His Witch Queen-Chapter 127: Not Almen’s son!
The thought brought dozens of sudden urges to discover the truth.
Prince Cyrus was currently seeing his father as well as half-brother coming down and then standing off the wall. Whereas, it was general Ryan, who stood at the other side of theirs and behind them while keeping his eyes lower. ’What can happen to this wall?’
Knowing that since they have come and walked for so long, and this was not the normal basement, there must be something behind the wall too.
And as expected, just as King Almen pressed one brick of the wall, a door opened in the middle of the wall. The two parts of the brick were pulled apart on their own and then a secret passage was present inside.
With seeing the same, a shocking sigh escaped from Prince Cyrus’s eyes. But making sure that he is cleverly undercover, he never invaded their eyes.
"We should go inside, father, before anyone comes here and sees us here." Prince Alex commented to which King Almen passed him a nod.
Stepping inside the long passage, it was first of all King Almen and then Prince Alex. Behind both of them, at last, it was general Ryan, who was not only last but he also turned around to look behind him.
As if he was trying to find the different keys all around himself, his eyes caught the single sight and it was enough for him to know that it was the time to close this passage.
As General Ryan tapped back on the same brick, the door of the secret pathway was closed and once again there was a wide wall of bricks there.
At this point, a twisted frown had reappeared on Cyrus’s face.
He can’t help but feel the shock covering his entire mind. ’What is behind this? Why do they keep it a secret?’ 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
There are thousands of unanswered questions residing in the sand. On top of that, he can’t help but feel that there was a sudden eagerness to know this.
Moreover, how can his eyes miss how General Ryan carefully looked behind himself. As if, he is in search of something more than just closing the door. But it is yet to be found out. ’I need to go behind this passage..’
With this thought in his mind, Prince Cyrus walked down near the solid rock and when he kept his hand on the wall, he couldn’t sense anything but then something struck him.
’If I go inside right now, the doors will open, and probably, they will see me too...I will need to wait for them to pass the entire tunnel inside..’
As Cyrus’s teeth gritted against each other, he couldn’t help but feel that the time was more than what was required. Patiently controlling his inner feelings, the Crown Prince’s eyes are covered in the mist.
The dangerous glint passed by his mind and the tightened jaw was proof that his intuition was already ringing. It made him feel like this site is getting worse.
’Why do I feel that I’m going to catch something..which I shouldn’t?’ it was the most undoubtful thought.
But as the time passed, Cyrus’s eyes shifted their attention to the one specific brick. Extending his hand, he felt his palm be covered with sweat. Yet holding his breath, Cyrus finally pressed the same brick to find the door once again opening in front of his eyes.
What came straight from his eyes was the small tunnel. It wasn’t dark as he had earlier imagined. They were almost tilted on their way.
Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves and the vampire state, Cyrus brought his right foot inside.
Instead of closing the passage, Cyrus’s mind decided against it and thought about letting it be opened.
’Who knows if I had to run away from here..I can at least find this door open..’ without any second thought, Cyrus started to walk inside the vast tunnel, he had no idea how long it was and where it led out.
But he was certain that this tunnel holds many answers. It is not only a hidden place but one of the most dreadful places he could even imagine.
Even the temperature was lower than the upper castle’s one.
Prince Cyrus took the light step in the positive direction. His other hand was fixed on his sword and secondly, his eyes were sharper than that of an eagle. Nothing could define how attentive he saw each step and area.
But as if he had suddenly heard the voice of King Almen, he increased his pace to find that even though the tunnel was continuing further, there was a space on the left side of the tunnel.
It was like a small cage opening just inside the tunnel itself.
But staying behind the walls, Prince Cyrus’s back was against the wall to hear the voice again, "We all want that you should be King, Alex. For this, we need to understand a few dynamics. Right now, Cyrus has the favor of the courtroom too."
"People in the towns also respect Cyrus above you. So, if you want to outcast Cyrus, you will have to gain the power in your hand and gain loyalty to the prominent vampires of our Empire." King Almen laid down the analysis carefully.
On the other hand, Prince Alex’s eyes were fixed on what his father told with the utmost attentiveness, "I understand. But father, I think we can easily ruin Cyrus’s reputation among the locals just in one go."
"How is that possible, Alex?"
"By revealing that Cyrus has married a mere human. Each vampire in the town hall will ultimately despise him and consider him as a traitor who actually went to marry the human Lord’s daughter." Alex’s idea was strong enough and in return, Cyrus’s mind worked all together.
For a minute, his eyes widened but he covered them up, as the side of King Almen was more freezing, "No, we can’t reveal Alice’s identity right now to anyone. No one should know her presence here in this castle."
"Why is that, His highness?" this was, it was general Ryan who asked politely.
King Almen didn’t mutter anything initially; he kept his mouth sealed before he finally managed to give the appropriate answers to each one of them.
"Because if we reveal this right now, she’ll come into the light."
"I haven’t made Cyrus marry her so that she can live there for a lifetime. No, she is here for a different reason and..I will be executing it now." At this stage, the King’s eyes were more dangerous than that of the wolf.
He was showing no warmth in the space, where he meant each word of his.
Whereas Price Alex was slightly annoyed, "Father, I had told you. Let me have her for once."
"Do you wanna die, Alex?" It is no one else but King Almen’s strict warning on his face. But in return, what came as another shooting answer was what Prince Alex answered "Father, don’t take me as a fool. I know things, how rumors have been spread. Cyrus is special and he could die. But for me? I know I can manage that.."
"Leave her." was all that King Almen muttered since he had no such intentions.
He was firm on his stand and his action was already planted in his mind.
Where Is it a general Ryan who was lying in the greatness to learn more, "His Highness.s.what are those plans....?"
"Alice was brought here so that we can experiment. She lived here much already, but now it is time for her to actually see why this place will be a living hell for her." saying this, King Almen turned around to look at Ryan, "What will King Vilas do when he hears that his daughter...is suddenly in danger?"
"We are going to take her to the priest, for the experiment that he wanted to do. Spread the news that she has gone missing and her father will come, however, we will ask, as strangers. The minute we find King Vilas alone..our plan can be executed."
"Once King Vilas is out of the way, the entire Suzania kingdom will fall weak. With this, it can be covered up by any of our Vampire and at a lower position, Second man Daniel can manage. Whereas, for Alice, she will be simply killed once we get what we want. She will act as a honey trap for the Suzania Empire."
But hearing this, there was no smile on General’s face which made him even more mannered, "His Highness, she is actually the prince’s wife..are we sure that you want to do this..after all.."
"I know what I’m doing. And do you think that Cyrus will be left over to just watch the scene? NO, there is more awaiting for him to be crushed down..as well.."
King Almen’s aloof voice raised General Ryan’s guards. While he can’t help but feel the fear inside his heart, there was a tinge of unhappiness that surfaced along too.
But his sudden eagerness to question the King didn’t fade away, leaving him with no other post but to ask it aloud
"Are you doing this because he isn’t your son, His Highness?"
