Help!! This Girl Is A Yandere!!!-Chapter 34: Torture
"Yeheark."The Feral Hyena let out a guttural, raspy chuckle as it loomed over the battered wolf that could no longer rise. Its cruel, cracked lips curled into a savage grin, revealing yellowed fangs soaked in gore. Victory was certain—it would finish this with the next blow.
"Yark?"But just as it prepared to strike the final blow, it paused. Something was wrong. A massive shadow—nearly the size of its own hulking frame—stretched across the battlefield. It grew rapidly, swallowing the ground in its silhouette. The Feral Hyena’s instincts flared.
Danger.
It snapped its head around just in time to see an entire tree hurtling straight for its face.
BANG!
The beast roared and swung its mace tail with explosive force. The moment the tail collided with the tree, bark and branches exploded into fragments. The impact shattered the trunk midair, splintering it into dust. But before the debris could even settle, something emerged from the smoke—A blur. A figure. A human.
Xavier.
With the jagged, sharpened end of a broken branch in his hands
(I think we can all see where this is going.)
Thrust!
STAB!
Puchi~!
"YAAAARRKK!!"
Xavier rammed the branch directly into the creature’s right eye, the wood piercing through its socket and sliding into the brain cavity with a sickening pop.
"Surprise, motherf*er." He didn’t wait for the beast to react. With ruthless precision, he pulled out another sharpened splinter and, with a vicious growl.
STAB!
Puchi~!
"AAAARRKK!!"The second spear of wood punctured the left eye, turning the Feral Hyena completely blind.
The monster shrieked in anguish, its roars echoing through the battlefield. Its grotesque body thrashed wildly, blood gushing from its mutilated face.
For a moment, the surrounding chaos paused. The wolves halted their combat, lifting their heads and howling in triumph—their Alpha had returned.
"Aaaooo!"
The battlefield shook with their cries.
The hyenas, meanwhile, reeled in horror. They had never witnessed something like this. Even among themselves, only their Matriarch had ever dominated the Feral one.
And now this... human?
But shock didn’t hold them for long.
Snarling, snapping, and screeching, several Ungraded Hyenas broke ranks and sprinted toward their blinded champion, determined to protect it.
"Aaaooo!!"The wolves leapt into action, forming a wall of snarling fur and fangs. Xavier was here now. They would protect him as he protected them. They clashed with the incoming hyenas, howling with fury.
Still, due to their advantage in numbers, a few managed to slip past the frontlines.
Xavier’s bloodstained gaze flicked toward them. He glanced down at the battered Level 9 Ungraded Wolf—the one who had risked everything to stall the Feral Hyena.
His jaw clenched.
Xavier looked at the bloodied figure of the Ungraded Level 9 Wolf and felt both pride and anger boiling in him. Pride because it took responsibility for the pack and managed to keep the Feral Hyena occupied until he arrived. Anger because he felt that it was his fault that led to this situation. If only he had figured that the Level 3 Feral Grade Mace Tail Hyena had a pack of its own much sooner, then the wolf in front of him wouldn’t have been this badly hurt.
But there was one crucial thing Xavier did not know—He had not seen the full extent of Fyrex’s earlier battle after all.
BANG!
"Oogh!" Something slammed into his ribs.
Hard. (That’s what she said.)
An earthen baton, crudely shaped, clobbered him from the side. He stumbled and hit the dirt.
"Yaark!"The Feral Hyena, though blinded, had lashed out again.
BANG!
Its mace tail crashed into the ground where he had just been.
"Tch! It’s using its nose and ears to hunt me now. Just my luck."
He scooped the wolf into his arms.
"C’mere!"
Then—he dashed.
"Crap—!"
He cursed aloud as four hyenas broke away from the fight and chased him down. Their footsteps thundered behind him, their bloodlust thick in the air.
’I won’t be able to fight while carrying this wolf. It will only get us both killed.’
He veered sharply and jumped.
"Haap!"
In one fluid motion, he scaled a nearby tree, branches snapping beneath his boots.
"Yark!" The hyenas shrieked in frustration, clawing at the trunk—but they could not climb.
"Huff... huff..."Perched on a thick branch, Xavier opened his bag.
Zip! 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
He pulled out a vial of green liquid.
A Healing Potion.
He’d only had a few—and used one already. But now... there was no other way.
’If this doesn’t work, we’re done.’
He uncorked the vial and carefully poured the contents into the wolf’s mouth.
