Heroine Hunts Heroines-Chapter 129
Tens of thousands of monsters clad in black uniforms were marching northward through Seoul.
This was a strike force meticulously assembled by Yoo Eun-ha, consisting only of combat-capable monsters.
Unable to act recklessly within the city, they moved with orderly precision, equipped with magical rifles, resembling a disciplined military formation.
Their appearance was far closer to that of Hunters or soldiers than villains, piquing the curiosity of onlookers. Citizens watched the monstrous army’s procession with fascination.
Most notably, while the Baekhwa Sect had previously carried banners emblazoned with a dragon during their battles against the guild coalition, they now marched under the Taegukgi, Korea’s national flag.
In other words, the Baekhwa Sect was now aligning itself with Korea.
This revelation was nothing short of astonishing.
“What’s this? Why is the Baekhwa Sect carrying the Taegukgi?”
“Looks like the rumors are true. I have to record this.”
“Wow, there are even kids as young as my grandchildren in there.”
Following the army were hundreds of combat golems, adding to the spectacle.
For the citizens, it was as awe-inspiring as watching the guild coalition’s parade.
Even if they were villains, these were Koreans marching under the Taegukgi.
The sight of the Baekhwa Sect carrying the national flag was enough to change public perception of the monsters.
“Go, big sisters and brothers!”
“Fighting, hyungs!”
“Stay strong, Baekhwa Sect!”
Just as they had cheered for the guild coalition earlier, the citizens now directed their applause toward the Baekhwa Sect’s monstrous army.
The monsters, who had lived their lives confined to erosion zones and scraping by at the bottom of society, had expected scorn and contempt upon entering Seoul for the first time.
But instead, they were bewildered by the cheers of the citizens and began waving back hesitantly.
Buoyed by the support of the people, the morale of the monstrous army surged, and they continued their march northward.
It was a moment when monsters began to integrate into Korean society.

“What the hell? Why is Hwangryong’s body cut in half?”
Yoo Eun-ha, or rather Yongyong, was utterly confused.
She had just returned after exhausting the elven court mages’ mana to move Magnute’s massive body, only to find Hwangryong reduced to a half-crippled state.
Was it always this much of a wreck? She tapped her phone, seeking answers.
[“Breaking news! A mysterious magical missile has inflicted significant damage on Hwangryong. Mana detection by the Association identifies the missile launch site as Songdo, with speculation that Baekhwa, leader of the Baekhwa Sect, was responsible for the attack.”]
Since this was wartime, the battle between the Hunter Air Force and Hwangryong was being broadcast live.
A recorded segment showed a magical missile from Songdo striking Hwangryong with a decisive blow.
Seriously?
“That missile did that to Hwangryong?”
“What the hell was in your… uh, special bomb to knock something that big around like that?”
Reyna spoke with a face full of disbelief.
“It’s not a ‘special bomb.’ And anyway, how would a woman even have—no, never mind! The point is, this is our chance.”
Yoo Eun-ha wasn’t sure how Hwangryong had ended up like this, but if it was this weakened, then Magnute should be able to handle it.
Time to put Magnute to good use. At the very least, a cleanup job should be manageable.
With that in mind, she returned to the penthouse, riding atop Magnute.
As she tried to park Magnute on the rooftop, she noticed the heroines preparing for battle. She waved at them.
“Hey, everyone! Your darling has arrived!”
“Yoo Eun-ha?”
It had been a while since she’d seen them, and they all looked more stunning than ever.
“So, that’s the dragon—Magnute, or whatever?”
The shy Magnute simply nodded, failing to properly introduce himself to the others, and instead circled awkwardly in the air.
Unable to let this slide, Eun-ha gave his rump a firm smack, finally prompting him to greet the heroines.
But there were more pressing matters to attend to.
“By the way, who fired that weird missile? That thing wouldn’t work unless it had my blood mixed into it.”
“Ray was messing around and pressed a bunch of buttons.”
“What the—”
Our little Ray had carried the team.
Ray was currently nestled in Choi Si-woo’s arms, fast asleep.
So, by sheer chance, her random button pressing had launched the missile that reduced Hwangryong to this state?
While things had turned out fine this time, it could just as easily have led to Songdo being obliterated.
“Anyway, there’s no time to relax. Choi Si-woo, take Reyna and this guy and go finish off Hwangryong. I’ll take Han Suji and Rosemary and head to Pyongyang right now.”
