Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 196: Chipping Off walls
"You should leave. I don’t want to have this conversation with you," Green pushed against Sebastian’s chest.
Sebastian willingly took a step back, "This is all the space I’m giving you, Green. Now, we’re talking." He fixed his hands in his pockets to keep himself from reaching for her again, at least, until he was sure she would let him hold her.
Green straightened up and took her hands behind her to unhook her top, "You can stay if you want, but I’m going to shower." She said and turned her back on him.
Before Sebastian could understand what was happening, Green’s top came off her body, her slim back exposed to his eyes. He was stumped, not knowing how to react to such a bold provocation.
He knew he should look away but he felt like he would be sinning if he failed to admire Green’s gorgeous physique.
Green calmly took out a white towel from her wardrobe and tied it around her body before she shimmied her waist out of her very short skirt.
Sebastian gulped, gritting his teeth. He knew that Green no longer had anything underneath her towel, if he should loosen it around her, she’d stand there, naked and inviting.
Green turned to find Sebastian staring at her with slightly parted lips; she ignored him and walked toward the bathroom.
"What?" She questioned as her arm was seized by Sebastian.
"Tell me you don’t casually undress in front of other men," He demanded.
Green shrugged, "It’s none of your business." She replied.
"Please, Green. You don’t understand how I’m feeling, I just need you to tell me that you don’t undress in front of other men," Sebastian begged.
"Leave me alone," Her voice cracked at the end, catching Sebastian’s attention.
Sebastian locked his eyes on hers and realized that Green was showing genuine emotions for the first time. In the end, she was just a woman. But, it wasn’t this kind of emotion that he wanted.
He didn’t want her to tear up from sadness, or hurt.
"Hey, hey, I’m sorry if I said something to upset you..." he sighed, "I guess I was a bit too much, maybe I should just let you rest as you asked. My intention was never to hurt you, I just -"
"Now you want to leave?" Green locked her angry eyes at him.
Sebastian was confused, "Shouldn’t I? I mean, if you want me to stay, I will; but, I just thought you wanted some time alone," He hurried to explain.
Green scoffed, "You’re so annoying," She faced him squarely.
Sebastian saw the anger in her eyes and decided to be quiet, talking right now would end all his efforts.
Green sniffed, "You’re so annoying; you get under my skin and make me feel things that are foreign to me, Sebastian... you make me feel..." She paused and scanned around the room as if she would find the missing word lying in a corner.
She sighed, "Vulnerable. You make me feel vulnerable, Sebastian. I don’t like it." She said.
Sebastian smiled and took a step forward, "Vulnerability to the right person is not bad Green. It’s the right kind of surrender. It means you trust that person to an extent... sometimes, it’s love." He explained.
Green scoffed, "No. I’m incapable of loving, of surrendering to anyone. Stop trying to mess with me, Sebastian." She balled her fists.
"Look at me, Green," His voice was so gentle as if he was speaking to a baby.
His eyes looked deep into hers, his heart pounding calmly. He knew; Sebastian knew that Green was the one for him. He wanted no one else but her.
What she made him feel, he’d never felt it for anyone, his soul was so drawn to hers as if they were already one. He felt like he could be himself around her without trying to be a cool, calculating Alpha.
He wanted to be hers.
Tapping into his courage, he took another step and gently drew her into his arms.
"What -"
"I’ll just talk, Green. I promise... I just need to hold you," He implored.
Green licked her dry lips, slowly nodding and acutely aware of how possessively Sebastian’s arms were wrapped around her.
He just needed to talk, and she could listen.
Sebastian drew in a shaky breath; it was really hard for him to speak with Green’s barely-covered body in his arms.
Eyes locked on hers, he clenched his jaws and spoke, "You’re not incapable of love Green, neither are you unloveable. Whoever, or whatever made you feel that way is a bitch," he smiled at her, "What you feel is love, Green... let me love you, let me cherish you. Let me treat you like the queen you are. You don’t always have to be cold, at least to me; you can let your guard down around me. I want to see you for you, and not what you want others to see..." His hand came up to her face, caressing her jaw.
"I’ll never hurt you," he whispered, "Let me in, Green." His face leaned down, but he didn’t kiss her; if he did, her destination would be on top of the bed and not the bathroom.
"Lies..." Green’s low voice said, her brows creasing.
"Men are liars. You just want me beneath you so you’d lose your respect for me. I’m not losing myself to anyone. You all just want to collect women as trophies to fuel your egos," She said.
Sebastian frowned, "Bold of you to assume I respected you in the first place -"
"Get your hands off -"
"I’m kidding, princess, calm down... I’m kidding," Sebastian hugged her to himself, gently holding her head to his chest.
"I respect you Green, a lot. I mean, why wouldn’t I? You’re a force to reckon with. And, yes..." He released her so he could look at her face, "I do want you beneath me, right now, on your bed, but trust me, that’s not going to make me see you any less than I do; hell, it’s going to make me obsessed with you. I’d lose my mind if you let me, Green. I respect women, and I respect you. I can’t play around it anymore, I love you, Green, and I will never hurt you, I swear on my life," he confessed, his eyes bleeding out his unspoken emotions.
Green heart was pounding like a war drum, threatening to crack her ribs from how hard it pounded. She felt warm, so warm that she wanted to let her towel fall off and let Sebastian’s arms cool her rising temperature.
This time, she wasn’t reading Sebastian’s mind, she didn’t want to. She wanted to believe him for his words, to see his emotions through his warm brown eyes, to sense his need for her through his body.
