Chapter 547: Good attitude

Gina’s return home was greeted by Pablo and Darius who still seemed to have many bruises on his body, Darius was the one who seemed to have the worst injuries. His left hand was still bandaged using a support cloth attached to his neck.

"W..what happened?" Gina stammered, her eyes welling with tears as she looked at Pablo and Darius who were still sitting on the sofa.

Seeing the arrival of the mistress, Darius and Pablo immediately tried to get up from where they were sitting. But Gina’s loud scream made them both cancel their intentions.

"What about you guys? You didn’t just have an accident, did you?" asked Gina frantically.

Darius smiled. "We’re all right, madam."

"No, you’re not! If you’re okay your hands won’t be supported like that," said Gina curtly.

"We only had a few minor injuries, madam. This kind of thing used to happen to us," said Pablo, not wanting to lose.

Gina narrowed her eyes, digesting the words Pablo and Darius had just said. Although she is not very familiar with her husband’s men, Gina feels that currently the two injured men are lying. Gina slowly turned her face towards Massimo, Gina stared at Massimo in silence.

"Why are you looking at me like this, honey?"

"Is there something you want to say to me?" asked Gina back without changing her expression.

Massimo gulped. "Say what, I don’t understand where you’re talking, honey."

Gina put her left hand on her waist, with a sharp gaze Gina alternately looked at everyone in front of her. "I’m a person who hates being lied to the most, so don’t try to hide anything from me. Because believe me, if I ever find out the truth you’re hiding then.."

"Honey." Massimo immediately cut off Gina’s words. "We can talk about everything."

"Then talk," said Gina curtly.

Massimo moistened his dry lips with his wet tongue. "Okay let’s talk, but let’s sit down first. You’re pregnant, it’s not good for a pregnant woman to stand for too long."

Without opening her lips, Gina rushed to the sofa and immediately sat quietly staring intently at Massimo who was still standing. Realizing that he was being watched by Gina, Massimo immediately walked over to the sofa and sat beside Gina obediently.

From where he stood Martin was trying his best not to laugh, seeing how his master was so obedient to his wife made Martin amused. Now that his master’s ferocity has disappeared, it seems that the savage mountain lion has found its handler.

"So how about it, who wants to talk first?" Gina said slowly starting the conversation, her green eyes staring at Massimo, Pablo, Darius and Martin who had just joined them with a fairyless cold gaze. An angry pregnant woman looks very horrifying.

silence.

No one dared to answer Gina’s words, neither Massimo nor his men still kept their lips tightly shut.

Gina, who was starting to run out of patience, took a deep breath. "No one wants to talk?"

"It’s just a small misunderstanding, dear. And everything is settled well," answered Massimo quickly.

Gina raised an eyebrow. "Misunderstanding?"

"Yeah..."

"Then tell me how the misunderstanding happened, I want to know," asked Gina again, she was not satisfied to hear Massimo’s words which did not provide clear information.

"Honey..."

"Darius... Pablo... don’t you want to talk?" Gina interrupted Massimo’s words by mentioning the names of Darius and Pablo, two people who were currently injured.

Simultaneously, Darius and Pablo raised their faces to look at Gina who was also looking at the two of them with a look full of intimidation. Having no other choice, Massimo finally told Gina what really happened to Darius and Pablo. As Massimo spoke, Gina did not open her lips at all. She became a good listener by not interrupting Massimo’s words. Gina was calming her rumbling heart.

Gina really couldn’t believe Massimo could do such a cruel thing to a subordinate who was so loyal to him, someone who cared so much for him.

"I was really angry at Darius who left secretly, I thought Darius had betrayed me. That’s why I immediately gave orders to my other subordinates to teach him a lesson," said Massimo quietly, full of regret. "Had I known that Darius’ purpose at that time was to help us, I definitely wouldn’t have done that."

"Then Pablo?"

"Pablo was hurt too because he protected Darius," said Massimo curtly.

Although Massimo did not explain in detail, Gina understood where Massimo was talking. Looking back at Darius and Pablo’s current condition, Gina could imagine how bad they were two weeks ago when Massimo beat them mercilessly.

"Who do you want to call, honey?" asked Massimo carefully to Gina who was taking her cell phone out of her bag.

"Police!"

"Are you serious, honey?"

Gina shifted her gaze from her phone screen to Massimo. "Of course not, I’m calling Thomas. I want Thomas to do a thorough check-up on Darius and Pablo, even though they are already receiving intensive care in America but they need to be re-checked. Moreover, they have just had a long and tiring trip today."

Massimo smiled wryly, he couldn’t stop Gina from contacting Thomas. Right now he felt lucky enough to see Gina not angry with him, whereas previously he was worried that Gina would go crazy after knowing the reason for teaching Darius and Pablo a lesson. For nearly three minutes, Gina had a serious conversation with Thomas. Massimo and the others could hear what Gina and Thomas were talking about because Gina turned on the loudspeaker of her cell phone, Gina who realized that Massimo was very jealous, chose to find a safe way by letting her husband hear her conversation with Thomas.

"Okay madam, I’ll be coming soon to check on Darius and Pablo. Incidentally today I also have a schedule to change the bandages on Mr Massimo’s body," said Thomas clearly.

Gina pursed her lips. "Ok, we’re waiting for your arrival," Gina replied softly before hanging up the phone with Thomas.

After putting her phone back in her bag, Gina turned her gaze back to Massimo who hadn’t taken his eyes off her.

"You heard what Thomas said, didn’t you?"

Massimo nodded slowly.

"Then you sit here sweetly and wait for Thomas to come," said Gina curtly.

"Where are you going?" Massimo asked quickly, seeing Gina getting ready to wake up immediately made him nervous.

"I want to go to my room, my stomach hurts. It seems my son is angry right now, he is upset with his angry father," Gina replied sarcastically.

"Honey..."

"Shhh, don’t talk anymore, it’s better if you stay here. While waiting for Thomas to come to introspect yourself, whether or not you deserve to be like this. Unless you want to see your child grow up to be a bad person, then just continue your selfishness." After saying that Gina then got up from the sofa and immediately walked towards the stairs, Joice who also moved to live in Gina’s new house immediately reached out her hand, helping Gina up the stairs to her room on the second floor.

Without taking his eyes off Gina who was walking down the stairs, Massimo said, "No, my son must not inherit my bad qualities. He must be a gentleman who has the same kindness and wisdom as you, my dear."
