"Shiiiit!"

Johanton said as he stared at the screen, his eyes narrowing at Adam as he hovered in the air like some kind of untouchable god.

The guy's aura was already off the charts, but now? Now he was channeling a massive torrent of Astrum.

Waves of weird energy our unknown Astrum from his perspective radiated outward, poured out of him in endless torrents.

Johanton leaned forward, while Daisy's dealing with queen.

"What the hell is he up to now?"

He muttered.

But before he could even guess, that was when it happened. A blinding light exploded across the feed, swallowing everything on the surface.

The entire planet lit up like a damn star, the glow so intense it bled through the screen's itself, forcing Johanton to squeeze his eyes shut and turn away.

"Shit!"

He yelped, his hand flying up to shield his face. Underground as they were, tucked away in this slimy cavern with the Queen slug...the light didn't hit them directly.

But the afterimage burned behind his eyelids, a searing white that made his head throb.

He blinked hard, forcing his eyes open after a few seconds. But when he open his eyes, he notice that the screen... it was gone.

Just poof out, and vanished into thin air, like it had never never been there.

"What the?...

Johanton waved his hand where the shimmering display had been, trying to conjure it back up with a flick of his Demonic Law.

But nothing came, or rather he couldn't even feel his power that was akin to a limb that felt like it always was.

His gut twisted at the sudden lack of power.

As he already had grown accustomed to it.

"Come on, you piece of crap. Work... WORKKK!"

He tried again, pouring more will into it, but it was like his abilities had hit a brick wall. Confused as hell, he shot to his feet, and shouting while looking at his hands.

"W-What the fuck is going on? Why can't I...

"AHHHHEEEEE!!"

A scream cut him off...high-pitched, terrified, and way too close. He whipped around, heart slamming in his chest, and there she was.

Daisy, scrambling back from a swarm of cryokinetic slugs. The things had turned on her, their icy bodies writhing and snapping at her heels.

"Daisy what the hell get them under control!"

He said to her but what Daisy said next horrified him even more.

"I-sob..I can't...

"What, no not you too... shit...

With no other choice, he had to knew he had to help her, but without his powers, easier said than done.

"Get away from her you bastard!"

But that wasn't the worst part.

After shouting he looked, at Daisy, and finally realized the phsycial change.

Her outfit.... It was gone...the dark purple tunic and skirt, even her cute looking eyes, all of it was gone.

Instead, she was in... her old school uniform? The plain blouse and plaid skirt from back home, from their world before all this cult bullshit.

She looked smaller, more fragile, like the girl he remembered from class, not the twisted powerhouse she had become since entering this world.

His powers weren't working...none of their Demonic Law was responding. Panic surged through him, but instinct kicked in.

Spotting a jagged crystal shard on the cavern floor, glinting in the red glow of the stones, he snatched it up without thinking. It was sharp as a knife, cold against his palm. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Hang on!"

He charged in, leaping over a low rock, and drove the crystal straight into the nearest slug's slimy hide.

The thing screeched, icy fluid spraying out as it convulsed. But another one pounced from the side, slamming into him like a frozen boulder.

The impact knocked the wind out of him, sending him flying back into the cavern wall with a sickening crack.

THUDDD!!

"Aaaargh!"

He screamed in pain, as the pain exploded through his side, sharp, and wet, like something had torn open.

He slid down the wall, clutching at his ribs, feeling warm blood seep through his fingers. A rib must've snapped, or worse. But then... he couldn't breathe.

His lungs seized up, the air turning razor-cold in his throat. Frost crept over his fingertips, numbing them, turning them blue.

The planet's brutal conditions, the freezing temps, the thin or rather the immense exposure to oxygen became a dead poison for him, for a first time since his arrival his own mortality was all hitting him at once, like a switch had flipped.

"What... the hell... is happening?"

He gasped, his vision blurring.

They weren't supposed to feel this shit; their enhancements, the cult's gifts, kept it at bay. But now? Now he was just... human again? Weak, exposed, dying in this frozen hellhole.

And Daisy... oh god, Daisy.

She was screaming, thrashing as the slugs piled on. One latched onto her leg, its mandibles sinking in with a wet crunch, tearing through the fabric of her skirt and into flesh.

Blood sprayed, freezing mid-air into crimson shards. Another clamped down on her arm, ripping a chunk free, muscle and skin peeling away in grisly strips, exposing bone that glistened with frost.

She clawed at them, her nails breaking, but they just kept coming, devouring her alive.

