Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures-Chapter of the Ruins of Amun Ra
Evan tightly grasped the rope with his left hand, using the momentum of his fall to swing towards the end of the staircase.
He raised his wand and shot out three beams of light to dispel the darkness around him.
In front of Evan was a huge monster that was beyond imagination.
It looked like a giant wheel or something like that.
The main body was a rustic, heavy bronze color, with many pointer-like shafts inside. Each about a hundred feet wide, engraved with complex runes. Between the shafts, there were many devices that appeared to be mechanical structures.
Yes, mechanical structures!
Evan could not give an accurate description of these devices, nor could he name them.
But they certainly resembled Muggle-made mechanical devices.
This strange device was the end of his journey, a weapon that could destroy the Ruins of Amun Ra and the gods of ancient Egypt.
It was a weapon crafted by the Titans, possessing terrifying power.
For centuries it had stood there, only part of it visible to Evan.
The wheel extended downward into the abyss, seemingly endless, until it was swallowed by the thick darkness.
A staircase led to a platform extending outward from the center of the wheel.
Evan waved his wand vigorously, and the rope began to automatically retract upwards, carrying him back to the stairs.
A few seconds later, he climbed up with great effort, his body was shaking, his hands and feet were cold, and he felt unprecedentedly tired.
With lingering fear, Evan stuck his head out and looked into the darkness below, then scrambled on all fours towards the platform in front of the giant wheel.
Above, the demons had finally noticed that Evan, who should have fallen to his death, had returned to the staircase. They charged at him in fury.
“Meoooow!” The skinny cat took the initiative to meet them, letting out another meow.
The meow seemed to make the demons hear something terrifying.
They stopped suddenly and tried to stay as far away from the cat as possible, with terrified expressions, but quickly recovered.
Seeing that Evan had already reached the final platform, the demons became even more furious, with distorted expressions…
“Meoooow!” The cat called again, but it was unable to stop the angry gods and demons from rushing towards Evan.
At that moment, Evan could no longer care about anything else; he hurriedly made his way to the center of the giant wheel, intending to activate the weapon.
There was no need to use magic, nor was there a need for magic items such as the Philosopher’s Stone or the Eye of Horus.
This weapon had its own switch. From the information given to him by Ramses II, he knew that the weapon had already been fully charged. All he had to do was close the switch, and it would operate on its own, destroying the Ruins of Amun Ra. At the center, there was a button; all he had to do was press it…
Evan originally thought this would be easy, but it was anything but.
He quickly found the switch, but this so-called button was definitely designed for big guys like Titans or Cyclopes.
To him, it looked like a massive boulder.
He pushed inward with all his strength, but the switch didn’t budge.
“Move!” He pushed harder.
Hearing the hymns and the whispers of the gods again, Evan knew that he didn’t have much time left. If he was controlled by the demons again and fell from the platform, there would be a real abyss below, and he would never be able to come up again…
Evan recalled the spells he knew, searching for one that could increase his strength, but he had no idea which one to use. It was said that there was such a secret spell in the Eastern Wizarding world, but he had no idea how to use it.
There were also potions with similar effects, but they were too rare, and Evan hadn’t prepared any.
“Getting bigger … getting bigger…” He suddenly remembered that the Engorgement Charm and the Enlargement Charm might work.
Although it was impossible to increase strength, increasing body size was equivalent to increasing strength in disguise.
He wasn’t sure whether it would work, and he had never heard of any wizard using this spell on themselves, but it was the only option he had.
“Engorgio, Engorgio, Engorgio…” Evan cast the spell on himself with a wave of his wand.
The next second, his body began to grow larger and taller at a visible speed.
It was a rather strange experience. Evan noticed the ground getting further and further away. He cast the spell a dozen more times, and in no time, his height surpassed Hagrid’s and continued to increase until he became a giant over a hundred feet tall.
In front of him, the switch that originally looked like a massive boulder could now be seen in its entirety.
“That’s not bad!” Evan nodded, looking at his body with satisfaction, his clothes enlarging along with him.
If he ever needed to impersonate a giant or enlarge a part of his body in the future, he now knew what to do…
The only thing that hadn’t enlarged was his wand, which was now held between Evan’s fingers like a toothpick.
He haphazardly shoved the wand into his trouser pocket and continued to push the switch.
The demons had reached Evan again, but being incorporeal, they couldn’t physically stop him; they could only attack him on a mental level.
Evan did his best to maintain Occlumency, while his body exerted all its strength to push the button in front of him. Perhaps because his strength increased after growing larger, or perhaps because he had more leverage, the switch finally moved, inch by inch, as he pushed it in…
With a click, the switch closed completely!
In a thunderous rumble, the weapon that had been sealed away for countless years was finally activated.
The giant wheel began to rotate, slowly at first, emitting terrifying energy.
Evan felt as if he had done something dreadful, and an inexplicable sense of dread filled his mind, making it hard to breathe. He saw colorful lights emerging from the center, initially the size of a grain of rice. The light spread from the center, quickly covering the entire wheel.
A magical barrier appeared between the center of the wheel and the bearings, displaying the sun, moon, countless stars, mountains, rivers and all living things.
The colorful light that had spread throughout the entire wheel did not stop there, but continued to spread outward, dispelling the surrounding darkness.
As the wheel’s speed increased, the light grew brighter and more blinding, continuing to intensify.
Evan had a sense that it was like an engine —the engine of a powerful weapon — and that all things in the world were about to be destroyed.

The demons seemed to know that the game was over, so they stopped harassing Evan and turned to flee.
“Meoooow!” Only the cat quickly pounced towards Evan, and a complex spell rune flew out of its eyes.
Before Evan could react, he found himself Apparating.
This was the method Ramses II had mentioned, ensuring Evan’s escape after activating the weapon. But what was this cat, exactly?
No one gave him an answer. At the last moment, he saw a suction force begin to appear on the rapidly spinning wheel.
The fleeing gods and demons were all sucked back into it, devoured by the wheel, becoming part of its power.
The next second, Evan vanished from the scene and reappeared in the desert…
