Hellmode ~A Hardcore Gamer Becomes Peerless in Another World with Retro Game Settings~-Chapter 630: At the end of Giran’s trials
Chapter 630: At the end of Giran's trials
Shea had successfully completed Giran's 2 trials, and now was hopping around to test how her new equipment felt.
Allen also checked his Grimoire, and saw that there was a new equipment slot for shoes too.
(Ohh, so it counts as a new type of equipment, that's helpful.)
Allen checked Shea's equipment to see where the Divine Artifact was equipped.
He feared it counted as an anklet, but was relieved to see it was in a separate Shoes section.
Only one accessory could be worn on one side of the body for their stats to count, so there was no point to wearing 5 rings on each finger for example.
But seeing that it was a different type of equipment put Allen's worries at ease.
Closing the Grimoire, Allen walked up to Giran.
"Thank you very much for your kind gift."
"Oh, right. I guess I should thank you as well. I appreciate that you gave me all this power, even if Albahar isn't in your service."
Shea ran up to Allen's side and also thanked Giran.
Giran was the deity of Brysen, and was not prayed to as much in Albahar.
But that did not bother Giran, and he still gave Shea a lot of power.
'...Just remember that the Beast God Garm won't be as kind to you as me.'
(He won't be kind? I'd really like to have an easier time though.)
"I appreciate the advice. Does this mean you'll introduce us to the Beast God Garm?"
Completing Giran's trials had taken some time, but their original goal was to meet Garm, who was the ancestor of Albahar, and the deity the people of Albahar prayed to.
When they met Albahar, he had advised the group to meet Giran first, and to not be rude, and they had followed that, until they talked to Giran for a while..
'Just how much babysitting do you want? He lives in the temple on the northwest border. At least go there on your own feet.'
"So we just travel northwest and we'll find the Temple? Thank you. We'll be taking our leave then."
'Yes, and hopefully you'll receive the Beast God Garm's Blessing.'
Allen turned around and brought out a Bird A summon, holding it on his hand.
"Tsubamen, head to the Temple in the northwestern border and leave a [Nest] there."
'Piii!'
The summon spread its wings and flew away, moving rapidly with the 30000 Agility it gained from Growth Level 9.
"..."
(Now I think Peromus should be done with his trial, and there has been some activity with Zew too. I'll have to get to work soon.)
"Oh, we aren't heading to visit Lord Garm right away?"
"No, Cecile. There's still a lot we have to do, since Peromus seems to have completed his trial. There's also something Somei requested that I should pass onto him when we regroup."
"Ahh, right, I remember."
"Let's go back to Boaso and discuss what to do now, everyone."
Allen's group left the hill, where the white stone platform was gone.
There was 1 [Nest] in Boaso, located within the mansion of the dragonkin patriarch Somei's mansion, which was built of wood and stone.
"Ohh, welcome Lord Allen!"
The gatekeeper Katakuchi was waiting for them in the room where they appeared.
"I'm so sorry to intrude, but could we use one of the mansion's rooms for a meeting?"
"Of course. Feel free to use whichever you like."
Katakuchi went as far as to guide them to a meeting room.
Allen held the door of the room open while everyone entered inside.
"I'll go bring Peromus from the capital now. Rest until then."
"I see, got it."
Allen had heard through the Wraith B summon in the capital that Peromus had completed his trial. They had a lot to discuss now, so Allen wanted to bring him to the meeting.
Allen teleported away, and 10 minutes later came back accompanied by 3 figures.
They were Peromus, his newly wed wife Fiona, and a squirrel beastman, who narrowed her eyes looking at Shea.
"Oh, so Lady Shea has overcome a trial as well. I can tell you've become stronger."
(It was 2 trials, actually.)
There was no need to point that out, so Allen kept that thought to himself.
"Oh, Temi. You've completed your trial as well then?"
"Yes, and then I was taken to the capital, before being snatched here in almost no time. I'm really not young enough to be traveling around like that."
"Temi was together with Peromus, so I figured it'd be alright. Anyway, let's talk about our plans."
Everyone entered the meeting room.
There were no tables or chairs inside, so everyone sat on the floor, forming a circle around Allen. The walls were thick too, so the ceiling was open to let in more air.
(Oh right, there's no rain here in Shandar. We're above the clouds after all.)
Every day was sunny in Shandar, without exception.
"So, what are we going to do now?"
"There's a lot, Cecile. But first, Merus, use Happy Carnival."
'Hm? Alright. Catalog…'
Allen had also brought Merus there, who took out a pair of maracas from his Catalog and began shaking them to a samba rhythm while shaking his hips, casting a Special and Awakened Skill on the group.
His eyes were filled with anger though, not celebrating at all.
It was very likely a fight would broke out the next time he saw Lupto.
[Angel B summon weapon [Maracas]'s Special and Awakened Skills]
-Special Skill [Passionate Samba]: Strength and Mana +10000, Mana and Spiritual Power regeneration 3% per second
Range of 1 kilometer, and cooldown of 1 day
-Awakened Skill [Happy Carnival]: Strength and Mana +30000, Mana and Spiritual Power regeneration 5% per second
Range of 10 kilometers, cooldown of 1 day, and can stack on top of the Special Skill
"That's another Cheat…"
Cecile's hair stood on end, her cheat sensor fully activated.
She was starting to get paranoid that she would no longer be of use to the party.
(I'm so glad I finally got a Special Skill to regenerate Spiritual Power.)
Merus had gained various buffs from the Angel B summon, and while they would not stack across weapons, each of them was still highly valuable.
Thanks to that, Allen was able to regenerate an enormous amount of Spiritual Power now.
"So, what are we going to do now?"
Cecile was still glaring at Allen, but Shea ignored her and tried to get the meeting started.
"Right. Let's get everyone caught up first. Peromus and Temi successfully completed their trials."
There were many who had started their trials before Shea.
Peromus had completed his yesterday, and had returned to the capital in the magic ship.
Astrologer Temi had also completed her trial, before joining Peromus.
Because of that, Allen had brought Temi together with Peromus.
"Does this mean we'll finally deal with the Earth Labyrinth in earnest now?"
The reason why they had sent Temi to take a trial from the God of Divination was to gain more power to get through the Earth Labyrinth, which was an enormous dungeon they had to get through within 24 hours.
"That's the plan, for later though. Before that, it seems that Zew's group has found something in the direction Temi pointed at before."
Allen had sent the Ten Heroic Beasts to search the Paradise of Primordial Beasts, except for Temi. They were looking for shards of the sun and moon there.
3 days ago they had found a large structure, which they were investigating now.
"My brother? Should I go join him then?"
Shea frowned a bit saying that. Zew was very doting of Shea, but she was not very fond of him.
"No, you'll go with Rosalina to the Earth Labyrinth and focus on hunting ghosts."
"What? But I don't like sweaty places, and not sleeping."
Rosalina instantly started complaining.
Going through the Earth Labyrinth required being awake for 24 hours straight, something that Rosalina despised due to her obsession with beauty.
"Just bear with it. At your Level you won't be able to get out everything from your Skills."
Rosalina was still at Level 80.
At the same time, Merle was still gathering more Faith Points, but defeating Demigod Rank ghosts did not give Allen any more Levels.
"Really..? Ugh I guess I'll have to."
She reluctantly agreed to it.
"Hmm, but I also have to raise my Skill Levels…"
"Yes, Shea. We don't know what other trials we'll have to get through, and we might even end up fighting the Beast God Garm."
The moment Allen said that, everyone became tense in the meeting room.