"Johnny! Help...aaah!"

A slug burrowed into her side, its body pulsing as it chewed inward, organs spilling out in a steaming mess against the cold ground.

Her cries turned gurgling, blood bubbling from her lips as she collapsed, the swarm covering her like a living blanket, ripping and freezing in equal measure. Johanton wanted to puke, to scream, but he could barely move.

Then, a ripple in the air, a portal tearing open with a whoosh of displaced Space Astrum. Out stepped... something he did not know what.

It looked like a kid, maybe six years old, but twisted, skeletal, like a monster made of bone and dense flesh, and exposed veins.

Johanton's blood ran colder than the slugs. He trembled, horror rooting him in place. This had to be a dream, a bad dream.

That was what he said to convince himself of the reality. But he knew it was all Adam's doing... Whatever that light was, it had done this to all of them.

They were back to their original selves, fragile humans from their old world, no match for this planet's killer environment.

His vision swam; black spots danced at the edges. They were dying..suffocating, freezing, bleeding out.

But before the darkness could claim them, the bone-like figure spoke, its voice calm, almost bored.

"You're not dying the way you want kid."

With a snap of it's tiny fingers, and green magic circles bloomed in the air, it was filled with Air Astrum, and Invisible air rods came firing out, as compressed air, sharp as spears, shot out faster than the human eye can track impaling the slugs in a frenzy. One by one, they exploded in bursts of icy goo, their bodies shredded faster than Johanton could blink.

The cavern fell silent, save for Daisy's weak whimpers.

The figure strolled over to her, stepping through the mess like it was nothing. She was half-eaten, her lower body a mangled ruin, guts trailing out, face twisted in agony.

"P-Please... don't... I don't wanna die...he~lp me!"

She sobbed, tears freezing on her cheeks.

"Don't worry, I will free you from your pain."

Adam said raising his foot over her head and Daisy eyes followed it as she weakly said.

"N~no...

STOMPP!!

But her please went on deaf ears, as his small foot came down on her head with a crunch, caving it in like a rotten melon. Brains and blood splattered, her body twitching once before going still.

Johanton choked on a scream, horror and rage boiling up. Her soul, though he couldn't see it, but the same could not be said for Adam, he saw it clearly.

As such he reached out, snatching at the air, grabbing it as he cast <Dream of the Damned> A dark vortex swirled in his palm, pulling whatever essence was left into his own nightmarish twisted afterlife construct within his dreams.

Without a word, Adam turned to Johanton, raising his hands. An evil-looking magic circle flared to life, dark tendrils coiling around a green one prepping another air rod.

While using Dream of the Damned to quickly take his soul too after killing him.

It was aimed right at his head, clearly meant to blow it clean off.

Johanton knew this was the end, and he could barley move either.

Trembling in fear, Johanton backed against the wall, his side throbbing, breath shallow.

"No... I don't wanna die... please..."

But I'm that moment.

A voice suddenly echoed in his head, smooth, amused, and feminine, but it should more like the voice of a little girl.

'What a fucked-up situation, huh?'

"V-Vileth...

He whispered, his eyes widening.

'Without your consent, sweetie, I'm taking the wheel now.'

Without saying anything else, Vileth took possession of Johanton, causing his body to jerked, power flooding back in a rush of demonic energy.

Adam fired the air rod, the invisible projectile whistling toward him. But Johanton, or what was left of him, was gone in a blur.

Adam's eyes widened for a fraction, then pain lanced through his right side. He glanced down...and was suprise to see that his arm was gone, ripped clean off at the shoulder, blood spraying in an arc.

Bone and muscle dangled from the stump, the wound cauterized by some unholy force.

Meanwhile just behind him, Johanton's voice rang out, but twisted, echoing with Vileth's own voice behind it.

"How annoying. Time and time again, Adam Van Hellsing, you get in my way."

The cavern trembled, the Queen's mass stirring as the possession took hold. Johanton's body hovered now, eyes glowing with godly power, his school uniform shredded but irrelevant.

Vileth's presence warped the air, shadows lengthening into claws around his hands. Adam clutched his stump, regenerating slowly.

"What is this?!"

He questioned loss as to what the hell happened.

Vileth-in-Johanton laughed at his confusion.

"Oh, darling, you have no idea the fun we're about to have. My little stars might be dimmed, but you will find that I am much brighter."

But at the same time, Freya voice echoed in his head.

[Master you got to run now... That boy, he is being posses by a Demonic Goddess]

"W-What?!"
