HDXD: Omni Harem System-Chapter 269: Start of The Date Night
The night draped New Hera like a falling cloak over its residency, the sight of the city lights and noise from night time echoed evenly throughout from the hillside the academy is made on.
Within Adam's mansion its spires piercing the sky, its glass walls reflecting the moon's pale glow.
Inside, the grand foyer Adam adjusted the cuffs of his tailored black suit, its fabric clinging to his broad shoulders, as he fix his crimson color tie around his neck.
His golden eyes, sharp and restless, scanned his reflection in a gilded mirror.
Across the room, Priscilla emerged from the dark evening hallway, and when Adam turned to meet her glare, it was a vision that stole his breath.
"Wowwww!"
That was the only words that left his mouth in that moment as he look her up, and then down utterly enthralled by the sight before him.
Her petite frame was draped in a gothic gown of black lace and velvet, its detail patterns swirling like ancient runes, hugging her childlike form yet accentuating the fierce elegance of her presence.
Her blonde drill ponytails were pinned up, a single curl escaping to frame her face, and her ruby eyes gleamed with nervous anticipation.
A silver choker, studded with a blood-red gem, adorned her throat, pulsing faintly with Astrum magic, it was clear it was magic item or some sort.
She caught his stare and huffed, crossing her arms, her cheeks flushing crimson.
"Tch, stop gawking, you idiot."
She snapped, at the startled Adam, although her own glances could not keep off him at all.
"You clean up nice for once, so don't ruin it by acting like a pervert."
Adam grinned, his heart thudding with crystal clear amusement. As he looked at her and said as such.
"You're one to talk, Pris."
He teased, stepping closer, his polished boots clicking against the marble floors.
"That dress is gonna make a lot of heads turn tonight. You sure you're ready for all the upcoming attention?"
His voice was warm, playful, but his eyes held hers, searching for the woman behind the mask that was her petite form.
The date in a way had already begun in the bathhouse's steam, a fragile moment of connection as Priscilla's hands traced his back, her touch a bridge between their shared past and the uncertain future.
They then parted to get ready for the night after her vow to plan Vileth's demise, as the ensure that the future Adam had seen did not come to past.
Destroying the possibility of any Dark Spawns, omni-genocide, the red Moon, the demon invasion, basically everything the future had in store for the.
Now, properly dressed for the night they were ready to step into the night, and properly enjoy themselves.
Priscilla's lips twitched, a faint smile breaking through her scowl.
"Hmph, don't flatter yourself boy."
She muttered, turning away to hide her blush, her gown swishing as she moved toward the foyer's grand staircase.
"This isn't about attention. We or rather I am going to be taking you somewhere… important. People you need to meet. So don't screw it up, brat... Still let's enjoy our night together, and make the most out of it."
Her voice was sharp, but the way her fingers fidgeted with the gem at her throat betrayed her nerves, a break in her tsundere armor that made Adam's chest ache.
'...When she is not be tsun-tsun she is kind of cute, well she is already cute, but just way more cuter than normal.'
Adam said to himself.
Right after he followed her down the stairs, the mansion's eerie silence broken only by the echo of their steps.
Kira and Nyla were still out, likely entangled in their own schemes or clubs, leaving the mansion to feel like a stage set for a drama only Adam and Priscilla could play.
Outside, the night was alive with various events all happening at once despite the multiple terrorist attacks caused by the Cult of The New Order, and the many randomized demonic invasions.
The campus of New Hera High lay quiet, its students long since retreated to their dorms, but the city beyond overflow with hidden secrets of the supernatural for sure.
Adam was well aware that vampires, demons, and monsters cloaked in human guise roams these city streets as well.
But that aside, Adam and Priscilla stepped outside to see a black car in the distance, seeing this Adam said.
"I know you said someone would pick us up, but you never said it was another vampire."
"Well you never asked, beside where we are going, it is a place that is filled only with other vampires."
Priscilla made this clear.
"Ahhh, I see...
Adam replied, as she pulled him by the hand and into the sleek black car, its engine purring, currently it was being driven by a pale skin man, red hair, and sharp fangs, dress in unfirom.
"Greetings Lady Arbiter."
"Arbiter."
Adam said as he looked at Priscilla who merley said to the driver.
"Greeting as well, Glirsan, you know where to take use."
"As you my lady."
With that Gilrsan started to drive off leaving only Priscilla and Adam as he asked her.
"So why did he call you an Arbiter!?"
"Hmmm...
Priscilla groaned her hands folded as she began to speak.
"I may have committed the horrific sin of dioblory, however the Arbitration is vastly different from the ones back in home world. In the Human World Arbitration is Anti-Cainite."
"Anti-Cainite?...
Said Adam a little baffled by Priscilla words, who then began to explain.
"Basically they don't respect the Vampire king as the Monster Lord of The Body. As such to escape his rule, vampire migrate over to the human world instead and live in secrets. Making the Vampires of the Human World a different Political party from the ones in the Monster World. As things may have, I am apart of the council here in the Human World making me one of the most influential vampire among the ranks, also I am.the strongest vampire in the council right now as well."
"Ahh, I see... Make sense."
Adam replied back, as the city streets unfolded before them, a labyrinth of neon, steel, and stone.
Priscilla then try to sit closer beside him, her small hands folded in her lap, her ruby eyes fixed on the window as if searching for something beyond the glass.
And Adam then asked.
"By the way sis, where are we even going."
Priscilla look at him, and replied back by saying.
"This place we're going."
She said, her voice low, almost reverent.
"It's not just a hangout."
She said, her voice cutting through the silence, calm but firm.
"It's a haven. A neutral ground for our kind, vampires, turned monsters, even humans who've seen too much of what hides in the dark."
"Those that use hunt us, too. All of them under one roof, bound by the Temple's rules."
"You've heard of it, haven't you? I like to think Nyx's family did well to educate you."
Adam leaned his head back, the faint hum of the tires screeching on the asphalt beneath them.
"Yeah, I've heard about it alright."
He said, his voice was steady in that moment, but edged with curiosity.
"But the things I know are limited. Just rumors, really. I've heard it is a place where the big players in vampiric society meet. Where deals are struck, debts collected, where war between factions gets avoided, or started. Depends on the night, if I'm being honest."
Priscilla gave a small nod, arms folding across her chest again, her ponytails swaying with the motion of the car.
"A limited response for sure."
She said lightly, though a small smile ghosted over her lips.
"But that pretty much sums up the basics of the Temple."
Her gaze shifted toward him then, softer now, almost proud, as she present to him a cute smile, and for but a moment, Adam momentarily forget how dangerous she really was.
"It is good that you're at least keeping up with your studies, brat."
"That aside, someone there also wants to meet you. They say they've known who you are since before you were even a child in our stables. At first, I thought they were lying. But then…
Her voice trailed off. She looked out the window briefly, as if searching for the right words.
"Then they used your real name. That is when I realized, they had been telling the truth the entire time."
Adam's brow furrowed, his pulse ticking faster in his throat.
"Wait...really?"
He asked, his voice a mix of disbelief and excitement. He leaned forward, his reflection flickering across the tinted glass like a shadow trying to escape itself.
"Yes, really."
Priscilla replied.
Her tone didn't waver, but her fingers tapped once against her thigh, an old habit she had when something bothered her.
"I have no reason to lie to you, boy. I figured this would be a good time for our little date, but also a good opportunity for you to meet him."
"Who am I meeting, really?"
Adam asked, the tension sharpening his voice now.
Priscilla sighed, her crimson eyes catching the dim light of the cities passing lights.
"That boy... Would be your mother's brother."
