A month passed since Allen's fight in Prostia.

Everyone was busy as the year drew to an end, and someone new was moving to Heavy User's mayor's residence.

Peromus' confession was successful, and Fiona was moving to Heavy User Island with him.

The chiefs of the four cities on the island and various others also helped with the move, happy that their mayor had found a beautiful wife.

Other than Allen, Cecile was also there from Allen's party.

Everyone in the Abandoned Gamers party could do what they wanted that day.

Kurena went to the mountain to tend to Haku, the little White Dragon.

Cecile said she was there as the vice-mayor, but in reality she just wanted to watch her childhood friend Fiona.

They were already married, but the actual wedding party had not happened yet.

Peromus' company was one of Latash's biggest, and many of its employees came from Grandvelle, a region they supported through taxes as well.

Duke Grandvelle had told Peromus to wait a bit for the wedding party, as he wanted to make sure it was big and glamorous as it should be.

"This is quite a lot of stuff. I'm not sure if the helpers can get this inside."

Allen was there helping too.

Fiona was the daughter of a rich man in Latash, so she even had storage magic devices, but a portion of the furniture she brought would not fit inside the house.

A small issue started there.

"Yeah… Hmmm…what should we do, Fiona?"

Peromus looked to his side, asking Fiona what to do.

"You're asking me? Your house is too small for a mayor!"

Fiona became exasperated by Peromus' indecisiveness.

(She's really the one in charge of the relationship, huh. But I guess that's also a form of happiness.)

Heavy User Island was roughly the size of Hachijo Island, with 15000 inhabitants split into four cities.

It was not the biggest island, so even the mayor's residence was a modest building.

Fiona had wished it was bigger, so the city chiefs rushed in to protect their mayor.

"Maybe we should have the meeting room and consulting offices in another building? I don't think that having us constantly visiting the house of newlyweds would be a good idea."

The chief of Erle gave a suggestion.

"That's a good idea, though we've been having a lot of meetings lately…"

Peromus did not look very convinced yet.

He was a hard worker, and always strived to do as much as he could as mayor.

He had adjusted his house to have a meeting room and consulting offices so the chiefs or other people could come talk to him directly, and he was hesitant to get rid of them.

Peromus' role as mayor was to help Allen and Allen's Army communicate with the townsfolk, making sure there were enough jobs for everyone, arranging the building of more houses, schools, or medical facilities, and various other things.

There were things he could do without having to ask Allen for permission, but he still needed to present a written report every month.

"Then Peromus, why don't you merge your house with the ones next to it? You'll have three times more space, and you can still expand it even more if you want."

(Successful merchants usually live in houses as big as castles.)

Peromus' work had a strong effect on the lives of the people in Heavy User Island.

He also wanted to make up for all the time he spent away in Prostia.

"Huh? Allen, you're saying we should rebuild the house?"

"Huh? Master Allen, that's a bit…"

Peromus and Fiona's voices overlapped.

Fiona realized she had just made demands all the time.

She noticed she was acting too spoiled, and was starting to bother other people.

(Then again, it's thanks to Fiona that I was able to maintain a friendship with Peromus.)

Back when Allen was a servant, and when he went to the Academy, Peromus always spoke with him about Fiona.

Considering the effect that had on their time at Prostia, and Peromus' work there, Allen was thankful Fiona had always acted so selfishly.

Allen felt like it was fair to help Peromus with both his personal and work life.

"This is your first day here, so just leave the house matters to the people here, and instead take a tour around the island."

"Huh? Are you sure about that Allen?"

"Of course."

Allen had given a free day to the party, so he felt like it would be a waste if Peromus' free day was spent moving houses.

The earth spirits controlled by elves could easily rebuild a house in less than a day.

Fiona had never been to the island before, so Allen summoned two Bird B summons to show them around.

Peromus and Fiona went on one, Allen and Cecile on the other.

Fiona was a bit scared of the summon at first, so Peromus held his hand out to help her.

"That's so cute. You could learn a thing or two, Allen. You never took my hand to help me."

"Hm? You don't need that though."

"I do!!"

Cecile got jealous seeing how gentle Peromus was with Fiona.

"Really? Maybe next time then."

Allen gave a distracted reply and started thinking of the best route.

"Ohh! You can actually tell the island is in the air from up here!!"

Once they were flying, Fiona voiced her surprise at the incredible sight.

They had gotten there with the Bird A's Awakened Skill [Homing Instinct], so she was still not fully convinced that the island was floating in the air.

"Yes, it's a floating island. This here is the city of Erle…"

Fiona had already greeted the townsfolk when she got there.

Now she was hugging Peromus from behind, while Peromus pointed at the various locations.

As the mayor, Peromus was the one most knowledgeable about the island.

