Her Dark Desires-Chapter 112: Having A Child

As the couple arrived at Rosehill City, Ethan was already waiting to drive them to the villa.

Eliana greeted Ethan with a smile and then looked at her husband as she asked, "Is everything alright?"

Zach kissed her forehead and said, "I’m fine." He opened the door for her and entered the car after her.

Luckily for him, Eliana fell asleep on his shoulder, giving him the opportunity to ensure that all the news concerning her infertility was gone.

Zach frowned when he saw an incoming call from his mother and didn’t even take a second before rejecting the call.

He looked at Ethan, who was driving, and asked, "Have you found out who leaked the video?"

Ethan glanced at Eliana, who was still sleeping, and said softly, "Not yet. But whoever leaked the video must have attended the party. All the CCTV cameras in the garden are still being reviewed, and I’m sure before the end of today, we will know the name of the person who has done this."

"You have two hours." Zach demanded, and when Eliana stirred in her sleep, he stroked her hair softly. His heart ached at what would happen if she were to find out about the video. Even if he were to remove all traces of it from the internet, people would still talk; they would still whisper, and sadly, that was something he could not control. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

When they arrived at their house, Zach gently woke Eliana up.

Eliana yawned softly and smiled when she saw that they were home.

They both got out of the car, and Eliana entered the house first when she saw Zach having an intense discussion with Ethan.

She wondered what they were talking about.

"I’m so hungry, and I miss my Leo." Eliana muttered to herself as she walked to the kitchen.

She was about to switch on the gas when she saw Zach walking in.

She looked at him and said, "I’m about to cook some noodles for us."

Zach sighed and walked towards her.

"Are you alright? Why do you look so exhausted?" Eliana asked.

Zachary didn’t know what to do. He had to tell her because he knew that she would be more hurt if she heard it from outsiders.

Zach gave her phone to her.

Eliana collected it and saw a paused video on the screen; she played it and silently watched it to the end. It was a video of when she was begging Zach to agree for them to use a surrogate to carry their child because she was unable to give birth.

Someone had recorded their entire conversation, and as she remembered Zach demanding something be deleted, a thought came to her mind.

"Does everyone know?" She asked calmly.

He wanted to lie that no one was able to see the video before he took it down, but he knew it would be of no use.

"It was on the internet for ten minutes, and during those minutes, it got half a million views." Zach hated her calmness; he wished she would get angry, cry, or do something except for being so calm. He wanted to know what she was thinking, but he couldn’t. He didn’t understand what was going on in her mind as she watched the video repeatedly, but he saw as the light of happiness that was in her eyes became dimmer until it completely disappeared.

Zach snatched the phone from her hand and cupped her cheek as he said, "Hey, I will find the person who did this, and I promise they will pay for what they have done."

Eliana forcefully removed Zach’s hands from her cheek and suddenly burst into laughter. She laughed until tears formed in her eyes, and soon enough, her sound of laughter turned into bitter tears that gripped Zach’s heart.

"Eli...."

"Don’t. Don’t try to comfort me or lie to me that you will make everything alright. And did you say you will make them pay? Pay for what, Zach? For telling the truth?"

"What are you saying, Eliana?"

"I can’t give you a child! And so what if everyone now knows? It’s not as if they won’t find out in years to come when we remain childless in our marriage." Eliana said as she cleaned the tears running down from her eyes. She locked her gaze on Zach and said, "The worst-case scenario is that we get a divorce, and hopefully you get a wife who isn’t incomplete."

"Stop it!" Zach shouted. Realizing how he had raised his tone, he let out a sigh and said, "If you are trying to get me angry, then I assure you that it’s working. So because of what people may say or think of us, you want to get a divorce? Is our relationship that fragile that you think a child is needed to keep us together?"

Eliana sniffed and didn’t know what to say. She didn’t care what people would say about her; they may insult and taunt her all they want, but she didn’t care. She only cared about one thing: that Zach may one day leave her because of her inability to give him a child.

Zach cleaned her tears and joined their foreheads together; he kissed her slowly and gently, and after a while, pulled away as he said, "We will have a baby."

"What?"

"Let’s hire a surrogacy."

"But you said...."

"Forget what I said. Let’s have a baby, Eliana."

"Really! You won’t change your mind, right?" Eliana asked cautiously, as a little hope and happiness grew in her heart.

Zach laughed softly and said "I won’t change my mind, Eli."

"So, we are going to have a baby!" Eliana said excitedly.

Zach had always knew how much Eliana wanted a child but seeing her this excited despite the video and comments made his heart to melt.

He found himself smiling as well and when Eliana hugged him, he tightened his hold on her and whispered "I love you so much, Eliana and never you dare doubt that. And also, the next time you mention divorce to me, I am going to give you a punishment, you will never forget."

Eliana nodded and she found herself crying again and this time it was for a different reason. Finally, both she and Zach are going to become parents.
