Chapter 150: Chapter 150: Their Relationship Isn’t Clean

Felix Finch sneered as he got into his car.

He slammed on the gas and sped away.

Felix Finch had gone completely mad. Theodore Grant felt as if he were seeing a reflection of his former self from years ago.

Just as frenzied.

’Did something happen today?’

Looking back, he glanced at the courtyard, then turned and went back into the living room.

Momo was frightened by the ordeal and had fallen into a groggy sleep.

Natalie Morgan was still trying to soothe her.

’What happened today was certainly strange.’

’Why would someone suddenly try to snatch my child? There were police officers on duty right at the kindergarten gate. It was the worst place to attempt a kidnapping.’

’And why did Felix Finch just happen to be there?’

’Also, the woman in that car... was that really Wanda Lynch?’

’None of it made any sense. It was completely illogical, with no rhyme or reason.’

’If it really was Wanda Lynch, then could this kidnapping be connected to Theodore Grant?’

’But why would he kidnap my child?’

’It can’t be him.’

KNOCK KNOCK.

A knock came at the door.

Natalie Morgan pulled herself from her thoughts. She glanced at the soundly sleeping child in her arms, gently laid her down, and then got up to open the door.

Theodore Grant was standing in the doorway.

She stepped out of the bedroom, closing the door behind her. "Is something wrong?"

"What happened?"

She pursed her lips but didn’t hide it from him. "Today, when I was taking Momo to kindergarten, someone tried to snatch her. There was... an incident."

"Snatch her?" The man was stunned, but then he understood. "And Felix Finch showed up just in time to get her back for you?"

Natalie Morgan was surprised by Theodore Grant’s sharp insight into the event.

’He really is exceptionally clever.’

"Yes."

"Hah." ’He’s quite the actor.’

He chuckled and shook his head.

"Are you overwhelmed with gratitude for your precious senior now?"

Natalie Morgan couldn’t tell if Theodore Grant was mocking her or something else.

Her eyes turned cold as she replied, "This has nothing to do with you."

"This child certainly has nothing to do with me. But I need to remind you that everything Felix Finch is doing right now has a motive. You’d better watch your back and not let yourself be played for a fool."

’If he thinks I’m stupid and idiotic, he should just say it directly.’

’What’s the point of insulting me indirectly like this?’

"I may not be as smart as you, Mr. Grant, but I’m not as stupid as a pig. If anyone dares to harm my child, I’ll fight them to the death. And that includes you."

"Me?" Theodore Grant’s eyebrow twitched. He found it laughable.

’She suspects me of everything.’

’It’s a natural-born prejudice.’

"Natalie Morgan, I’m quite curious. What have I ever done to make you think I would kidnap your child?"

"Did I say I suspected you?" she retorted, raising an eyebrow.

"Then what did you mean by ’that includes you’? If you want to fight the person who harmed your child to the death, then memorize the license plate of the kidnappers’ car. Go ask your beloved senior why he just happened to show up and play the hero, instead of casting suspicion on someone completely irrelevant."

For the first time, Natalie Morgan was rendered speechless by his comeback.

With a huff, she headed downstairs.

The man stood there for a moment, fuming, before following her downstairs.

"The child was frightened. You should stay home with her. Don’t go to the office for now."

With that, he prepared to leave for his company.

Natalie Morgan slowly lifted her gaze to the man before her and suddenly murmured, "Is Wanda Lynch really dead?"

The man’s footsteps stopped abruptly.

He turned his head, his dark eyes narrowing slightly. "What do you mean?"

Natalie Morgan took a deep breath.

"In the kidnappers’ car today, I saw someone who looked exactly like Wanda Lynch. Weller Kendall told me Wanda Lynch was dead. Is she really dead?"

’Back then, Theodore Grant had ordered Weller Kendall to dispose of both Noelle Bell and Wanda Lynch.’

’Did he not do a clean job?’

"Are you sure that person was Wanda Lynch?"

