His Witch Queen-Chapter 113: Harming Lady Aura!
"What the hell?!!?"
Alice’s mind switched instantly when she ran out of the chamber at the lightning speed. It made their breath halt in the middle as their eyes were as wide as possible.
Whereas, Cyrus can’t be moved for the next few moments. He stayed there, stuck with the light, and gazed at the maid with the evident displeasure in his eyes, "Wh-where is she right now?"
"In her chamber Prince. I think you should also go with the Princess.." the maid had answered with her trembled eyes, in the hurry to divert their attention.
And without thinking twice, Cyrus also walked out of the chamber. On the other hand, Alice had reached up to Lady Aura’s chamber after asking multiple maids who had guided her and given her the direction.
Coming and standing at the door of the chamber, her eyes fell on the lady who lay peacefully on the bed with her closed eyes. "Lady Aura.." Mumbling her name under her breath, Alice had stepped into the room.
Walking inside, her eyes straightaway caught the pale face and the colorless lips. She appeared almost inhuman right now.
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth was currently standing at the corner with clear emotions flooding her eyes. Lady Ashley had been sitting beside Lady Aura while she caressed the lady’s head with her tender hands.
However, there was the presence of King Almen himself too.
"What do you have to say? What happened to her?" it was no one else but King Alme who asked the priest in front of them.
He had been taking care of the various health issues of the Vampires for ages. The Royal family’s confident person, and someone they lay their trust in.
The priest was currently checking the pulse of the lady, and when he had taken the glass of the mixed herbs to finally use them and tried to pour them into Lady Aura’s mouth. "She has been poisoned, His Highness."
"The poison is really sharp and it has infected her. Even her vampire’s state is losing her powers and ..the deficiency of blood is rapidly increasing." The priest told them honestly, which brought a frown to King’s forehead.
"So does she need blood?" throwing this question as he understood, his eyes went to see Queen Elizabeth, "Prepare for the blood. There shall be no lack of blood for the lady Aura."
"I will do that, my King." Queen Elizabeth softly answered but the priest had stopped her. "No need for the Queen to do that. We need a special kind of blood. I will make it and mix some herbs with it which will remove the poison from her state. We should be thankful that the poison easily defected and it hasn’t really started to affect her vampire state."
"The most effect shown is on the body.." the priest’s words were relieving too, but Lady Ashley’s eyes were filled with tears. "W-who can..even do this to our Aura?’
"She has been so kind to everyone...why..." constant sobs were heard and there was no indication that Laid Ashley was extremely close with Lady Aura.
Their bond was almost inseparable, like that of sisters.
At the same time, the King had simply given the order as the priest asked him to do. "Get her well soon. Make sure to use all that is needed to get energy backing her body,"
"I will do whatever I can for her, His Highness." the priest answered with a smile to which the King left very soon.
However, everyone stayed back there, including General Ryan and some other soldiers as well. Hearing the news that the lady was poisoned had shocked everyone. Even though the King didn’t pay much attention, everyone knew that the ultimate search would be carried out.
Yet Alice had stayed quiet throughout. She had only absurd things and the King Left, her eyes saw that Lady Ashley was in the worst condition. "Lady Ashley.."
She walked closer to the lady, squeezing her shoulders tightly, "Don’t worry, Lady Aura will be fine very soon. She has a strong will.."
"B-But..wh-who can do this..to her, Alice...? She has never done anything wrong to anyone." Alice can’t help but sigh. She moved her gaze back to look at the lady Aura, she knew that this was someone else’s doing.
’Otherwise, will Lad AURA take the poison on her own? And who can even give her the food which was poisoned?’ subconsciously, her eyes swept across the entire chamber to find nothing suspicious.
’How is this possible? If there was poison given to her..that means there should be something else too..’
A frown had curved on her forehead when the frown on her head had radiantly deepened due to other lines forming.
"Lady Aura will be fine. The priests will give blood mixed with herbs." It was Lady Sierra who spoke, with a direct tone. There was a lack of sympathy but at the same time, she had replied as if this was the fact.
"I agree with lady Sierra. Lady Aura is going to be fine.." Lady Tia took the same stand and Lady Ashley had simply nodded.
On the other hand, Queen Elizabeth had kept quiet for the longest time. She was gazing at the lady Aura with her wicked eyes, as her heart was blowing with the flowers.
A narrow glint had passed from her eyes, indirectly giving the vibe that everyone was simply out of her interest too.
But to everyone’s dismay, her expressions were well equipped and hardy guessed and found by anyone else. She had played the trick too well for others to even detect her actions.
Changing her expressions, the Queen spoke, "I will ask the maid to prepare the soup for her. She needs to recover very soon."
"T-thank you...Queen." Ashley only muttered while she gaze never tired from that of the lady Aura’s face.
Even then, all the other ladies had left once and only Princess Alice, Cyrus, Lady Ashley, and the few confused soldiers stayed back. This included the personal maids of the lady Aura, who were frightened to their core.
The time when Alice felt that they were all in the safe zone, did her eyes land on the maids, who stood in corners with their heads down. They weren’t only scared but also lost.
Alice stood on her toes to walk near them maids to look and stare in their direction with her fierce filled eyes, "Tell me, who does this?"
"W-we have no idea, princess....We were just helping lady Aura with the flowers that she brought from the town last time. But suddenly the lady had fallen on the floor and when we noticed, there were white bubbles coming out from her mouth." The senior maid answered, with her lowered voice.
Alice’s brows raised. "Had she eaten something before? Or touched something which could inject the poison into her body?"
In response, the maid gave her a shook. The answer made her lips grim into the position where she had no idea how to even react. "How can the poison travel into her body on its own! There must be someone who wishes to kill her!"
"Or at least harm the lady." A straight answer from General Ryan, as he looked in the princess’s direction. "King Almen wanted me to stay with you all here if you guys need any help and provide more soldiers to the lady." General Ryan told Alice, to which she gave him a nod.
But Cyrus had his eyes narrowed when he couldn’t help but mutter for the very first time, "Where is Demitri? Isn’t He supposed to be here with mother?"
"Has information that his mother has been poisoned reached up to his ears or not, general Ryan?" Prince threw the question on Ryan to which General Ryan kept his eyes low to give a stern nod, "We did convey the message."
"Then why is he not here?" Alice was confused too since she had heard this name for the very first time, "Who is this...Dimitri?"
"Lady Aura’s only son." Lady Ashley spoke.
But recalling the conversation, Alice’s heart skipped a beat. How can she get the time when the lady Aura had mentioned her son too in front of her?
As Alice maintained the smile on her face, subconsciously, she had also a different kind of feeling residing in her heart. ’Why do I feel that the executor of this plan is among us?’ Who can it be?
She was surely doubtful and with any proof, there was no way that she could ever raise the question.
Yet then, Alice’s gaze straight went to see the jewelry that lay on the dresser. There was a lot of jewelry but her eyes were still intact in certain pieces.
Walking closer there, Alice kept her lips silent but her gaze did see make it out which was raising the bars already in her mind.
’So...does this mean....this is done by her?’
