Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 372: The Sun Got Grabbed
Garion stood still for a moment, arms crossed, eyes moving slowly across his disciples.
He was thinking carefully.
The first match mattered.
Before he could speak, two voices cut in at the same time.
"Master."
Garion looked up.
Rovric and Ragric had both stepped forward.
"Let one of us go first," Ragric said, his tone sharp but controlled.
Rovric nodded. "Yes."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Ragric glanced at the twins, then back at Garion.
"The twins, Dahlia, and the others," Ragric continued, "they’ve been with you from the start."
He gestured loosely. "They went through the demon world. They went on your adventures."
"They already showed you their strength," Rovric added.
Rynor clicked his tongue. "Hey."
Rynar smirked. "Got a problem with that?"
Ragric ignored them. "But we’re different."
Rovric straightened his posture. "We’re newer. We trained just as hard."
He clenched his fist. "We want to prove ourselves."
Garion studied them for a moment.
Their stance was firm. Their eyes were steady.
"...I see," Garion said.
He nodded once.
"Alright," he said. "Rovric, you go first."
Rovric’s lips curved into a sharp grin.
He nodded. "Understood."
The twins stepped closer.
Rynor crossed his arms. "Don’t lose."
Rynar added, "That’d be embarrassing."
Rovric let out a short scoff.
"Lose?" he repeated.
He turned toward them, eyes burning with confidence.
"Don’t underestimate me, twins," Rovric said. "My goal hasn’t changed since the beginning."
He pointed at them with two fingers.
"To beat you two," he said bluntly. "The biggest troublemakers of the Revalis Clan."
Rynor laughed. "Still holding onto that?"
"And," Rovric continued, voice hardening, "to avenge my loss in the Revalis yearly tournament."
The twins’ smiles widened.
Rynar cracked his neck. "Then show us."
Rynor grinned. "Let’s see how strong you got after entering God Gym."
Rovric turned toward the arena.
"I will," he said.
The Solmira member had already been waiting for him.
"So you’re the member of the so-called God Gym," the Solmira cultivator said, looking Rovric up and down. "I’ve heard rumors."
He narrowed his eyes. "I wonder if you’re really as strong as they say."
Rovric stopped a few steps away and smirked.
"Yeah," he replied, rolling his shoulders once. "I was wondering the same thing."
He lifted his chin slightly. "Can a Grand Clan member like you really match us?"
Murmurs spread through the arena stands.
Rovric continued without hesitation.
"The strongest sect in this world," he said plainly. "God Gym."
Then he raised one finger and crooked it toward the Solmira member.
"Come here," Rovric said. "Baby chick."
A sharp intake of breath came from the Solmira side.
The Solmira cultivator’s face darkened instantly.
"...You dare mock the Solmira Clan?" he snapped.
His mana surged.
"I’ll make you regret that," he said coldly.
He lifted his hand, sunlight gathering around his palm.
The light compressed, sharp, and focused, forming a blazing spear.
"[Solar Lance]."
"Let’s see if you can take this," the Solmira member said.
His eyes flashed.
"With my mana trait, [Solar], my strength is increased by half."
The sunlight above reacted instantly.
"And under the sun," he continued, "my power more than doubles again."
He threw the lance forward in a straight line toward Rovric.
Several God Gym disciples narrowed their eyes.
"That’s strong," Arden muttered.
"Not bad," Ragric said quietly.
The lance reached Rovric.
And Rovric caught it.
His hand snapped forward and closed around the glowing weapon.
The impact sent a sharp sound through the arena. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
The Solmira side froze.
"...He caught it?" someone whispered.
Rovric looked down at his palm.
Light burned against his skin, heat biting into his flesh.
The pain was real. His hand smoked slightly.
"Hmm," Rovric said.
He tightened his grip.
Muscles in his arm bulged as veins stood out clearly. His stance lowered, feet digging into the arena floor.
The [Solar Lance] trembled.
Then cracks spread through the light.
Rovric clenched his fist.
The lance shattered into fragments of light that scattered and faded in the air.
Silence followed.
The Solmira member stared, eyes wide.
"...Impossible."
Rovric shook his hand once, rolling his wrist.
"Yeah," he said. "That stings a bit."
He looked back up, eyes sharp and excited.
"But that wasn’t enough to defeat me."
He raised his fist slowly.
"Come on," Rovric said. "Use more power."
His grin widened.
"Or is this all the sun gives you?"
The Solmira member’s face twisted.
"...Damn it."
The sunlight around him flared harder.
He lifted his hand and condensed the light once more.
[Solar Lance].
This time, he didn’t throw it.
Instead, he gripped the blazing lance tightly, letting the light crawl up his arm.
"Fine," he said through clenched teeth. "Then let’s do it the traditional way."
He bent his knees slightly.
The light under his feet exploded.
[Solar Step].
His body shot forward in a flash, the distance between them disappearing almost instantly.
The lance was pulled back, aimed straight at Rovric’s chest.
Gasps came from the stands.
"He’s fast!"
"That burst..."
The Solmira member’s eyes were sharp now. Focused. No hesitation.
"I’ll pierce you in one strike!" he shouted
Rovric smiled.
He was enjoying this.
"There it is," Rovric said quietly.
He planted his feet and raised his hand, fingers open.
His body shifted slightly, shoulders relaxed, and stance stable.
The Solmira member closed in, the lance blazing brighter as it neared its target.
At the last moment, Rovric moved.
He slapped the lance aside with his palm.
The impact echoed loudly through the arena.
Heat washed over Rovric’s arm, burning his skin.
His muscles tensed, veins bulging as he absorbed the force.
The Solmira member’s eyes widened.
"He blocked it?!"
Rovric stepped forward immediately.
He twisted his waist and drove his fist forward.
The Solmira member barely managed to cross his arms and coat them with light.
[Solar Edge].
The punch landed.
A dull, heavy sound rang out.
The Solmira member was sent sliding backward across the arena floor, boots scraping as he struggled to stay upright.
He stumbled, then barely stopped himself, breathing hard.
His arms trembled.
"...What kind of body is that?" he muttered.
Rovric shook his hand once, rolling his shoulder.
"Not bad," he said. "Your light hits hard."
He stepped forward again, cracking his neck.
"But you rely too much on it."
The Solmira member tightened his grip on the lance, sweat running down his face.
"I haven’t lost yet," he snapped.
He surged forward again, sunlight bursting under his feet with another [Solar Step], swinging the lance wide this time, aiming for Rovric’s side.
Rovric lowered his stance.
"Good," he said. "That’s more like it."
His eyes sharpened.
"Now show me everything."
The crowd held its breath.
