House of The Dragon-A God Amongst Men-Chapter 188: Four II
Chapter 188 - Four II
(Drakken's POV)
"You look rather delicious today." I said to Daranne as I hugged her waist from behind, "Hm? Would you like to be devoured?"
"Oh!" She said with surprise, "Back so soon? I figured you would spend another week in King's Landing, having the Princess every night."
I had approached her in the gardens, seeing that she was standing above the flowers and holding one in her hand.
"What, you want me to go back?" I asked as I stroked her beautiful blonde hair, "I am surprised, Daranne....."
She looked up at me with a smile, "Of course not." She said, "I always want you with me." freeweɓnovel.cøm
"Heh." I smirked, "Where are they?"
"Playing." She said as she pointed
I looked over to see Riktor running as he was being chased by Sylas, both of them were laughing as they held wooden swords in their hands.
"Hm." I said as I held her, "It is quite interesting how they gladly enjoy their childhood."
"Is that so wrong?" She asked me, "They are children. While Lord Riktor is indeed growing, he is still a boy that deserves his innocence."
"Innocence...." I said, "That innocence will no longer be there when he reaches a certain age."
"Let them live." She said, "So...is the Princess here?"
"Yes." I said, "And you best get ready. She is a rather overzealous one. Quite possessive."
"Reminds me of someone." She said with a chuckle
"And that means what?" I asked as I leaned in and kissed her cheek, "You are in need of a little correcting, Daranne."
"Oh, please do." She said with a smile, "I have missed you so much after all."
She pulled away and turned around, running her hand up my chest while she looked at me.
"There is so much to do." I told her, "I will do my best to balance the four of you with my work."
"I know." She said
"Father!" I heard Riktor call out, "You are back!"
I looked past Daranne and saw as the two of them ran over to us. Riktor stopped and hunched over, panting slightly as he held the wooden sword in his hand. Sylas reached him and swung the sword, hitting him in the back.
"Got you!" Sylas smirked
"Ah! Sylas, what the hell!" He scowled, "You know it doesn't count when we greet Father!"
I raised an eyebrow as Daranne stepped to the side, hugging me, "What is going on here?"
"Oh, nothing." Riktor said, "We're just playing a game."
"Smacking each other with wooden swords is a game?" I asked
"Well.....we can take it, right Sylas?" Riktor said, "It was his idea, though."
Sylas nodded, "Yes."
"Oh, look at my boy...." Daranne said, "So grown up and eager to play with his elder brother."
"Hm." I said as I looked at Riktor, "We'll resume our training today. Make sure you do not waste your energy until then."
His eyes lit up, "Y-Yes!"
Sylas looked at me, "I want to be trained as well, Father." He said with a frown, "Why only Riktor?"
"You're too small." I said, "Riktor is growing by the second. When you reach a certain height, we can train as well."
"But I want to train now." He said
I blinked, "Hm." I said, "What is your weapon?"
"Oh...." Sylas said, "I....I don't know...."
"Hm." I said, "My own son does not know what weapon he wishes to wield? Well....join Riktor later today then. We shall decide then."
He nodded, "Yes!"
"Now go and get a bath." I said, "You both reek of sweat and dirt. Go on."
They then ran past us as they laughed.
"Children." Daranne said, "You have to deal with it until they become of age."
"You are right." I said, "I will allow them their innocence until the time is right. The two of them will be feared by the entire Realm, mark my words."
"I do not doubt it." She said, "I am quite hungry, shall we eat something, My Lord?"
"I can eat." I said,
"Let us go."
****************
"So....." Saera said as she looked at Daranne, who sat on my lap, "I believe that is my seat."
We were in the dining hall, sitting on the table when Saera had walked in and saw that Daranne was sitting on my lap as usual.
Daranne chuckled, "Oh, Princess." She said, "I apologize, but Our Lord always allows me to sit on him."
"Hmph." Saera said as she sat down next to me, "I will allow it. Only because I am promised pleasure tonight. Right, My Love~?"
"Whatever." I shrugged as I drank wine from my cup, "I have to train the boys. If you want, you'll meet them. They were told they were having another mother."
"Mother?" She said with a frown, "I am not their Mother."
"Not by blood." Daranne said as I saw Mya walking in, followed by Maegelle, "But the two will see you as such, considering you are Our Lord's woman."
"Hm." Saera said, "Is that so?"
"They call Maegelle their mama." Daranne said with a chuckle, "It is adorable. They love her so much."
Maegelle blushed as she sat down, "O-Oh.....well, I consider them my own, after all." She said softly, "It is only natural...."
"My Lord." Mya said, "Maegelle has something to tell you, something she forgot to mention, considering how smitten she was with you."
I looked at her, "Hm? What is it?"
Maegelle looked at me, "I am sorry, I forgot." She said, "The reason I decided to return earlier than planned....Drakken, there is an issue in the East."
"The East?" I raised an eyebrow, "The Essosi want to start something? Let them, they know what happened last time."
"No, it is nothing like that." She said, "It is different. I...here, I have the letter I was sent...."
She pulled it out and handed it over to Daranne who took it and opened it, showing it to me.
I looked at the letter, it read:
"Inform Your False God that the Lord of Light has taken notice of his blasphemy."
I raised an eyebrow, "Lord of Light?" I said, "Who or what is that?"
"Lord of Light, I heard something like that." Saera said
I looked at her, "What? How?"
"I thought it was nothing." Saera said as she leaned her head against her arm, "Those Knights who were conspiring against you mentioned a Cult in the East, worshipping a Red God who was referred as such. They tortured a man who apparently knew something about it.....they thought it was you but influencing the East."
"No." I said, "It is not me. By the way, why did you not mention it once to me?"
She shrugged, "I was too busy trying not to lose my mind when you were fucking me." She said with a smirk, "Do you truly think I cared much about what other people say?"
"Will this be a problem, My Lord?" Daranne asked
"No." I said as I crumpled the letter, "Let them try something."
"They will learn to regret it."
