Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 166 - 167 Shocking Everyone!
"As long as you spare the Li Family, from today on I, Li Min, will be your maid!" Li Min groveled, kowtowing repeatedly as she begged for mercy.
"Li Min, you shameless wench, you’ve utterly disappointed me!" Bai He gritted his teeth in anger, his clenched fists cracking loudly. But he couldn’t stop Li Min from kowtowing and admitting her fault; he could only suppress the rage burning in his heart.
"Young Master Qin, I was good friends with Xuewu in high school, and I even helped her. Please, spare me!" Li Min kept kowtowing, her gaze fixed on Qin Long as she pleaded for her life.
Gradually, everyone’s eyes, including Tang Xuewu’s, converged on Qin Long.
Sipping his tea, Qin Long calmly set his cup down and looked at Li Min with a cold expression. "What’s wrong? The seventy-two hours aren’t up yet and the Li Family already can’t take it?"
"Young Master Qin, I was blind and arrogant. Please, spare me..." Upon hearing this, Li Min immediately began shaking her head frantically.
Tang Xuewu watched everything unfold, remaining silent.
"Back then, you tried to force me to drink wine. If Xuewu hadn’t protected me, my leg would have been crippled," Qin Long said indifferently, his fingers drumming on the table.
His words made Li Min and Bai He recall the scene from that day. A drunken Li Min had tried to force Qin Long to drink, even threatening to pour the wine over his head. To protect him, Tang Xuewu had offered to pour it on her own head and apologize on his behalf. Yet Li Min had remained haughty, continuing to humiliate Qin Long. Enraged, Qin Long had declared that the Li Family would face bankruptcy and liquidation within seventy-two hours.
At the time, everyone had thought he was just bluffing and paid him no mind. Li Min had even stepped forward, wanting to rough him up while taunting him to make his move against her family.
Recalling this, everyone fell silent.
"Isn’t this what you wanted? The Li Family will soon be reduced to ashes." Qin Long stroked his chin, his expression nonchalant, as if everything was going according to plan. At that moment, an aura of deadly decisiveness radiated from him, sending a shiver through the hearts of the young women like Jiang Tiantian.
"Young Master Qin, I was foolish and overestimated myself... I shouldn’t have forced Xuewu to pour the wine on herself, nor should I have insulted you so wantonly..." Li Min was now in tears, scrambling over to Qin Long on her hands and knees.
"Are you sure you’re apologizing to the right person?" Qin Long’s gaze turned icy as he stared down at her.
Hearing his words, Li Min instantly scrambled over to Tang Xuewu and knelt before her. "Xuewu, I’m sorry. I wasn’t human. I truly know I was wrong..."
Li Min gritted her teeth and began smashing her forehead against the ground.
THUD!
THUD!
THUD!
A series of sharp impacts echoed from the floor, punctuated by Li Min’s desperate pleas. With each kowtow, she apologized to Tang Xuewu. For a moment, Tang Xuewu was completely stunned.
"That’s enough, Li Min. Let’s just let it go," Tang Xuewu said, hurrying over to help her up. She was a naturally kind girl who didn’t hold grudges. Although Li Min had been incredibly cruel to her and Qin Long, her heart softened now that she saw Li Min being punished.
"No, I must keep kneeling..." Li Min stopped kowtowing but trembled as she stole a glance at Qin Long. Her forehead was bleeding profusely, a frightening sight. Qin Long hadn’t spoken. Is she so terrified that she doesn’t dare get up on her own?
"Alright. For Xuewu’s sake, I’ll spare you for now." Qin Long met Tang Xuewu’s gaze, then waved his hand dismissively at Li Min.
"Thank you, Young Master Qin! Thank you... What about... the Li Family’s company?" Li Min asked tremulously, still kneeling on the ground.
"I’ll spare you this one time. Next time, the Li Family will be obliterated," Qin Long said after a slight pause, noticing a signal from Tang Xuewu. The tiny Li Family? I could annihilate them with a flick of my finger.
"I am eternally grateful for your immense kindness, Young Master Qin." Hearing his words, Li Min felt as if she had received a grand amnesty and immediately knocked her head on the ground several more times with resounding thuds.
"Xuewu, let’s go," Qin Long said, waving to Tang Xuewu.
"Mm-hm." Tang Xuewu’s delicate body trembled slightly before she hurried to his side, supporting him as they slowly walked outside.
"Qin Long, don’t be so arrogant!" Bai He bellowed, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists. "There are plenty of powerful figures in Jiang whom you can’t afford to offend!"
Qin Long slowly glanced back at him. Bai He instantly felt as if he had been targeted by a ferocious beast.
"In all of Jiang, there is no one I can’t afford to offend! If you, Bai He, dare to harbor any ill intentions toward Xuewu again, I guarantee the Bai Family will end up in a worse state than the Li Family!"
Upon hearing this, Bai He felt a chill run down his spine. At that moment, an oppressive aura from Qin Long swept over the entire room, causing everyone present to shudder involuntarily. Bai He opened his mouth to speak but stopped, pinned down by the formidable pressure. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"Don’t court death. This is my last warning to you, Bai He."
Qin Long retracted his aura and walked out slowly, supported by Tang Xuewu. Jiang Tiantian followed closely behind them.
"Li Min, you absolute idiot! Do you have any idea what you’re doing?" Bai He stared furiously at Li Min and slapped the table. "How could you grovel and beg Qin Long for mercy like that?" If she hadn’t done that, how could Qin Long have been so arrogant?
But Li Min had been driven to desperation. She didn’t know who was backing Qin Long, nor could she be certain he was the one attacking her family. The Li Family was now grasping at straws. It was either face bankruptcy and liquidation, ending up on the streets, or try anything and everything they could.
"Fine, you don’t get it. I’m leaving." Li Min pressed a hand to her bloodied forehead and turned to leave.
Now, only Bai He, Liu Xiaoyue, and their friends remained in the room, all of whom looked down on Qin Long.
"Brother Bai, what in the world is going on?" one of them asked. "How could someone as proud and arrogant as Li Min kowtow to Qin Long and beg for mercy? Could he really be someone special?" They all wore puzzled expressions, lost in thought.
"That fool Li Min must have been kicked in the head by a donkey!" Liu Xiaoyue sneered, her delicate face filled with sarcasm. "That good-for-nothing Qin Long was a muddle-headed idiot for three years. He only just regained his senses recently. How could he possibly have the power to suppress the Li Family? It’s simply impossible!"
Liu Xiaoyue’s words sent Bai He deep into thought. She has a point. If Qin Long truly had such power and backing, why would he have let the Tang Family bully him for so long? Besides, connections and influence aren’t things you can acquire overnight. The Li Family has clawed its way up in Jiang for over thirty years to become a reasonably successful family. Could someone like Qin Long really crush them with just a few words?
"The only other possibility is that Qin Long is the young master of some powerful family," Liu Xiaoyue mused, "but that’s not realistic, and I don’t believe it. Besides, there isn’t any powerful Qin Family in Jiang or the provincial capital. I had someone check all of them last time, and they found nothing."
Hearing this, the others nodded in agreement, their expressions turning disdainful once more.
"It must have been a coincidence. Some powerful figure he happened to know must have taken action."