“Got it.”
“And me?”
There was only one role for Rachel.
“Look after Ray. A mother needs to watch her child. We got lucky this time, but if left unsupervised, those missiles could easily land on our allies next.”
This time, Rachel didn’t need to be brought along.
Not bringing her had inadvertently led to Hwangryong’s current state, so it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.
“Fine.”
“Maman, do I just need to take care of that thing?”
Magnute’s insistence on calling her “Maman,” even in front of the other heroines, elicited sharp, disapproving glares from them.
Only after pacifying the heroines was she able to put Magnute to work.
“Do your best.”
“Got it!”
Whether it was Yoo Jin-seok or other guild members fighting elsewhere, Seo Ji-yeon was probably struggling right now.
Even with her extraordinary abilities, she was still human, with limited mana. Early dominance in battle wouldn’t last forever.
That’s why it was Eun-ha’s job to swoop in and save the day in style.

Pyongyang
With Hwangryong trapped and half-crippled in the West Sea, Chinese Hunters surged southward like an unstoppable tidal wave.
Meanwhile, the Korean military had fortified barricades in Pyongyang, preparing for defense.
The Chinese Hunters' assault was ferocious, to say the least.
“Damn it! They won’t die!”
“Are those zombies? What the hell, why are there so many of them?”
No matter how many bullets they fired, the enemy didn’t fall.
Grenades were useless. Even the few remaining tanks, relics from before the Cataclysm, were ineffective—reduced to mere barricades.
But then—
Tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat!
“Kill them all!”
“Long live Baekhwa Sect!”
The Baekhwa Sect disciples appeared, brandishing the Taegukgi, shouting war cries as they flanked the Chinese Hunter army.
Golems unleashed magical artillery, bombarding the enemy indiscriminately. Though the Chinese Hunters, empowered by the Shards of Sin, were not easy to kill, the Guild Coalition launched an assault from the right flank, temporarily halting the Chinese offensive.
However, the routes into Pyongyang were numerous.
During Korea’s brief recapture of Pyongyang, many roads had been built to hunt down monsters in the area.
These roads, created for offensive strategies rather than defense, were now left open, providing pathways for the Chinese Hunters to pour in.
“Advance into Pyongyang!”
“Kill every last Korean bastard!”
The problem? These smaller paths were already under the control of Guild Masters from the Guild Coalition.
The Chinese Hunters were oblivious to this fact.
KRRRRRAAASH!
A massive chunk of steel came crashing down on the advancing Chinese Hunters.
Somewhere along the path, a blond-haired man stood, rolling a steel rod across his palm. He laughed in disbelief.
“Wow, these rats just keep crawling out of their holes.”
Shin Ji-woon of the Taehwa Guild glared at the crushed and mangled corpses of Chinese Hunters beneath the debris.
But in the blink of an eye, the bodies disappeared.
Beside Shin Ji-woon, Seo Ji-yeon formed a camera-like shape with her fingers.
“I heard Hwangryong’s half-crippled now. Let’s wrap this up quickly and move on.”
“What, aren’t you going to Yoo Jin-seok?”
Shin Ji-woon’s comment made Seo Ji-yeon scowl.
She hadn’t been involved with Yoo Jin-seok for some time now, but she didn’t feel the need to explain.
“In war, efficiency is key. We can’t concentrate all our forces in one place.”
“Do you think I’d lose to those pathetic scum?”
A steel rod floating in midair came crashing down again, impaling one of the Chinese Hunters and shattering the Shard of Sin embedded in them.
“Guh!”
Seo Ji-yeon scanned her surroundings with a sharp gaze, then formed her finger-camera again and began snapping away.
Click!
“Still, isn’t two better than one?”
Click! Click!
“That’s why I’m saying, let’s clean up these bastards together.”
Using her camera ability, Seo Ji-yeon deleted sections of the surrounding terrain, reshaping it into a jug-like enclosure.
The advancing Chinese Hunters would soon be trapped by steel rods and the modified terrain, ensuring their demise.
“Hah. You really set the stage perfectly for me to strike. Sometimes, your camera power is really convenient.”

Choi Si-woo & Reyna
High above the West Sea, Magnute, the black dragon, faced off against Hwangryong. On Magnute’s head were Choi Si-woo and Reyna, preparing for battle.
