Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend-Chapter 568 - 164: The Mystery of Werewolves and Gryffindor (Part 4)
The werewolves, seeing this, let out even fiercer roars, and they lunged ferociously at Ian, their sharp claws and fangs glinting coldly in the moonlight.
"I can only use the simplest magic power operation method."
Facing an attack from all sides, Ian conjured a turtle shell emitting a hazy white light for himself, inspired by a mage character from a game called "Legend."
Original magic!
Simple and effective, and doesn’t snag magic power.
The only downside is that the strength of the magic power determines the strength of this protective shield.
The werewolves rammed hard against the seemingly fragile magical protection shield. Each impact caused the shield to tremble slightly, the shaky magic shield seemed on the verge of shattering at any moment.
"Damn! Are you all insane?"
On the other side.
Lupin wanted to rescue the little wizard, but he was also somewhat powerless, facing a group of out-of-control werewolves, even if old werewolf Lucas stopped, he was still struggling to cope.
"Stupefy!"
Faced with a sudden attack from a transformed werewolf, Lupin immediately cast a spell in time. However, the werewolf hit by the spell only clutched its head and shook it vigorously.
Then.
It quickly regained its agile form.
"Roar!"
The werewolf, with hands spread open and howling to the sky, had drool continuously dripping from the exposed fangs on its face, lunging forward again as if unscathed by the magic attack.
"What exceptional magic resistance!"
The little wizard in the crossfire sincerely exclaimed, his magic shield on the verge of being torn apart in the next moment, yet his face showed no sign of tension or fear.
Lupin felt this was because Ian’s true body was not actually in this position.
His intuition was indeed correct.
"No matter where your true body is! Hurry and run! Don’t underestimate the sense of smell of a pack of werewolves!" Lupin was certain that the werewolves’ sense of smell could, to some extent, counteract the Illusionary Body Spell.
"After you escape, it’s best to get Dumbledore to rescue me!"
He truly deserved to be an outstanding graduate of Gryffindor, reminding Ian while also casting spells. As he gently pointed his magic wand at a nearby dilapidated house.
The next moment.
The vines clinging to the walls appeared half-animated, transforming into long, waving whips that viciously lashed at the werewolves continuously attacking.
One werewolf after another was whipped away, and some were directly tripped by the vines.
The scene appeared quite chaotic.
Fortunately, there weren’t many skilled wizards among these werewolves, otherwise, Lupin would have been even more overwhelmed, always managing to counter the occasionally flying magic towards him with thrilling precision.
"Obstacles everywhere!"
"Severing Charm!"
"Stupefy!"
Lupin fought from beginning to end with his wand, maintaining his wizard identity, and even in such dangerous times, he didn’t easily take the lives of the attacking werewolves.
"Senior, you’re really the Holy Mother of Hogwarts!" Ian came up and stuck close to Lupin, raising his wand to share some of the pressure.
"They won’t thank you for it."
The little wizard’s judgment was not wrong.
Even though Lupin exercised as much restraint as possible when casting spells, in the eyes of the werewolves, their gaze towards Lupin only grew increasingly angrier and more hateful.
"You’re fighting for those not belonging to our race! You... are a traitor!" Even old werewolf Lucas roared, raising his wand once more to cast a spell.
Feeling the powerful magic fluctuation from Lucas, Lupin’s eyelids twitched frantically, and he could only grab the still babbling Ian beside him like treating a dead horse as if it were alive.
"We must escape!"
Lupin directly performed Apparition—the next moment, he and the captured Ian escaped from the chaos, the surroundings shifting to a somewhat deserted room.
Wu Orphanage.
The room Senior Tom once lived in.
"Huff huff~"
Lupin collapsed directly onto the ground, his wand rolling away, his clothes soaked in sweat, and the surging magic in his body made him grit his teeth.
Having consumed a lot in the intense battle and performed Apparition with someone else, it was quite a burden for a wizard like him, almost reaching the limit.
No choice.
For most wizards, even at Hogwarts, they belong to the excellent category, yet their capability limit and magic strength still have a chasm compared to true geniuses.
"I’ve done my best, if this wasn’t your true body, you really can only pray that I notify Dumbledore quickly enough, and your body is still warm when he comes to collect the remains."
Lupin finally caught his breath and pushed himself up from the ground. However, when he looked beside him, he only saw a dried branch next to him.
"I knew it would be like this..." Lupin wearily raised his hand to cover his eyes; that was the very reason he didn’t employ Apparition to escape initially.
He truly didn’t know where the little wizard’s true body was hiding!
The only certainty was that the little rascal was still out there.
...
Apparition.
It is extremely advanced magic.
Very few wizards can access and master it. This also meant that since werewolves generally had "low academic qualifications," once Lupin left with the "little wizard" using Apparition, they all immediately lost the target of their attack. These fierce werewolves were left bewildered and at a loss, lashing out into the air.