The injured wolf blinked slowly.
The battered and bruised wolf had seen everything that happened with its eyes. It had seen Xavier come to its rescue however, it seemed that even Xavier was having a tough time dealing with the Feral Grade Hyena. Not because Xavier was weak but rather Xavier was protecting it. It felt immense gratitude towards Xavier and regret towards itself for being a burden to him. That’s why, it wished that Xavier would abandon it and beat the hell out of the Feral Hyena and its stooges thereby protecting the wolf pack.
Hence, when it saw Xavier take out a strange green liquid it thought that Xavier was going to painlessly kill it with a poison. It didn’t feel sad, instead, it wished that it could’ve helped Xavier.
But instead... it felt something strange.
Warmth.
A rush of vitality surged through its veins.
Its gashes began to close. The pain began to fade.
Three minutes later, the wolf—bloodstained but whole—opened its eyes.
Xavier looked at it and forced a tired smile despite feeling extreme exhaustion from first fighting the Feral Grade Scorching Bear then the Ungraded Wolves and now a Feral Grade Hyena and it’s pack.
"You okay?" he asked softly.
The wolf stared at him, confused at the words but understanding the warmth in his voice. It nodded.
Then it leaned forward and began to lick the blood from Xavier’s face.
It was really touched and felt even more regret seeing that Xavier used that strange green liquid to heal it than using it on himself.
"Easy, easy..."He gently rubbed its fur and pushed it back.
"You okay?" Xavier asked, once again using his hands.
Nod
The wolf nodded its head.
He then pointed toward the hyenas still trying to climb.
"Can you handle those bas*ards?. I will take the big one."
Nod Nod
The wolf nodded twice with conviction and leapt from the tree.
"AAOOO!!"
The wolf roared as it slashed at the stunned hyenas, tearing through them with sharpened claws.
"Alright. My turn." Xavier narrowed his gaze toward the blind, lumbering mass of muscle and rage.
The Feral Hyena was sniffing furiously, searching for him.
’I can’t let it flail around blindly. It might hit my wolves. I need to draw it away.’
’Haah... curse you Samuel. Leaving me without any weapons. You could’ve at least given me a kitchen knife.’
But now wasn’t the time to complain.
’Well, I never thought I’d need this in a situation like this but it seems that I have to.’ Xavier thought as he looked at a certain item in his bag.
He reached into his bag.
Gulp.
"This sure is going to hurt." Xavier gulped as he said.
"Keh~" His lips curled upwards in derision as he let out a small chuckle.
"For you."
"Huh!"
With a grunt, he launched himself through the treetops, tree to tree, until he found one close enough to the beast.
"HEY, BLINDY!" Xavier screamed.
"YARK?!"
The Feral Hyena turned, unsure.
Sniff—"YAAARRK!!"
It picked up his annoying scent and charged, swinging its tail like a wrecking ball.
"Haap!"
Xavier jumped on top of another tree and while he was still mid-air, the Feral Hyena’s mace tail crushed the tree into two pieces.
KKRHH!
The trunk splintered like a twig.
’Damn, one swing of that and I’m done for.’ Xavier thought feeling slightly nervous.
Jump
KKRHH!
The second tree also met with the same fate as its predecessor.
Jump
KKRHH!
Over and over, the Hyena chased him, destroying tree after tree.
’This should be far enough.’
After over a minute of this chase, Xavier finally dropped into an open field.
He turned around, facing the roaring monster.
"Yark-"
"SHUT UUUUUUUUUUP!!!"
Xavier screamed at the top of his lungs.
He had infused his Etherlines connecting to his vocal cords with Aether thereby, enhancing his voice to a degree that’d give MRI machines a run for their money.
Xavier had used his full prowess in that shout and that was enough to...
BURST!
The sound hit like a bomb.
"YAAAAAARRRRRK!!"The Feral Hyena reeled in agony as its eardrums burst violently, blood pouring from both ears. It staggered, dazed and vulnerable.
’Now.’
Xavier didn’t miss this opportunity and rushed to the Feral Hyena. He arrived in front of it and jumped.
"Take this you idiot!"
Xavier opened his closed fist and threw an unknown white powder straight into its slashed bleeding eyes.
SHPUFF!
"YAAAHAARRRKKKKK!!!"
It flailed even harder, screeching in unbearable agony.
That’s because the white powder Xavier had used was... salt.
