I Accidentally Became A Superstar-Chapter 221: Freedom
Individuals were ruthless when they were anonymous. As soon as Mirae Axis announced their abandonment of Continuous Dominance, the other investors of the entertainment company started backing out, too.
Naturally, the public picked up on it, and their ruthlessness shifted from Bobby to J-Slick.
- So, the case is done then?
- Dreamy is still Dreamy?
- I may not like Dreamy Entertainment, but it's so much better than Continuous Dominance.
- Dreamy Entertainment will rise, for sure! Now that it was proven that J-Slick cannot be trusted, Dreamy company would continue to flourish!
- Zeno Han feels immortal at this point. That's already two attempts to bring his career down in less than six months, but he survived both of them.
- Yeah, and he was the subject of hate for the casting of 'The Forsaken Prince.' At this point, even I'm afraid of going against him.
A police officer entered the precinct where Bobby was contained. "You're free to go."
Bobby lifted his head, in disbelief at what he had just heard.
"I'm talking to you," the police officer said with a sigh, appearing tired of his job. "Get going. Your family is waiting outside."
Bobby was still confused, unable to process everything. Was this a mistake? If it was, then he was ready to take the bait. It had been a week since he last saw his family, and he was growing very tired of the same four walls every day.
The sunlight hit his face, and he couldn't help but smile. Then, as he stepped outside, he saw Seulgi, Gaby, and even Amby waiting for him there.
Seulgi was on the verge of tears, while Gaby was full-on crying.
"Dad!" Gaby exclaimed, running to him and wrapping her arms around his thighs.
Bobby smiled genuinely for what seemed to be the first time.
Seulgi also hugged him by the shoulders. "Don't do that again. What will I ever do without you?"
"I'm sorry," Bobby muttered, burying his face in his wife's neck. "I'm sorry."
Just then, he felt a gentle hit on his shoulder. His eyebrows raised as he glanced at his oldest son.
"What are you saying sorry for?" Amby exclaimed in a fake scolding voice. "You didn't do anything wrong. You're so stupid, really."
Bobby's smile widened, his eyes crinkling. "Thank you, Amby. I know you stayed strong for your sister and mother."
Amby scratched the back of his head before turning to the side. "Of course I did."
"Now, come on. I'm hungry. You better treat us to a meal," Amby grumbled.
"Let's go," Bobby said. "Did you bring the car?"
Amby nodded and showed him the keys. "I'll drive," he muttered.
The family of four entered the car, with Amby and Bobby in the front seats. Bobby glanced out of the window, and although it had only been a week, he felt a newfound appreciation for the scenery. This was a luxury for people behind the walls of those cells.
But then, a question suddenly entered his mind. He snapped his gaze to Amby.
"But… how did this happen?" he muttered.
"What do you mean?" Amby asked.
"How is it that everything settled so quickly? Who's behind it?"
The car was silent for a moment.
"Angel?" Gaby muttered to herself.
"I don't know," Amby admitted, and Seulgi thought the same.

Meanwhile, in the new office of Dreamy Entertainment, new furniture was being brought in the moment Moby, Jace, Leni, and Sarang arrived.
"What… is happening?" Jace muttered as they entered. All of the broken glass and signs of struggle had also been cleaned up.
They entered the newly furnished office and were amazed at the scale. The television was even bigger than before, and the furniture was minimal but sophisticated.
"Are you behind all of this?" Sarang asked Moby.
Moby pursed his lips before shaking his head. He had plans in his mind, but they were impossible to execute with the resources he had.
"Is it you?" he asked Jace.
Jace raised both hands in surrender. "Of course not. How can I even buy that television?"
"How is Bobby being freed then?" Sarang asked. "Why did this turn out so smoothly?"
"Isn't it because of Mirae Axis?" Jace asked. "They found J-Slick guilty, and the case must have been retracted."
"J-Slick isn't like that," Moby muttered. "He would have continued with the case no matter what. Someone must have paid off the debt."
They were silent for a couple of moments before it finally made sense. They should have known the answer at the very beginning. In the end, there was only one person who could do all of this.
Just then, that person entered with a humble disposition. He had a roasted sweet potato in hand—one he bought from an unsuspecting old man selling on the streets.
"Oh, you're all here?" Zeno asked as he sat on the couch. "Bobby must be coming back tomorrow. I heard from Gaby that they're having lunch and dinner together."
They were all shocked by how calm he was.
"Did you… do all of this?" Moby slowly asked.
"Do all of what?" Zeno innocently asked. "I didn't do much."
They all ran toward the couch and looked at Zeno with wide, amazed eyes.
"You paid for the debt?" Sarang asked. "That's a lot of money."
Zeno continued eating as he answered. "I made a lot of money with The Forsaken Prince already. Moby would know that."
Moby gulped. "But… why would you spend it on the company?"
Zeno shrugged. "I don't have anything else to spend it on. Oh, do you like the new television, too?"
They continued looking at Zeno like he had gone crazy, and maybe he really did. Who just pays off their boss's half-billion KRW debt?
At that moment, they felt that Zeno was truly amazing. He lived in such a humble apartment and didn't even have a car, but he already did all of these.
Jace placed his hand over his chest, where his heart was. "My rival," he tearfully said.
Zeno ignored him.
"There must be a reason," Leni insisted. "Why would you do all this for Bobby?"
"Why?" Zeno muttered, crossing his arms in front of his chest before tilting his head. The others anticipated his answer.
"It's simply because I wanted to destroy an enemy," he truthfully answered.
