Chapter 407: Confidence or Suicide?

"Enough!"

Vargan’s voice boomed across the plain.

He strode between his warriors, grabbing one by the shoulder and shoving him back.

"We are not here to fight and bark like street dogs."

the Vulkran warrior friend.

"But patriarch... they mocked us for being stupid and..."

Vargan glared at him...

"Do you really want to fight?"

the warrior nodded vigorously.

"Yes, patriarch!"

Vargan then shouted.

"Then shut up and waited for the fight later. If you bark now, you are just trying to be like a dog more than a true warrior."

He jabbed his thumb toward the center of the arena and grinned.

"In there, you can release your power and show everyone just how strong we are."

The Vulkrans quieted slightly.

"So don’t you dare bark like a dog here; you are just embarrassing us."

The warriors nodded.

"Yes, patriarch! We’re sorry."

On the other side, Sarona stepped forward as well.

"Lower your weapons!"

The frost under them began to fade.

One of them hesitated and asked.

"Matriarch, they insulted..."

Sarions didn’t raise her voice.

"We are the elite of the Shivera clan..."

She turned toward the Vulkran clan for a moment, then turned back.

"If you act just now... you are just the same as them, just a common brawler, but who are we?"

All of the girls shouted at the same time.

"We are the Shivera elites!"

Sariona nodded as she walked a few steps forward, stopping in front of them.

"If you wish to prove your superiority... do it in the arena."

The Shivera Clan elites nodded and realized what they had done wrong.

And now they were ready to prove their worth in the arena later.

---

A low rumble rolled across the plain as a flying ship descended.

All eyes turned.

The God Gym group stepped down calmly.

And when they saw the people who stepped down... All sides quieted for a second.

Only seven people appeared from the flying ship.

The Vulkran side shouted.

"What is this?"

"Where’s the rest of them?"

"You call this a team?"

One Vulkran warrior laughed loudly. "Are they scared?"

Across from them, Shivera disciples narrowed their eyes.

"Only seven?" one muttered.

"That is arrogance," another said coldly.

The tension rose again.

From the God Gym side, Raviel walked forward with steady steps.

Aveline followed beside him, posture calm.

Rachel stood slightly behind, hands folded gently.

Behind them were the four women.

Rika stood relaxed but steady.

Rena stretched her shoulders like she was warming up for a run.

Azalira looked around with bright curiosity.

Aurelia stood quietly, calm smile on her face.

The Vulkrans grew louder.

"Seven people?!"

"You think we’re weak?!"

One Vulkran warrior slammed his foot down, activating a brief flare of [Flame Burst].

"Send the rest!"

On the Shivera side, frost crept slowly along the ground again.

"Overconfidence," a Shivera elder muttered.

Vargan frowned slightly.

Sarona’s eyes narrowed just a bit.

They exchanged a glance.

They knew God Gym was strong.

But this?

Vargan muttered under his breath, "Are they serious?"

Sarona’s voice was quiet. "This is either confidence... or something else."

The two clan leaders stepped forward together.

The Vulkrans and Shivera both fell slightly quieter as their leaders moved.

Vargan stopped a few steps away from Raviel.

Sarona stood beside him.

Vargan lowered his voice.

"Are you sure about this?"

Sarona added calmly, "Only five fighters?"

Raviel corrected her calmly.

"Not five."

He gestured slightly behind him.

"Only four."

Vargan blinked. "Four?"

Sarona’s eyes sharpened.

"And that one?"

Raviel answered plainly.

"That one," he said, nodding toward Rachel, "is our elder."

Rachel gave a gentle smile and a small nod.

Vargan stared at her for a second.

"She’s not fighting?"

Rachel spoke softly.

"Not unless necessary."

The Vulkran side began shouting again when they realized.

"Four?!"

"They sent four?!"

"Are we being mocked?!"

A Shivera disciple’s voice cut through the noise.

"Or tested."

Rena stepped forward slightly, hands on her hips.

"We’re not mocking anyone."

Rika nodded calmly. "We’re here to fight properly."

Azalira tilted her head, smiling faintly.

"If you’re nervous, we can wait while you bring more people."

Several Vulkrans growled loudly.

Aurelia placed a hand lightly on Azalira’s arm.

"Play nice," she murmured.

Vargan scratched his beard roughly.

"You’re sending four... against two full clans."

Raviel’s voice remained steady.

"We’re sending four representatives."

Sarona studied the four women closely.

"Are they your strongest?" she asked quietly.

Raviel answered honestly.

"No."

That made both Vargan and Sarona pause.

The wind swept across the plain.

Vargan’s eyes narrowed.

"You’re bold."

Raviel’s expression didn’t change.

"We’re confident."

Sarona turned her gaze back to the arena.

"Very well."

She looked at Vargan.

"It seems we are being measured."

Vargan gave a rough laugh.

"Fine."

He stepped back and raised his voice.

"You heard them!"

The Vulkrans went silent.

"They brought four!"

The crowd murmured angrily.

Vargan grinned widely.

"Then don’t lose to four!"

A few Vulkrans roared in response.

On the Shivera side, Sarona spoke calmly.

"You heard them."

Her voice was not loud, but it carried clearly.

All the Shivera disciples nodded at once.

They stood straighter. Frost settled under their feet, but no one moved out of line.

Across the arena, Raviel stepped forward slightly.

"So," he said evenly, "what about the battle style?"

The Vulkran warriors muttered among themselves.

"Just send them one by one!"

"Let’s crush them fast!"

Vargan scratched his beard and looked toward Sarona.

Sarona nodded once.

Raviel tilted his head slightly.

"One by one will take too long."

Vargan glanced at him. "You’re in a hurry?"

Raviel shook his head. "No."

He paused briefly, then said,

"Why don’t we make this battle royale?"

The Vulkran side went quiet.

The Shivera side shifted slightly.

Rena blinked behind Raviel. "Oh?"

Rika’s eyes sharpened.

Azalira’s smile widened.

Aurelia simply breathed in slowly.

Vargan frowned. "Battle royale?"

Sarona’s gaze narrowed. "All at once?"

"Yes," Raviel replied calmly.

"One by one is too slow. Let’s settle it properly."

Vargan folded his arms. "You sure?"

He leaned slightly forward.

"That makes your four fighters more exposed."

Sarona added evenly, "They will be surrounded."

Raviel did not hesitate.

"No problem."

The Vulkrans murmured again.

Sarona watched him carefully.

"You understand the risk."

Raviel nodded.

"It will even show your disciples how strong we are."

That made both Vargan and Sarona pause.
