He who Bends Time-Chapter 69 - a romantic day
Chapter 69: Chapter 69 - a romantic day
With his life on the line, Nimuk ran faster than ever—if he had to guess, this might have been the fastest he’d ever run, even compared to the time he escaped federal prison in the Malv Flower World.
Looking back, he saw a group of women chasing him, screaming and smiling at him.
"Creepy," thought Nimuk, disturbed by their abnormal behavior.
But the fact remained—he couldn’t stop. If he tripped or hesitated even once, he would eventually get caught.
"I have to hide somewhere," he thought, when suddenly, he heard a voice.
"This way—come!"
It was another woman, but this one was older. She had opened the door to a closed house on a side street and was calling out to Nimuk.
Although it was a strange situation, Nimuk didn’t hesitate. One woman he could handle—it was the group of them that terrified him.
Taking the turn sharply, he vanished from the other women’s view, jumped off the street, and ran straight through the open door without looking back. As soon as he entered, the older woman quickly shut the door behind him.
"Thanks for saving me. I don’t know what’s gotten into those women," said Nimuk, sighing and breathing heavily from exhaustion.
"No problem," the woman replied. Her tone was calm—like someone wise, with responsibility and maturity.
"It’s really weird that they suddenly started following me like I’m some kind of celebrity," Nimuk muttered, lifting his head with a grateful smile.
But he suddenly froze upon seeing the woman.
"Ugh... where are your clothes?!" he asked, stunned—because the woman was hurriedly taking off all her clothes.
"We can’t do it with clothes on, young boy. So hurry up and take off your pants too," she said with a disturbingly cheerful tone.
"Ooo..."
Nimuk took a step back, realizing how utterly foolish he had been to think this woman was different.
Huh!
As he stepped back, he bumped into a table, and on it was a plate of food.
The woman had already stripped down to just her underwear and was eyeing Nimuk like a predator, her expression wild, just before she lunged at him like a beast.
"Let’s make lots of love, my handsome little fellow!" she exclaimed.
But Nimuk, acting quickly, grabbed the food plate from the table and slammed it across the woman’s face.
BAM!
The plate shattered on impact. The woman was thrown backward, crashing into the wall, and then slumped down—showing no movement afterward.
"Phew! I thought she really died..." Nimuk muttered after checking and confirming she was still breathing—just unconscious.
"Did I just hear her say I’m handsome?"
That random comment kept lingering in Nimuk’s mind, and after looking around, he finally found a mirror.
"What the... Who is this?"
Staring into the mirror, he was dumbfounded by his own appearance.
It was the image of an extremely handsome man.
His skin was fair—like radiant clouds drifting across the sky—and his eyes resembled the deep blue sea, mysterious and alluring.
Beyond that, his entire figure looked like the ideal form any woman would dream of.
All in all, the charm this form possessed was indescribable with mere words.
"I must have fallen into a hallucination after being humiliated for so long..."
After seeing such an unbelievable reflection, Nimuk could only come to that conclusion.
And with that, he forced himself to accept his own explanation.
"Hmm, I do feel... strange. More like a bit powerful. Did I break through to the Forge Stage because of my strong desires? Could... could it be that these changes are the result of that?"
A few reasonable ideas also surfaced in Nimuk’s mind at that moment.
Tak! Tak!
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door of the house, startling Nimuk.
"Honey, it’s me. Open the door," came the voice of a man from the other side.
"She’s married?!" Nimuk exclaimed, glancing at the older woman lying unconscious on the floor.
"And she still tried to do that? How shitty."
"Honey, I’m coming in," the man’s voice came again from outside.
Inside the house, Nimuk started to panic. He ran left and right, trying to think of a way to resolve the situation—only to get tangled in the older woman’s discarded clothes and fall down.
Clink!
Using his own key, the middle-aged man unlocked the door and stepped inside.
"Oh, it’s dark in here. Is the light crystal not working?" he muttered as he entered, then flicked a switch that instantly brightened the interior.
"Ah, there you are. Didn’t you hear me calling?" freēnovelkiss.com
He spotted his wife sitting in the corner of the room, but didn’t see her face, as she had a veil over it.
"What are you all dressed up for? Even put on a veil?" he asked curiously.
"Oh, I was just about to go outside for a bit," she replied calmly.
"There’s a pervert outside, so don’t go now," the man said bluntly.
"Hmph, maybe I should go outside. At least that pervert would care about me if he sees me—unlike a certain someone who doesn’t care about me anymore," the woman sighed, speaking in a nagging tone.
"Your voice is so charming today... but it sounds slightly like a man..." the husband said, narrowing his eyes briefly before brushing it off.
"You know what? I think you’re right. Because of work, I’ve been ignoring you lately. How about we spend some time together today?"
He stepped closer, trying to embrace her, but the "woman" took a step back, saying,
"Hmph! Everything has to be dirty with you. Why can’t you ever do something I actually like?"
"Ugh, okay, okay! Let’s do something you like then. But I will get what I want after that, right?" the man smirked.
"We’ll see," replied the woman.
Just then, a light breeze blew through the room from the open door, and the veil covering the "woman’s" face lifted slightly—revealing Nimuk’s face for a moment. Luckily, he was turned away from the man, who didn’t catch a clear look. At the same time, Nimuk subtly pushed the unconscious real woman’s body further under the bed with his foot.
"So, what do you want to do?" the husband asked.
"I want to take a walk... Oh! Do you remember that place you said I could go to—the Blessing Crystal?"
"I don’t remember saying you that but if you want we can pay to the Guide Wind to take you there? But only to the entrance becus onky the owner coud go pass that"
"Ah yes, that one! I want to see it. Can you take me there, honey?"
"All right. I said I’d do what you like, and I’ll keep that promise. But do you really need to wear that veil even inside the house?
On second thoughts, keep that thing on our ride. I don’t want anyone to see your beautiful face, specially to that perverted baster everyone talking about"
’Did he actually buy that? That’s unexpected. What kind of man can’t recognize his own wife? But who cares—as long as I get out of here.’
Dressed in the woman’s clothes, Nimuk thought to himself.
And just like that—with his face fully wrapped, his posture altered, and his voice strained to sound feminine—Nimuk and the unsuspecting husband went out together on what could only be called a very awkward romantic date.
