Lukas lay down on the same bed and hugged Emily to sleep.

In the morning he woke up due to gunshot and after he woke up, there were three more shots fired.

He looked at his aunt sleeping peacefully and smiled ruefully while shaking his head before going to the rooftop.

The streets were empty near the house but he heard the sound of a vehicle somewhere from the east.

’Come to think of it...aunt also has a car. If she wakes up before three days then we can just drive back safely’

As he was thinking that a vehicle entered his vision and it was now travelling through his street..

It was a Mercedes, he just didn’t have a clue which model. He wasn’t much of a car guy so it was obvious. Nonetheless, it was a sedan.

The car wasn’t moving at slow pace and a few dead walkers were following it. The back seat window of the car was open, suddenly a hand came out with a shotgun and fired towards the back..

BANGGG!

The dead walkers which were in front got mutilated with some of them dying due to some of the pellets hitting their evolution crystals.

Lukas moved back to avoid being seen by them, he didn’t want to create any kind of ruckus here. He looked through a small gap in the railing.

Just as he thought the vehicle would pass this house silently, it stopped exactly in front of their gate.

The doors of the car opened and three men came out with two of them holding guns. One of them was old, about 50 years or so, he was the driver. The one who was holding the shotgun was burly with age of 35 or above and the last one was a ugly young looking man with an age around 28 to 30 years.

’Why the fuck did they stop here?’ He had a little inclination and in the next moment he was proved right.

The old man came in front of the gate and rang the bell of their house.

This proved that they hadn’t come here randomly but to see his step aunt.

The other two began clearing the dead walkers coming towards them. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

The old man frowned and looked towards the roof, "She didn’t respond today...is she dead?"

"I hope that’s not the case, she is the most beautiful woman I have seen till now in real life.."

Lukas who had moved away at the last second, didn’t know who spoke the second sentence but the heavy tone made him believe that it was from the burly man and for the last it might be from the young man..’So these bastards are lusting for my aunt...’

He had seen their faces and now they were on his hit list. He could kill them right now but he didn’t want to do that without knowing the full scope of things.

What if there were a lot of vehicles and men like this in the camp. They might know that these people had gone to his aunt’s house and if they didn’t return then more of them might come.

If they all saw the destroyed vehicle, they would assume that it was done by his aunt somehow.

’Only if aunt was awake, I could have killed them and left..’ For the time being he would have to stay calm.

"Breaking through this door will take lot of time..what should we do?" The burly man spoke while shaking his head.

"I don’t think she is dead yet, she might be just too weak right now, let’s see..." The old man took a deep breath and spoke with a loud tone.

"Miss Emily, we know that you are alive. Why are you being so stubborn, come with us to the camp. There is plenty of food there and we also got three evolvers now. Soon they will be strong enough to protect us all.

Our leader is a kind hearted woman and you know that, she would never let anyone harm you"

The burly man and the young man shook their head.

"You really know how to lie old man.."

"What? Didn’t I speak the truth. Our leader did say to bring her safely"

"Then why do you bring that anesthesia with you...hehehe" The young man snickered.

"Ain’t it obvious? So that I can tell our leader that she was too weak and passed out mid route... what’s wrong with that.."

It was getting harder for Lukas to stay calm. These swines had planned to rape his aunt and were quite happily discussing about it. It seemed that this wasn’t the first time they were visiting here and aunt must have declined in the past..’Good thing, maybe she saw through their disguise...no wonder she compared me with lecherous guys’

The other thing he got from their talks was that they had three evolvers in the camp. That’s quite a lot for a single society even if it was a big one...’Interesting’

Maybe they had one evolver from the start and due to that the chances of evolving for others near him or her increased. They did talk about having a leader and the fact even these men listened to her, it was obvious that their leader was an evolver.

Also, it felt like she evolved quite early on, so maybe she would be level two or something.

"Ahh man...I have a feeling she is really dead or by now she would have come to her rooftop with a gun in her dainty hands..."

"Tch what a waste, those hands were made to hold cock not a gun...fuck it, let’s leave for time being"

"Alright...damn it really was a waste of fuel, let’s go and find some food"

Lukas heard them cursing and shortly after the sound of car doors slamming came and the car left.

Fuel really might be quite precious now. No new fuel was being dug out from the earth and whatever was left in the fuel stations was the only available source for it.
