Healing a Fallen S-Rank Beastman: Everyone Fights Over the Little Female-Chapter 67: Jigsaw Puzzle
Hans, along with everyone at the S-Class Shelter, eagerly awaited Lu Xiao’s next visit.
Early Monday morning, Hans arrived at the S-Class Shelter ahead of schedule. He first went to check on things. Over the past week, following Lu Xiao’s instructions, they had provided Dean with a private room, removed the restraints from his body, and carefully inquired about his preferences, doing their best to meet his every need.
Perhaps this approach was working, because Dean hadn’t had any violent outbursts all week. The instruments constantly monitoring the risk assessment value of his Spirit Sea showed that it had remained in a stable state.
Although his lower body was still in its Beastman form, this condition was considered excellent for a Mid-Advanced S-Class male.
During this time, besides eating his daily meals, Dean had been assembling various mecha and starship models. He even completed a 3,000-piece puzzle.
No one had expected the guy to have such a hobby.
Although the method seemed effective in the short term, Hans still couldn’t relax.
After all, a Mid-Advanced S-Class male was like a ticking time bomb, ready to go off at any moment.
Perhaps the current peace was merely the calm before the storm.
After checking on Dean, Hans ordered his officers to prepare for escorting Dean to see Lu Xiao.
However, Lu Xiao didn’t come alone this time. She brought four other therapists from the Fifth Research Institute with her.
When Hans heard that they would all be participating in Dean’s Spiritual Soothing today, he was overjoyed.
Teacher Ai Li saw him trying to suppress a smile and rolled her eyes. "If you want to smile, just smile. Why are you holding it in?"
Hans raised a hand to cover his lips and quickly shook his head. "No, not at all. You all will be working hard soon, why would I be smiling? You’ve had a long trip, would you like to rest for a bit?"
Lu Xiao looked at the four teachers. In truth, they weren’t tired at all from the ride over.
As expected, Teacher Ai Li shook her head. "Rest? What for? The sooner we start, the sooner we finish. Let’s go now. Take us there."
On the way, Lu Xiao reviewed Dean’s monitoring reports for the past week.
The reports showed that Dean’s condition had been stable all week, neither improving nor declining.
"Has his body returned to normal?"
"I just went to see him. Not yet."
Lu Xiao wasn’t surprised to hear this. After all, Dean wasn’t like her previous patients. His Spirit Sea’s risk assessment value was Mid-Advanced; it would be wonderful if he were that easy to cure.
Lu Xiao said no more. She already had a clear picture of the situation.
When they arrived at the monitoring room where Dean had been treated last time, he was already lying on the bed, still in restraints. So as not to frighten the female therapists, his lower half was covered with a white sheet.
Upon entering, Lu Xiao walked straight over to greet him. "Good morning, Dean. How have you been this past week?"
Seeing Lu Xiao, Dean’s eyes filled with an unconcealable excitement, yet he greeted her with great restraint. "Hello, Lady Lu Xiao. I’m doing very well. I—I’ve prepared a gift for you. It’s a puzzle. I... I hope you’ll like it."
"You like puzzles?"
"Yes, very much. I know you were the one who suggested they give me a private space. I’m very grateful. I don’t have anything right now, so I hope you don’t find it too shabby."
"Of course not. I’ve always wanted a puzzle, but I’m not very good at them. This came at the perfect time."
Lu Xiao’s words made the smile in Dean’s eyes deepen.
This feeling—of his sincere gesture not being unappreciated—clearly brought Dean a great deal of pleasure.
Afterwards, Lu Xiao explained today’s treatment plan to him. The four teachers would treat him first. This way, Lu Xiao could immediately help them recover as soon as they were finished.
It would prevent a situation where all five of them came only to be completely wiped out.
Neither Dean nor Hans had any objections to the treatment plan Lu Xiao proposed.
In their minds, just having someone willing to perform Spiritual Soothing was a great blessing.
Be picky?
They didn’t have the right.
And so, Lu Xiao said no more. Teacher Ai Li led the others and they began performing Spiritual Soothing on Dean one by one.
However, Dean’s current condition was a significant challenge even for Lu Xiao, let alone for the four teachers led by Ai Li.
By the end, nearly every teacher could barely stand. Thankfully, Lu Xiao was there to perform Spiritual Soothing on them right away, helping them recover.
After all four teachers had finished their treatments, Lu Xiao didn’t rush to perform the final Spiritual Soothing on Dean. Instead, she walked over to the instrument to check the data report.
The instrument showed that after the four teachers’ Spiritual Soothing, Dean’s Spirit Sea risk assessment value had dropped slightly.
This proved that Spiritual Soothing from females was effective on males. It was just that the treatment process was often too agonizing.
That was why there were so many irresponsible females in the Empire.
After witnessing the pain Teacher Ai Li and the others went through firsthand, Lu Xiao could somewhat understand the females’ reluctance.
Seeing that the four teachers had mostly recovered, Lu Xiao finally began her treatment for Dean.
Dean was still conscious. Seeing Lu Xiao approach, he spoke with a hint of apology. "Thank you for your hard work, Lady Lu Xiao."
"Don’t think too much about it. Just get some good sleep." Lu Xiao gently patted Dean’s shoulder, then raised her hand and placed it on his forehead.
Over the past week, Lu Xiao’s purification power had grown considerably, but facing someone of Dean’s level was still a strain.
Twenty minutes later, Lu Xiao pulled back her hand. Although her face was pale, she was in much better shape than last time. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
When she had finished the treatment last time, she had been a bit unsteady on her feet.
This time, her condition was clearly much better.
But Teacher Ai Li still rushed over to support her, and Teacher Sherry quickly handed her some water. "Dear, are you alright? You look so pale!"
They hadn’t come along last time, so they had never seen Lu Xiao in a worse state. Even so, they looked at her now, filled with worry.
Lu Xiao smiled. "I’m just tired. I’ll be fine after a good night’s sleep. Don’t worry, I feel much better this time."
Seeing that Lu Xiao was still in the mood to smile, Teacher Ai Li found herself wondering if Lu Xiao was brilliant or just plain foolish.
"Don’t talk for now. Just rest for a bit."
Lu Xiao nodded, took a sip of water, then looked toward Admiral Hans, who was hesitating to approach. She smiled. "Admiral, please continue with Dean’s special treatment. I’ll be back next Monday at the same time."
"There’s really no need to rush. Once a month would be fine, too. You don’t have to push yourself so hard." Seeing the young female so weak, Hans couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy.
But Lu Xiao waved her hand. "No need. My condition is only temporary; I’ll be fine after some rest. Besides, I also want to verify a few things through Dean."
