His Witch Queen-Chapter 198: Mission

Forex’s words brought chills down her spine. She knew the reality was too harsh but there is no way she would give up at this point either. As she found the courage to hold herself to this state right now, Alice’s brain worked up together to form a curse under her breath. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

She kept on mumbling different words inaudible to anyone learning. Her hands were folded into one and kept straight in front of her stomach. Even the frown on her forehead startled to slow down which showed how relaxed she was looked right now.

While behind her, the ladies were fearing for their lives as they were seeing Alice as the ray of God. All they prayed for was to get out of the site somehow.

And as she mumbled the protective shield of the castle, her hair had been shining brighter than sunlight. Her silver hair had been growing, showing that the powerful witch she was, and her actions were working.

The ladies behind were too fearful about the circumstances to even utter something less than this.

As soon as Alice’s hair started to turn more silvery, they all felt that the castle was somehow witnessing some different kind of heat. The temperature had been drooling down in the hall.

"Start to relax, Alice..." Forex’s soothing voice made Alice nod her head. She followed his command and at last, they found her to regaining to herself

She finally reopened her eyes to gaze back at the large door but as expected, there was no hustle bustle outside of their castle anymore.

"Princess, do you want us to go and check now?" One of the soldiers asked from behind as he was still not very sure about the storm.

After thinking, Alice passed him a stern nod and the soldier had then taken a peak from one of the windows that was at the corner of the castle and found a strange sight outside.

"Princess... I think you should go outside and see what is happening." The soldier told her from a distance and this made Alice a bit alarmed. ’What is going outside?’ She was totally clueless.

But Kian was worried for her, "Lady, what if that is the trap for you? I don’t think that it is advisable for you to go and be there in the open."

"I also agree with him. But I think your protective shield has already worked. There must be something important." Forex told and Alice was in the middle of the dilemma to decide whether to step out of the Palace or continue her life inside.

However, deep down her heart cracked badly to know things. She knew that maybe they wouldn’t be in her favor either, but curiosity would rather kill her than staying inside.

With her lifted shoulders, and after thinking twice about each step, Alice had come forward on the terms and conditions.. "I will go outside and see what they have for me."

"I know what I’m doing. There is no need for you to worry." Alice passed the command and this was enough to put the label on everyone’s mouth.

No one had the strength to question her decision and get the consultation, the soldiers arrived for her. She wasn’t stepping outside all alone but the ladies were still asked to be careful under.

As the large gates of the Palace oepend, she stepped out in the sunlight. In front of her, she could see the soldiers were on the ground wounded badly. Some were dead too.

"What has happened to them...?" Alice was confused as hell.

She never did anything wrong to them. But then, a voice entered into her ears, "Your powers overpowered once again. You try to save your place but it also puts an impact on them. Looks like they were burned."

"Hm..." despite Forex telling her initially, she wasn’t guilty. Deep down, she knew that these soldiers were here for her and in the war, everything was fair until you win.

After all, the public remembers only one significant person who is the emergent winner of the war. All the dirty politics were possible in this, including how King Almen must have planned to use her against Cyrus.

"Let us go and see the head of this army." Alice muttered and the soldiers along with her inched closer to the soldiers who laid dead now.

Despite the bombing of fear in her heart, Alice knew she can’t give up at this crucial moment. It was out of her league and holding her breath, all of them approached the dead or at least, unconscious leader of the troop.

The soldiers walked ahead of thrm as they were he found one who checked if he’s breathing. At the sign, they gave her a negative view, "He isn’t alive."

"Check his pockets. See if you can find something else for us." Alice passed another command since she felt the words rolling down from her mouth on its own.

The soldiers did put a check on the laid soldier, as they saw his pockets, the sword and all of mere normal.

However, then one of their soldiers caught something in his hand. "Princes... there is something written on this piece of paper..`` The soldier handed the piece of paper to Forex who read it on the behalf of Alice.

"Mission is to finish and carry the ladies of the household. Second mission is to attack Cyrus’s army from the back. Two different groups will do this task." Hearing this from Forex, Alice gulped the saliva.

Similarly, Forex as well as Kian’s eyes moved and bulged on being Alice. "They wish to attack Cyrus!"

"And the army is already on its way." Kian told and declared from what they heard.

At the sametime, Alice was well as other’s hearts were beating and aloud, ready to jump out of their chest. They knew how important this position was for them. A single wrong step would be enough to shatter all of their lives.

The intensity right now was more than important. Alice thought for once and twice, she knew what she wanted. ’I can’t let Cyrus die...’

She was determined in her words. The thought of someone attacking Cyrus’s army from back brought different knots to churn in her stomach.

But as she held her own self, she knew what she wanted. Hiding a bit of thread, Alice finally declared her real intentions to others,"We will go behind them. We have to stop Gazelle Kingdom’s army from attacking Cyrus’s army from behind...we will need to go.."