The Hunter Air Force had long since retreated, leaving the pair free to fight without constraints.
However, Choi Si-woo couldn’t help but feel a nagging curiosity. Magnute, brought in by Eun-ha, was supposed to be reliable, but his demeanor seemed overly submissive, almost entirely dependent on Eun-ha.
Was this dragon truly fit to face Hwangryong?
“Hey, are you sure you can take down that Hwangryong?”
“Of course! Who do you think I am? I’m Magnute, the Black Dragon!”
At least Magnute still had some pride as a dragon.
“Anyway, we need to finish this quickly. Hwangryong’s distracted from Eun-ha’s… I mean, the magic bomb, so now’s our chance.”
Looking at Hwangryong, it was clear the wounds weren’t healing—the burnt flesh around the injury made it impossible to recover easily.
“Grrraaaaahhhhh!”
“Damn it, it’s regained its senses! It’s charging up a breath attack! Magnute, can you stop it?”
As Choi Si-woo shouted, Magnute responded by unleashing a breath attack of his own.
CRAAAAACK—BOOOOOOM!
Hwangryong’s breath was immediately neutralized by Magnute’s fiery blast.
Magnute, who had assumed Hwangryong was a stronger foe because even Eun-ha had sought help, gained confidence as the opposing dragon’s breath was overpowered.
“What can a pathetic worm like that do against me?”
FWOOSH! FWOOSH! FWOOSH!
Reyna’s Corrosive Arrows rained down on Hwangryong, targeting the already exposed wounds left from the earlier missile strike.
“GUUUUAAAAAAHHHHH!”
“Honestly, isn’t it weaker than we expected?”
“Definitely. Sure, Hwangryong’s condition is bad, but we’re also pretty strong.”
As Magnute flew closer to Hwangryong, Choi Si-woo swung his Swords of Lust, slicing through the dragon’s thick scales.
Choi Si-woo was well aware of the power granted by his Lust Authority, though he had only ever used it effectively during his time with Eun-ha. Against Hwangryong, he wasn’t sure it would compare. Even the strength he’d possessed as a Divine Sword wielder had been reset when Lust became his primary authority.
Yet, here he was, leaving deep wounds on Hwangryong with every swing. Sin truly was potent, no matter how twisted.
“Of course, it’s partly thanks to Reyna being so strong.”
Reyna alternated between her White Spirit Mode and Corrosive Mode, launching arrows that continuously tore away at Hwangryong’s flesh.
Each time Hwangryong tried to heal, her arrows disrupted the process, leaving the dragon’s wounds exposed and bleeding.
Though it retaliated with a breath attack, Magnute blocked it every time, rendering Hwangryong increasingly desperate.
Despite its critical condition, the battle raged on for over 30 minutes.
“Let’s finish this by cutting it completely in half. I can’t believe we were afraid of this overgrown snake. Magnute, get closer! I’ll restrain it with the Swords, and you blast its head off with everything you’ve got!”
At Choi Si-woo’s command, Magnute twisted and dodged another breath attack, closing in under Hwangryong’s jaw.
“Is this close enough?”

As soon as Magnute spoke, Choi Si-woo extended the Swords of Lust, wrapping them tightly around Hwangryong’s already battered body.
SLASH! CRUNCH!
The tattered remains of Hwangryong’s torso gave way as the blades dug into its wounds, finally severing its body in two.
The dragon’s head and upper torso plummeted into the sea, while its lower half, including its tail, splashed into the waters below.
“GRAAAAAAGHH!”
Even so, Hwangryong’s upper body thrashed violently, its mouth gaping wide in one final act of defiance.
Was it preparing another breath attack?
“This crazy bastard still wants to fight?”
“Leave it to me!”
FWOOSH! FWOOSH!
Reyna, back in her regular mode, unleashed a barrage of Spirit Arrows, immobilizing Hwangryong.
Taking the opening, Magnute gathered a massive breath in his maw.
“I don’t need your help to finish this! I’ll take down Hwangryong myself!”
A torrent of black fire erupted from Magnute, enveloping Hwangryong completely.
BOOOOOOM!
Hwangryong’s head disintegrated under the overwhelming heat, leaving nothing but ash.
At last, Hwangryong was defeated in the skies over the West Sea.
This victory, hard-fought and decisive, reignited hope in the despairing hearts of Seoul’s citizens.
