His soul-Chapter 548: Self control
If Gina and Massimo’s relationship is progressing well, the opposite is happening to Diego. Since being taken to the police station four days ago, Diego hasn’t said much. He had ignored countless police questions, Diego was still consistently silent and didn’t respond to anything. Diego’s thoughts were still on Massimo and Gina, the faces of the two people dancing in Diego’s mind.
"If you keep quiet like this then don’t blame us if you will immediately throw you in jail," said a senior police officer desperately, being ignored by Diego since the first day Diego came to annoy the policeman.
Just like before, Diego just blinked his eyes in response to the words of the senior policeman who had just spoken. Diego’s face looks thinner, only eating a piece of bread since his arrival four days ago made Diego a little thin. Fine hair also began to grow on his face.
"Diego Alvarez!" snapped the cop back loudly. "How long are you going to be silent like this, your hearing is still good, isn’t it! If you still remain silent, then we’ll take that as a ’yes’ answer to all the crimes you’ve committed."
Diego opened his pale lips slowly. "Georgina... I want to meet her."
The senior police officer named Adam raised an eyebrow. "Georgina, who is Georgina?"
Diego pursed his lips. "Georgina, she is my future wife. The future mother of my children." Diego’s eyes immediately changed when he said Gina’s name.
A young policeman who had been standing behind immediately approached Adam, he whispered a few words that finally made Adam’s eyes wide open.
"Georgina, do you mean Georgina Sanders who is already Massimo del Cano’s wife?"
Brak...
Using both his handcuffed hands, Diego hit the table in front of him hard.
"No, Gina is my future wife. That damn bastard has already divorced her, Gina will be my woman. Watch your words!" Diego shouted loudly, his anger overflowing when he heard Adam’s words calling Gina as Massimo’s wife. "Gina, she’s going to be my wife. So watch your words, you bastard!"
Diego’s chest heaved up and down as he spoke, his expression completely different. It was obvious how angry he was right now.
Adam’s eyes narrowed to see Diego who was angry, without speaking Adam gave orders to his men to continue their task of interrogating Diego again. Adam suddenly wanted to talk to Massimo, there was something he wanted to ask Massimo at this time. Seeing the response Diego had just given made Adam feel confident that Massimo could help him.
After a young policeman took his place, Adam immediately left the interrogation room leaving Diego still screaming with emotion. Once in his study, Adam immediately called Martin and asked to be connected to Massimo who had just finished changing the bandages that wrapped his body.
"Speak." Massimo’s signature voice immediately rang in Adam’s ears.
"Sorry to interrupt, there’s something I want to ask you, sir," Adam said carefully.
"Speak to the point, don’t beat around the bush." Massimo impatiently asked Adam to get straight to the heart of the matter.
Adam gulped, even though it was only talking on the phone but he felt very depressed. Massimo really had something that no one else had. After taking a deep breath, Adam then spoke carefully. Adam told Massimo what had just happened to Diego.
"Fuck..how dare he mention my wife as the future mother of his children," cried Massimo loudly. "Everything that bastard said was bullshit, he was rambling." Massimo’s eyes reddened as he spoke, hearing Diego claim Gina as his own made Massimo’s anger out of control. Whereas a few moments ago he had promised himself to be wiser and patient, but this time he had forgotten his promise.
"I know, sir. I also don’t believe what Diego said, that’s why I immediately contacted you. I think you should know what Diego said," Adam said again.
Massimo clenched his jaw. "Get ready Diego, I’ll be right over. He’s really been looking for trouble with me."
"But sir..."
"Don’t argue, if you don’t want your wife to become a widow then just do what I give you. Remember, I’m not a patient person, so don’t provoke my emotions." Massimo spoke with a threatening tone, after saying that Massimo immediately hung up Adam’s call and threw Martin’s cell phone on the sofa roughly.
"Get the car ready, let’s go to the police station now," he said coldly, his face red with anger, hearing Diego recognize Gina as his made Massimo unable to contain himself.
"But it’s dinner time, sir. What if the madam looks for you?" said Martin quietly.
Massimo lifted his head, glaring at Martin. "Who do you serve exactly, Martin?"
Martin was dumbfounded, his body instantly stiffened at Massimo’s piercing words. "Of course you are, sir."
"Then do as I say," said Massimo again.
Without daring to argue again, Martin hurried away from Massimo to prepare the car. Massimo, who was still shirtless after Thomas changed his bandage, grabbed his clothes and put them on in a hurry. Too angry, Massimo had difficulty buttoning his clothes. Thomas who saw this immediately acted.
"Let me help you, sir," he said quietly as he grabbed the shirt Massimo was holding.
Massimo removed his hands from the black shirt he had been wearing in a hurry and let Thomas help him get dressed.
"Your chest wound hasn’t fully healed, sir. You have to be careful not to make any movements that could open the stitches in your chest again." Thomas spoke softly, giving Massimo a message regarding the gunshot wounds on his body that had not yet fully healed.
"I’m not a kid to be reminded over and over again, Thomas," growled Massimo in annoyance.
Thomas smiled. "Of course you are not a child, you are the father-to-be of a baby to be born in the not too distant future."
All the dark aura that previously surrounded Massimo’s body instantly disappeared as soon as Thomas closed his lips, the stifling atmosphere in the room also immediately changed. Alluding to the existence of a potential successor to the del Cano clan managed to make Massimo’s anger disappear instantly.
"Take care of yourself, sir. Currently you have two people who must be kept safe," added Thomas again. "Don’t do anything stupid that will make the madam shed tears again."
As if understanding where Thomas was talking, Massimo nodded his head slowly. "Stay here, take good care of my wife. I’m only going to go away for a while, I have to finish my business with Diego today. Diego must accept the consequences for what he said earlier when he recognized my woman as his own."
