Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend-Chapter 622 - 174: Fairy Tale Revisited, Astonishing Masterstroke (Part 2)
One second, or perhaps even shorter.
In just a moment, Ian fell from the human world into misty illusion, crossing the divide between life and death, arriving at a lush green canopy in the vibrant Mysterious Realm.
The sky here was no different from the human world, both carrying a crystal-clear purity akin to the ocean, capable of cleansing all the dust of the world, leaving one’s heart relaxed and joyful. Sunlight poured through this blue sky, casting a warm and gentle glow, draping the earth in a layer of golden attire.
Clouds drifted leisurely across this blue backdrop, whether pure white as snow or light as gauze, intertwining on the sky, adding liveliness and vitality to this tranquil sky.
"A new map opening again?"
Ian gazed around at the seemingly ordinary yet extremely unfamiliar environment. Countless similar experiences in the past had made him accustomed to such scenes.
The only thing that surprised the Little Wizard was how quickly the "cooldown period" ended, coinciding perfectly with his first day of second grade at Hogwarts.
"Being able to return is always a good thing."
Even though he couldn’t travel to familiar places, being able to return to the Misty Illusion Realm was of great significance to Ian, even if he would "get lost" again this time, he knew he could find his way back to the castle or the town next time. Turning back, he would still encounter familiar people and see familiar situations, and that was enough.
"What I’m curious about now is what region this is and why I came here." Ian, after briefly adapting, also began to move his legs.
Along the quiet path.
He walked toward the distance without looking back.
In the lush forest, there was a winding path ahead.
And at the end of the road was a mountain.
Devoid of inhabitants.
"Don’t mention the Smurfs, you can’t even find a Gargamel in this mountain!"
No wonder the Little Wizard complained.
He climbed over the mountain.
And beyond the mountain?
Still more mountains.
It’s not a joke but a fact... real mountains connected to mountains. Faced with the endless mountain range, Ian finally couldn’t endure and pulled out his Magic Cloak to take flight on the spot.
This decision was quite correct.
Or perhaps because he still hoped to find people in the forest and mountains, the Little Wizard took out the Magic Cloak far too late; he should have abandoned his illusions on the forests and mountains for flight long ago.
"If I walked with my two legs, I’m afraid it would take three days and nights to exit these imposing mountain peaks." Ian didn’t know how many not-so-grand mountains he had flown over.
He only knew he had opened the "throttle" fully, flying past the "Mach" measurement unit, even for several hours, before his eyes saw different colors and landscapes. What unfolded before him was endless golden waves of wheat, crisscrossing paths among fields, and raised waterwheels.
It clearly showed signs of inhabitants, no, souls residing. Moving forward a little more, Ian saw a tranquil city, with a few classical architectural styles seemingly narrating its history.
The city’s silhouette gradually became clearer before Ian’s eyes, with towering stone walls that seemed solid enough to withstand the winds and rains of any era. On either side of the city gate stood two imposing towers, flaunting flags that—though slightly weathered—still conveyed a sense of past glory and honor.
"Someone!"
"A wizard?"
"Oh my! It’s a rare male wizard!"
...
The guards at the city gate were nearly fully armed, holding Long Spears, their eyes sharp. Though slightly fearful upon spotting Ian in the sky, they didn’t seem particularly surprised.
"A nation located within the Misty Illusion Realm, possessing wizards?" Ian was witnessing for the first time inside the Misty Illusion Realm a thriving city.
From above in the sky.
The inhabitants within the city were plentiful, with rows of various houses, thatched, stone-made, wooden... there were also many bakeries, mills, blacksmiths, and tailors.
"Honorable young wizard, have you come for the bounty issued by our esteemed King as well?" The guards cautiously approached and inquired immediately upon Ian’s landing.
"Of course, that’s definitely why I’m here." Ian wasn’t aware of any bounty here, but as the saying goes, since you’re already here, naturally you should explore what the Mysterious Realm is all about.
"Please, come in! Let us use a dedicated carriage to escort you to the Royal Palace!" The guards had no doubt, given in their eyes, Ian descended from the sky as an imposing wizard.
Clearly possessing genuine capabilities.
The youthful appearance perhaps manifesting advanced Witchcraft.
"No problem."
Ian’s response was straightforward; though his Magic Wand was hidden up his sleeve and he was slightly on guard, outwardly he displayed no discernible trace of his inner thoughts.
"This way!"
The guards led Ian into the city but did not enter the bustling market; instead, they escorted him onto a horse-drawn carriage at the city edge, which headed toward the center of the city—a stylish carriage emitted soft clattering sounds as its wheels rolled over cobblestone paths, creating a unique harmony with the surrounding commotion.
Outside the carriage window, scenes full of lively activity unfolded like a scroll of paintings.
On either side of the street, vendors displayed a wide array of stalls offering everything from fresh produce to exquisite handicrafts. They called out loudly, attracting the attention of passersby. Children frolicked among the crowds, occasionally sending forth tinkling laughter, adding vitality and energy to the city.
