HDXD: Omni Harem System-Chapter 270: Entering The Tower
The sleek black car came to a sudden stop, its engine humming softly in the neon-lit heart of Sector-C, central business area.
Located downtown, well part of it atleast, as the downtown is mostly locked down due to some part of it being infested with demons.
That aside though, the parts that are not, are mostly open up for business.
The city's skyline loomed like a forest of steel poles, each skyscraper high and large but different in design.
But that aside Adam and Priscilla driver, Glirsan, emerged from the driver's seat after parking to the side, his pale skin and crimson hair blowing in the cold night air.
From there he opened the car door with a silent bow, his red eyes glinting briefly as he murmured.
"Lady Arbiter, Lord Adam!?"
Adam stepped out first, his tailored black suit crisp against the night, his crimson tie like a slash of blood against his chest.
His golden eyes then lifted to the towering structure before them, the Tower as Priscilla called it, was basically just a skyscraper that pierced the sky like a blade, its glass facade shimmering with reflections of the city's chaos below.
Adam scratched the back of his head, a wry sigh escaping his lips as he muttered to himself. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"Of course a place like this is in my family Sector."
The irony wasn't lost on him. This was his home turf, the beating heart of the Van Hellsing family's influence, and also a place where his enemies seemed to breed like roaches.
The Cult of the New Order, demonic incursions, and now this, a vampire haven right under his nose.
'All my problems are parked in my backyard.'
He thought, his pulse quickening with a mix of amusement and unease.
'I hope this Tower doesn't turn into another headache.'
Was the last thing he said to himself.
As he glanced at Priscilla, her petite form radiating confidence despite her childlike frame, and decided to trust her lead. If anyone could navigate this nest of vipers, it was her.
Priscilla stepped out next, her gothic gown of black lace and velvet swirling around her.
Now outside she extended a small hand to Adam, her ruby eyes glinting under the night moon.
"Come on, brat."
She said, her voice sharp but clearly playful in this moment.
"Don't just stand there looking like a lost puppy. Act like a gentleman for once."
Adam's lips twitched into a grin, and he played along, taking her hand with a mock bow, his polished boots clicking on the pavement.
"As you wish, Lady Arbiter."
He teased, his golden eyes sparkling with mischief. Her touch was cool but firm, grounding him in the moment as they stepped away from the car, Glirsan melting back into the shadows like a wraith.
For now his task was done after all, still he has several other esteem guess he needs to go and pick up before twelfth hour of the night.
So as Glirsan made himself scarce as he drive off into the night once more.
Meanwhile Priscilla reached into a small velvet purse slung at her side, pulling out two masks that gleamed faintly under the street lantern's glow.
Ada''s brow arched as he pointed at them.
"Masquerade masks?"
He asked, his voice brimming with curiosity.
"We're really leaning into the whole vampire drama, huh?"
She huffed, her cheeks flushing crimson as she thrust one toward him.
"Tch, don't be an idiot."
She snapped, her tsundere attitude as sharp as ever.
"For it is tradition, secondly it is mandatory for gatherings like this. Even with masks, vampires can sniff out those they know personally, our senses are too sharp for tricks as simple as these. But there is always newbies, sired fledglings who don't know the rules, or worse, hunters sneaking in to cause trouble. You keep this on at all times, got it? No exceptions. This will hide your face and identity for the most part."
Her ruby eyes narrowed, daring him to argue, but the way her fingers fidgeted with her own mask betrayed her nerves.
Adam took the mask, turning it over in his hands. It was a sleek, black in design, its edges carved with intricate patterns.
Not wanting to argue, he put it on his face.
And the mask covered the upper half of his face, leaving his jaw and lips exposed, its surface cool and smooth like polished stone.
Two slits framed his golden eyes, giving them a predatory glint, and a single crimson gem sat at the center of the forehead, mirroring the one at Priscilla's throat.
"Fancy."
He murmured, as the mask fit perfectly, as if crafted for him alone.
He then glanced at Priscilla, who was securing her own mask, a delicate silver piece that curved like crescent moons around her eyes, adorned with tiny black pearls that shimmered like stars. It accentuated her childlike beauty while amplifying the fierce elegance of her presence, her ruby eyes glowing through the slits like twin embers.
With their masks in place, the couple then turned to face the Tower, its glass spire stretching into the night.
Up close, it looked deceptively ordinary, a human hotel and casino, its neon signs flashing to promote, the wealthy seeking pleasure and drinks usually come here.
Priscilla then grabbed his hand again, her small fingers lacing through his with subtle firmness.
"Let's go, brat."
She said, her voice softer now, almost protective.
"Oh, by the way boy, if it isn't obvious, then I will say it again so you understand. Stay close, and don't do anything stupid."
"I am not a child you know."
Adam retorted back to Priscilla.
From there they stepped forward into the building, the Tower's glass doors sliding open as they enter, revealing a lobby full with marble floors, gold-trimmed columns, and a massive chandelier that glittered like a frozen galaxy.
Bellhops in crisp uniforms bustled about, their smiles perfect as they where professional, their eyes too vacant, as if they were ghouls or thralls playing their parts.
Adam's brow furrowed, his golden eyes scanning the space from every nook, and cranny she could personally behold.
"This place looks… normal."
He said, his voice low, a hint of suspicion creeping in.
"Where is all the vampire stuff?"
Adam whispered to Priscilla, trying not to be loud.
Priscilla's lips twitched, a faint smirk breaking through her tsundere facade.
"Tch, you really are clueless sometimes, aren't you boy."
She said, leading him toward a discreet elevator tucked behind a velvet curtain.
"The banquet is happening underground, on the lowest floor. This?...
She gestured at the lobby, its human patrons laughing and clinking glasses at the bar.
"Is merley just a front. The Tower in of itself is a hotel and casino for humans, cover to keep the humans happy and clueless, and as a prop to hide amongst them. Everything vampire-related happens below, to entire place was made with the intentions of being hidden in plain sight."
Adam's eyes widened, a surprised laugh escaping him.
"An underground vampire party? Seriously? Why the hell is there an underground level in a casino?"
She rolled her eyes, pressing a hidden panel beside the elevator, which opened with a soft hum, revealing a sleek interior that was black and crimson.
"Because, idiot."
She said, her voice dripping with mock exasperation.
"Humans love their shiny distractions. Let them gamble and drink upstairs while we handle the real business below. It is safer that way, no one asks questions when the money is flowing."
She stepped inside, pulling him along, her hand still clasped in his. The elevator doors closed, and with a faint lurch, they began their descent, the air growing heavier, tinged with the faint scent of blood and and Adam could indeed feel multiple different monster energy signature from way below.
Adam leaned against the wall, his masked face reflecting faintly in the polished obsidian.
"Well, I am here with you for our date, and that is all that really matter to me either way."
He said, his voice casual but probing.
"But to think this place is really where all the big vampire of the Human World deals go down? And you're, what, the queen bee down there?"
Priscilla huffed, crossing her arms, her silver mask glinting as she tilted her head.
"Tch, don't get ahead of yourself, brat."
She said, but her ruby eyes sparkled with pride.
"I am an Arbiter, not a queen. I keep the peace, make sure no one fangs get too deep into someone else's throat. But yeah, the Court's where it all happens, alliances, betrayals, blood pacts. And tonight, you're meeting someone who has been waiting for you. So don't screw it up."
"Yeah, yeah.... Let's just go already."
From there she pressed the required button's to reach their destination as the elevator began to move downwards.
As they start to sink lower, and lower below at the bottom.
Adam at that moment began to fixed his tie, and as they enter down below he sense a really powerful monster energy source below.
And the he heard Freya voice.