Natalie Morgan shook her head. She wasn’t sure. The windows were tinted, so she couldn’t see clearly. "I only saw her side profile. It looked just like her."

"So, because you saw Wanda Lynch, you suspect I was behind this?" ’The logic isn’t hard to follow.’

Natalie Morgan’s eyes darkened. Without looking at him or confirming his suspicion, she said, "I don’t suspect you. You have no motive. But if Wanda Lynch isn’t dead, it’s possible she came back to get revenge on me."

The man’s dark eyes grew dim.

’If Wanda Lynch is really alive, the first thing I’ll do is take care of that woman.’

"I’ll have Weller Kendall look into it."

Upon receiving the news, Weller Kendall was stunned for a long moment before asking Theodore Grant uncertainly, "Mr. Grant, you’re saying Wanda Lynch might still be alive? But... I shot her right in the heart. Even if one shot didn’t kill her, I threw her into the open sea. She would have drowned. How could she possibly be alive?"

"You can’t even figure out something this simple?"

He was growing increasingly exasperated with Weller Kendall’s slowness.

’This guy’s been so dense lately, I’m starting to wonder if he’s in love.’

Weller Kendall frowned deeply and nodded. "I don’t really get it."

"Someone must have saved her. You leave, and someone comes to the rescue right after. Of course she wouldn’t die."

Weller Kendall scratched his head again, completely baffled. "But who would save her? She has no one to rely on—no family, no friends..."

"It was Felix Finch."

Besides him, no one else would have saved Wanda Lynch.

Felix Finch and Wanda Lynch knew each other well before she ever met him.

’Felix Finch must have had a use for Wanda Lynch to have saved her.’

"Weller, go find out what kind of shady business Wanda Lynch has been doing for Felix Finch since he rescued her."

"Yes, sir."

Weller Kendall was about to turn and leave when Theodore Grant stopped him again. "After you’re done investigating, bring her to me."

"Understood."

「On Friday.」

Weller Kendall came to see Theodore Grant with the information he had gathered.

"Mr. Grant, the relationship between Felix Finch and Wanda Lynch... isn’t exactly clean."

Theodore Grant lowered his brow slightly. "How so?"

"Before Wanda Lynch met you, she’d actually been in an illicit relationship with Felix Finch for years. Back when Miss Rose Yeats jumped from that building while she was pregnant, Wanda Lynch was downstairs. I suspect she had something to do with it."

Wanda Lynch must have been one of Felix Finch’s pawns.

Weller Kendall’s investigation this time had been very thorough.

"Felix Finch secured many of the Finch Group’s projects, and plenty of them involved trading sex for favors. Don’t be fooled by Wanda Lynch’s limp and poor health—she’s very skilled in that department and has likely been a great help to him."

"Later, Felix Finch had Wanda Lynch impersonate the madam to get close to you. During those years she posed as your idealized love, the two of them still fooled around often. Felix Finch was always her sugar daddy, and she was nothing more than his dog."

"After Felix Finch rescued her from the open sea, he stashed her at The Pink Pavilion to work as a madam, living under an alias. Whenever there was an important client, he’d have her entertain them, and she didn’t dare refuse."

"This recent kidnapping of the madam’s child was likely orchestrated by Felix Finch as well."

Felix Finch wanted to play the hero to regain his importance and Natalie Morgan’s trust.

But clearly, Natalie Morgan was already suspicious of him.

What Weller Kendall could figure out, Theodore Grant could figure out as well.

"Where is she?" The man’s voice was laced with cruelty.

"I brought her."

A moment later, Weller Kendall dragged Wanda Lynch into Theodore Grant’s office as if she were a dead dog.

Wanda Lynch had become much more gaunt over the past three years.

She seemed even more timid now.

She was trembling like a leaf out of fear.

Theodore Grant loosened the tie from his collar, snapped it taut in his hands a couple of times, and slowly walked over to Wanda Lynch.

"Long time no see, Miss Lynch."
