His After The Heartbreak (BL)-Chapter 17: With someone else
Chapter 17 - With someone else
Chapter 17- With someone else
Logan's POV
I didn't look back as I walked past Alexis, leaving her standing there—alone, just like she deserved.
I got to my car, yanked the door open, and slid into the driver's seat. My fingers tapped impatiently against the steering wheel as I exhaled sharply.
Just as I was about to start the engine, a loud knock on my windshield made me jerk in annoyance.
What now?
I clenched my jaw, my patience wearing dangerously thin. Could people just leave me the hell alone for once? I glanced up, and when I saw who it was, I sighed. Liam.
Rolling down the window, I leaned back against my seat, arms crossed. "What do you want?"
Liam grinned, leaning against my car like he had all the time in the world. "Relax, man. Just wanted to invite you to a party at my place tonight."
I arched a brow. "And what makes you think I'd come?"
Liam shrugged, smirking. "I just have a feeling you will."
I scoffed. "Well, that's too bad. Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm not coming."
Liam pressed his hands together in mock pleading. "Come on, Logan. You need to come. It's gonna be fun, I swear."
I gave him a blank stare. "That's supposed to convince me?"
His smirk widened. "Alright, alright. How about this—there'll be a ton of hot girls there. And—" He paused for effect, eyes gleaming mischievously. "—Tyler's coming too."
That caught my attention.
My fingers tightened around the steering wheel, but I kept my expression neutral. "Tyler's coming?"
"Yup," Liam said, nodding. "I made sure to invite both him and Alexis. You know they're gonna fight over their little cheating scandal. It's gonna be one hell of a show."
For a split second, I hesitated. A few hours ago, I wouldn't have cared about this stupid party. But now? Now I wanted to go. Not because of the girls, not because of Liam's so-called fun, but because of Tyler.
Would he really show up?
I exhaled through my nose. "I'll think about it," I muttered. "If I get back early from where I'm going with my dad, maybe I'll stop by. No promises."
Liam grinned like he'd already won. "That's good enough for me! Oh, and bring some liquor when you come."
He clapped me on the shoulder before walking off, and I rolled my window back up.
Damn it.
Why was I even considering this?
Shoving the thought aside, I started the engine and drove home.

The second I walked through the front door, I spotted my dad in the living room, adjusting his suit jacket.
"Where are you going?" I asked, not really expecting a full answer.
He barely looked at me as he checked his watch. "The boutique. They called to let me know the collection I wanted is available. I need to be there in thirty minutes." He finally glanced at me. "Why are you home early?"
"School got canceled," I said, kicking off my shoes.
Dad smirked knowingly. "Did you have anything to do with that?"
He didn't answer, but the way he chuckled told me he already knew.
"Since you're here," he said, buttoning his jacket, "you're coming with me."
I frowned. "How long is this gonna take?"
"Not long."
I didn't trust that answer, but I followed him out anyway.
The moment we stepped into the boutique, my father was immediately approached by a well-dressed manager who began showing him different selections.
I, on the other hand, wasn't interested.
I stood near the entrance, hands in my pockets, watching as my dad examined different suits. I knew this wouldn't take long—twenty, maybe thirty minutes at most.
The manager eventually turned to me, holding up a collection meant for me. "Sir, we have a special line for you as well."
I barely glanced at it. "I don't need anything special. Just add it to my father's order and make it quick."
The manager hesitated. "Would you like to try it on?"
"No."
That was the end of that conversation.
I went to sit down, waiting for my dad to finish up.
Twenty minutes passed.
Thirty.
An hour.
I frowned, glancing at my phone. What the hell was taking so long?
I got up and walked around, trying to spot my father. But he wasn't in the boutique anymore.
A sharp pang of irritation shot through me. Did he leave without telling me?
I was still looking around when the manager approached me with an apologetic expression. "Sir, your father is in a meeting with the owner and some business partners. He should be done soon."
I clenched my jaw. "And he didn't think to tell me?"
The manager hesitated. "I'm sure he—"
"Just focus on your job," I cut him off coldly.
With that, I walked back to where I was sitting, trying to keep my patience in check.
Another hour passed.
Then two.
Then three.
Then four.
By this point, I was beyond pissed. I had somewhere to be, and I had told my father that. Now, it was already dark, and he still wasn't done.
Angrily, I walked to where the manager was seated and asked, "Why isn't my father back yet?"
The manager winced. "I just checked an hour ago. They were still in the meeting."
I narrowed my eyes. "Why the hell is a meeting taking this long? What are they even discussing? Or is there something else going on?"
Before the manager could answer, my father finally walked out.
The manager immediately pointed. "Sir, your father is back."
I turned, my annoyance spiking.
"Where the hell have you been?" I snapped. "Didn't you remember that I had somewhere to be hours ago?"
My father barely looked fazed. "I had a meeting."
I exhaled sharply, shaking my head. "I should have just left you here."
Without waiting for a response, I turned and stormed off to the car.
I got in, slammed the door shut, and waited for him.
Ten minutes passed.
Then twenty.
Then thirty.
I let out a frustrated groan. Was he packing up the entire boutique or what?
Just as I was about to lose my patience entirely, my father finally walked out and got into the car.
The driver started the engine, and we pulled out onto the road.
The drive back home was silent.
I was still fuming, staring out the window as the city lights blurred past.
This was supposed to be a quick trip. I had planned to take a nap before heading to the party, but that was out the window now. Thanks to my father, I had no time to rest.
Liam was going to be expecting me, and if I showed up late, he'd be all over my ass about it.
By the time we finally got home, I didn't even bother arguing with my father. I was too exhausted to pick a fight.
I'd deal with him tomorrow.
Without another word, I ran upstairs, grabbed a fresh change of clothes, and jumped into the shower.
The cold water did little to cool my frustration.
By the time I stepped out, I was already focused on getting to the party. I threw on something casual but party-appropriate, checked my reflection once, and headed downstairs.
I made my way to the alcohol section, grabbing three bottles of liquor before heading toward the door.
Just as I was about to leave, my father called my name.
I didn't even turn to look at him. "Whatever it is, we'll talk about it tomorrow. I'm already late."
Without waiting for a response, I stepped outside, got into my car, and started the engine.
The thirty-minute drive felt longer than it actually was.
By the time I arrived, the party was already in full swing—music blasting, people laughing, alcohol flowing.
I stepped inside, and before I could even take in the scene, Liam appeared out of nowhere.
I blinked. "Jesus. Are you a damn ghost?"
Liam just laughed, taking the liquor from me. "You made it!"
I barely heard him. My eyes were already scanning the room.
And then—
I saw him.
TYLER.
With a woman.
Holding hands.
Smiling.
