His After The Heartbreak (BL)-Chapter 16: Canceled Class
Chapter 16 - Canceled Class
Chapter 16
Logan's POV
The sharp, insistent ringing of my alarm pulled me out of sleep. I groaned, blindly reaching for my phone on the nightstand. Squinting against the brightness, I saw the time—and immediately sat up.
Shit.
I was going to be late for school.
I might be a jerk, but I never messed around when it came to school. Rolling out of bed, I rubbed my face, trying to shake off the drowsiness, and forced myself to move. Within seconds, I was on my feet and heading straight to the bathroom.
The cold water hitting my skin did the trick. In record time, I was showered and dried off. I threw on my clothes, running a hand through my damp hair before grabbing my car keys, my bag, and my phone. No time to waste.
By the time I came downstairs, the scent of fresh coffee and breakfast filled the dining room. The maid was setting the table, and my father was already eating, his eyes lifting to me as I entered.
"You're up late," he noted, sipping his coffee.
"I don't have time for breakfast. I'm already late," I said, adjusting the strap of my bag.
"You need to eat something," my dad insisted, giving me a pointed look.
"I'll grab something from the cafeteria. Right now, I need to get to school," I replied.
He leaned back in his chair, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Logan, have you forgotten that I have shares in your school? Even if you're late, no one would dare say a word to you."
I huffed out a short laugh. "Oh, trust me, I haven't forgotten. You remind me of it every single day." I grabbed an apple from the table just to satisfy him. "I just don't want to miss class."
With that, I tossed him a half-smile and walked out of the house.
"Do not forget that we would be going to the boutique later today so we could pick our outfits for Declan wedding." I heard him said from behind and I rolled my eyes
Sliding into my car, I wasted no time starting the engine. The drive to school was smooth, and in about twenty minutes, I was pulling into the parking lot. As I stepped out, students bustled around, heading to their classes like any other morning.
Or so I thought.
The murmurs started before I even reached the building. At first, I ignored them, but soon, I caught bits and pieces of conversations floating through the air.
"Did you see the video? Alexis slept with someone else—less than a week after dating Logan."
"And right after she dumped Tyler too. She literally did the same thing she was preaching about. What a hypocrite."
"So all that 'cheating is unforgivable' talk was just bullshit? She couldn't even last a week without spreading her legs for someone else."
"Imagine being Logan right now. Man, I'd be embarrassed as hell."
I slowed down, my brows furrowing.
Wait.
What the hell was happening?
Who cheated? Was there proof that Alexis actually cheated on Tyler?
My mind started racing with questions, but I forced myself to keep walking. I needed to check my phone. Pulling it out, I tapped into the group chat, only to be bombarded with notifications. Hundreds of them.
My name was tagged over and over again.
I scrolled quickly, looking for some kind of explanation.
Was Alexis going around lying again? Just like she lied about Tyler cheating on her?
If she was trying to pull that stunt on me, she was in for a rude awakening. Unlike Tyler, I wasn't the type to stay quiet. She would regret dragging my name into this mess.
Still, I needed to see what was going on.
Opening the school blog, I was hit with bold headlines.
"Logan Carter: New boyfriend to Alexis after her breakup with Tyler—But Alexis was caught on video having a 'good time' with someone who definitely isn't Logan Carter. How will Carter react?"
"Will Logan break up with her? Or will he forgive her—something she refused to do for Tyler?"
"Who's the real hypocrite here?"
No wonder people were looking at me. No wonder my name was being thrown around.
I scrolled further, searching for the video they were all talking about. That was when I realized—this wasn't new.
The post had gone up the previous night.
No wonder I hadn't seen it. I had been too distracted, too focused on my own thoughts. Between thinking about Tyler, texting him an apology, and waiting for a reply that never came, I hadn't even bothered to check the group chat or the blog.
Now, I was caught in the middle of a scandal I had nothing to do with.
I clicked on the video.
A warning popped up: "Restricted: Viewers under 18 cannot watch this video."
That made me pause.
Just how bad was this?
Maybe it was just Alexis drinking with someone. Or a playful, flirty video that people were overreacting to.
I exhaled sharply and hit play.
And instantly regretted it.
Alexis was riding a guy like her life depended on it.
I blinked, stunned.
My mouth parted slightly in surprise.
Well.
She was a good rider.
I let out a short chuckle, shaking my head. Two points for skill, I guess.
The guy's face wasn't visible, but that didn't matter. The damage was already done.
People must have assumed we were dating—that was why my name got dragged into this mess.
Alexis really couldn't keep her legs closed, huh?
Not that I cared.
We weren't together. I had just used her, the same way she had tried to use Tyler . I felt no anger, no betrayal—just mild amusement and maybe a little pity.
For Tyler.
Because I knew he was going to see this too.
I needed to text him again. Even if he hadn't responded to my first message, I had to let him know I was sorry.
Shaking off the irritation bubbling inside me, I locked my phone.
People were going to talk. They always did. But if anyone dared to use me for clout, I'd make sure they regretted it.
Pulling my phone back out, I typed a quick message:
"Keep my name out of your mouths. Chase clout with the person who actually deserves it—Alexis."
Updated from freewёbnoνel.com.
I posted it and pocketed my phone.
By the time I reached my locker, an announcement echoed through the speakers.
"School is canceled for the day. You have ten minutes to evacuate the building."
The hallway erupted into chaos. Students rushed to grab their things, some bolting for the exits like their lives depended on it.
I just stood there, watching the madness unfold.
I had rushed to school for nothing.
Great.
Shaking my head, I slung my bag over my shoulder and started walking—slowly, because unlike everyone else, I wasn't in a hurry.
No one would dare tell me to speed up.
I was almost at the exit when someone stepped in front of me.
Alexis.
Her face was pale, her eyes filled with desperation. "Logan, please, listen. I was framed! That video—it's old! Someone leaked it on purpose! You have to believe me!"
I stared at her blankly. "Who told you I cared?"
She blinked, looking caught off guard. "W-what?"
"We weren't dating, Alexis. You didn't do anything to me. So keep your apologies. Go give them to the person who actually deserves them—Tyler."
Her lips parted, but no words came out.
"And just so we're clear," I added, smirking, "that kiss we had? A one-time thing. Never happening again."
She flinched.
"And I must say , Alexis. You are a very good rider."
"You ride like your life depends on it."
"Now I know why Tyler dated you for so long ."
