 600 men who survived had already joined the battalion - even if unarmed, they had all harmed their sisters, no better than the beasts in uniform. As soon as they reached the school gate, Magnus and his group ran into the search party.
Charlotte jumped off the vehicle the moment she spotted them and let out a long breath of relief once she saw everyone safe. She quickly led them into the dorm building.
They had received Luxe’s message two nights ago and rushed there with two hundred people. Over the past few days, they’d been combing the area, even scaling several mountains to search for Magnus and Emily. All they found were scattered corpses, and with supplies running low, the search team had to pull back to regroup and report to Charlotte before launching a full-scale sweep.
The broken window by the stairwell had already been patched up, but the dorm still carried a faint smell of blood. On the first floor, Charlotte had cleared out a room for them. Magnus, Sophia, and Emily entered to rest while the other women found their own corners.
After catching up briefly about the past two days, Luxe barged in, brimming with energy. "Commander! We followed your orders. Not a single man in this school was spared!"
Magnus already knew what had happened - that the male students, having sided with the Ridgebreak Battalion, were all executed by Luxe - and he didn’t blame her. Instead, he gave a faint smile and praised her before promoting her on the spot to squad leader.
Charlotte handed Magnus a small notebook. "Here’s everything from the battlefield, and a list of the current female students. We’ve talked to all of them. Most are willing to join the Ice Regiment. Their details are in here. Have a look."
Magnus flipped through the notebook. The loot from the convoy wasn’t much - only twenty-two transport vehicles were in usable condition. The rest had been blown up by him.
Still, they’d seized a solid cache of weapons: over 300 assault rifles, more than 400 pistols, 755 rifle mags, 662 pistol mags, 173 grenades - and something new: 52 military-grade landmines.
But what really caught his eye were the recruits. According to the notes, Hanford Advanced Finance College had yielded 3,462 female students, out of which 1,711 were Awakened. All had expressed their willingness to join the Ice Regiment. Those unwilling weren’t included in the count.
Over 3,400 women - 1,700 Awakened - and all of them young, already tempered by life in the apocalypse.
That kind of force - more than impressive. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"How are there so many?" Magnus lifted his head, surprised, and looked between Charlotte and Luxe.
Luxe let out a sigh. "There were more, but in just the past week, the Ridgebreak Battalion tortured over 400 of them to death. If not for that, we’d have even more fighters."
She paused, then forced a smile. "Though not all were harmed... When their attack started, we tried to escape. Ran out of options and holed up in one of the dorms. Over a thousand girls were barricaded in there. Only a small number of them got caught. Most of them... they made it through. The others..."
Her voice trailed off as she bit her lip.
It wasn’t hard to see why the women hated those men so much - the male students especially. The very first night they joined the Ridgebreak Battalion, they joined in on everything... even turned on the girls they’d once studied with.
Magnus lit a cigarette and muttered to himself, damn, those pathetic bastards had it coming.