She didn’t want to be the cold, unfeeling witch, for once, she wanted to be a woman in the arms of the man who wanted her.
"Say something, Green. I might look confident but deep down I fear your rejection. You don’t have to feel pressured, I will accept whatever you decide," Sebastian said in a calm but shaky voice.
"Then..." Green started, looking away from Sebastian as if she was shy to say her next words, "If you’d never hurt me, why did you... Take her?" She questioned, pinning him with a serious gaze.
Sebastian furrowed his brows, "Her?" He asked.
Green didn’t respond, she just kept staring at him, waiting for him to answer her. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Ah, damn... Ava?" He sighed, tilting her face up.
"I’m sorry. I really shouldn’t have," He apologized sincerely.
Green still didn’t respond.
"Come on, princess, I’m sorry. It’s just, you rejected my invite and I wanted to get your attention. But I was wrong, I made you believe that my feelings for you were fleeting; they’re not, they’re as grounded as the earth. I love you, Green, and I promise, it’s never happening again," He pleaded.
"You will let her know you are mine?" Green asked with a straight face.
Sebastian was paused, stumped; he opened and closed his mouth, too shocked to speak.
Green’s style of jealousy and possessiveness was doing things to him. He liked her directness, it was a huge turn-on for him.
He drew her in and buried his face in her neck, "Yes, Green, I will let her know I’m yours. Hell, I’ll let the whole world know that I’m yours, Green." He whispered against the skin of her neck.
Green wriggled, feeling ticklish from his breath, "It tickles," She bit her lips to hide her smile as she pushed him away from her.
Sebastian smirked, staring at her neck, "I can make you more ticklish, Green, the sensual kind of tickle." He said, his voice husky.
Green blushed, "We’re done talking, Sebastian. You can leave now. I want to shower," She folded her arms in front of her.
Sebastian looked sad, "Can I not leave, please?" He begged.
Green shook her head, "No. Go." She pointed to the door.
"Ouch, my heart feels like it’s shrinking, Green. You’re hurting me by asking me to leave," he sighed sadly.
"But, it’s okay; if that’s what you want, I’ll go," he pushed his hands into his pockets and walked toward the door.
Green watched with a bleeding heart; she didn’t want him to go, she wanted him to stay with her; she was just being awkward with the whole thing. She thought he would have insisted on staying with her, but why was he really leaving?
Just as Sebastian was about to hold the knob, Green stopped him.
"Wait..." She said quietly.
Sebastian turned and faced her, not taking a step forward.
"Yes, Green?" He answered calmly.
"Then, um..." Green fumbled for words, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
"What are we? I just said that you’re mine but you never called me yours. You don’t want me to be yours?" She questioned, using her hands to smooth her towel.
Sebastian chuckled softly, he was losing his mind over her, "You’re damn cute, Green. Of course, I want you to be mine, that’s why I’m here, to make you mine. And... I think I succeeded," He winked at her, loving the way she easily flushed.
"Then, I’m your... what? Girlfriend? Female? Mate?" She questioned, the last part coming as an unsure whisper.
Sebastian’s eyes glowed the moment he heard her say the word, ’mate.’
"Green, you’re asking me to leave. And you’re asking me these questions..." His gaze changed, becoming heated, darkened.
Green bit her lower lip, "Kiss me before you go." She said.
Sebastian shut his eyes, his body shaking with want. That night was the night his control was tested the most.
From the moment he closed Green’s door, he wanted to ravish her, but he controlled himself. Now, she was saying and acting so innocently yet provocatively, he didn’t think he could hold on any longer.
But he didn’t want to scare her, her emotions were still guarded.
It was just a kiss, he could do it.
He opened his eyes to find her staring at him with those eyes that told him that he was definitely going to lose his control tonight.
A step, and another, and another.
He stood in front of her, his hands still in his pockets.
"Green -"
"A goodnight kiss," She whispered, taking his hands out of his pockets and placing them around her waist.
Sebastian slowly nodded and pulled her closer, his hand coming up behind her neck as his face lowered towards hers.
Green saw his hesitation and tipped her toes to kiss him, a short peck on the lips.
Sebastian cursed under his breath, She’s gotten her kiss, he should go now.
"Goodnight, Green. I’ll see you in the morning," He wanted to step away but she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You’re scared," She stated, staring into his eyes.
"I’m not," He replied, his breath turning sharper.
"Then, why not kiss me?" Green asked, frowning slightly.
Sebastian’s arms tightened around her, "If I kiss you -"
"Kiss me," Green pressed her body into his, "Please."
A plea he could never refuse, with a simple tilt of his head, he captured her lips in a raw, hungry kiss, his insides erupting like a volcano as his every nerve burned for her.
His wet lips moulded with hers, tongue slowly slipping into her mouth to taste her.
"Mmn..." Green moaned, sucking on Sebastian’s tongue.
She started to move her hips against his and Sebastian suddenly withdrew his lips from hers.
"Green... I won’t leave if you keep doing that," He whispered breathlessly.
"Then don’t," Green stepped away from him and walked over to her bed.
Sebastian watched, feeling hot and breathless as Green let her towel fall to the floor.
"Fuck..." He gritted his teeth, looking down between his legs to see how outlined he’d become.
He wasn’t leaving tonight. No fucking way.
"Clothes off, Alpha. Come here," Green called from the bed.
She lay there, legs spread, eyes lusty as she stared at Sebastian.
Sebastian almost shot in his pants from that view; this was it, he was officially a slave, Green’s slave.