(Hmm, that's a lot of pressure. I can feel my Endurance being put to work.)

Cecile also hugged Allen from behind, imitating Fiona.

Allen felt like his Endurance was being affected by that. Makris came to see them shortly after.

'Hello, Master Allen.'

"Hey Makris. Are you doing well?"

'Yes of course~'

Makris greeted them from a safe distance, then went to fly higher to swim around the air.

Allen had pretty much completed his tests on Makris as a summon.

[Main properties of Makris and details of the Awakened Skill [Sacred Bead Creation]]

-Only one Makris could be summoned

-The Awakened Skill [Sacred Bead Creation] makes three beads in a month

-The Awakened Skill [Sacred Bead Creation]'s cooldown could not be shortened

The fact that only one could be Created or summoned was the same as Merus.

It seemed like special summons that came from living souls could only have one copy, and even when Allen tried spending 15 Sacred Bead Points he was unable to Create another Makris.

Makris' Awakened Skill allowed him to make a Sacred Bead every 10 days.

Even under the effects of equipment that lowered cooldowns, or the Spirit King's Blessing that removed cooldowns altogether, the time it took to create Sacred Beads was the same.

Only 3 Sacred Beads could be made in a month.

If a Sacred Bead was produced the tenth day, and then the Awakened Skill was used a day later, the second Sacred Bead would take 9 days to be created.

In a way Makris would start production of the next without needing to be asked.

It was like the Sacred Beads were being stored in Makris' tear glands.

While Allen tested all that, Makris came to live above the mermen city in the island.

"Over there is Coure, where mermen live."

"Ohh, the mermen that came to sing for us."

There were elves and beastmen there too, but Rosalina and the mermen left the strongest impression on Fiona.

"Do you want to go visit them? Maybe your bracelet is already done."

"Oh, let's go then!"

They went from Erle to Coure.

Around 3000 mermen lived there.

There was a workshop there, built rather recently.

Inside they found Kasagoma, the rockfish-faced merman who also traded in Prostia.

"Hello, Master Allen and Mayor Peromus. The bracelet is done."

He instantly understood why they came there.

"Huh? Is that true?!"

"Yes. Please let your wife try it on."

Hearing that the bracelet was done, Peromus was the first to react.

He received the bracelet with a shiny blue gem, and brought it to Fiona.

"Here, Fiona. Hold your arm out so I can put it on you."

"Okay. Oh, it's so pretty."

Peromus slid Fiona's hand into the recently finished bracelet.

"So beautiful…"

"Only thanks to Peromus, he worked hard to get the tear."

"No, I'm saying Fiona looks beautiful!"

"Oh."

(Hm, I have no idea what I'm watching. And why is Cecile looking so angry?)

The couple were happy, but for some reason Cecile was getting annoyed.

Allen tried to decode her grumblings, and the gist was that she hoped Allen had done the same for her when they got the first Sacred Bead in Clebeur.

While Peromus and Fiona went into their own happy world, Allen went to Kasagoma.

"Please tell me if you need anything for your workshop."

Allen would pay for anything to keep things running.

"Thank you. I feel like I need more workers to help out at the moment though."

The two started talking about the workshop.

Barely crystalized tears could not be used to make a bracelet.

They had to undergo a certain treatment, which required a special Talent, before that was possible.

It was similar to how some magic devices also required a specific Talent to be operable.

Anyone could obtain them from dungeons and the like, but working with them and turning them into other things required special Talents.

The talent to work on such magic accessories were known as Magic Crafters.

It was similar to Magic Engineers needed for magic devices.

The talents common amongst mermen were Spearmen, Singers, and Magic Crafters.

There was no one in Clebeur or Coure that could make a bracelet with Makris' Sacred Bead.

That was why they brought someone from Prostia.

Magic Tinkerer was the Talent with the least Stars, and was not enough for the job.

Only a few dozen people in Patlanta had a Talent with more Stars.

Allen asked Empress Rapsonile if she could give him the most skilled one.

She agreed instantly, but the person she had in mind also owned a shop, which made moving tricky.

Allen asked who that was, and it was the only Magic Master Craftsman in Prosita, known as Kasagoma. But he was mostly tending to his shop these days.

He had a knack for selling things, and as he was the only one with his Talent, it gave his shop even more recognition.

There was a ladder to those Talents, similar to Magic Engineers.

[Talents in the Magic Engineer and Magic Crafter lines]:

-Magic Worker 1 Star, Magic Engineer 2 Stars, Magic Professor 3 Stars, Magic Genius 4 Stars

-Magic Tinkerer 1 Star, Magic Artisan 2 Stars, Magic Crafter 3 Stars, Magic Master Craftsman 4 Stars

Once things were negotiated, Kasagoma wanted to move there as soon as possible.
