Chapter 1904: Chapter 1309: Infighting?

Oh no, I’ve been backstabbed!

At the instant his head was taken off, Zheng Yichen reacted, his Time Power affecting the owner of that hand.

But even as Zheng Yichen’s body continued to regenerate, that hand slowly swept across, directly shattering his newly restored form.

Zheng Yichen’s perspective shifted, and Tia gazed at him expressionlessly. The environment around her turned silently dark, with all the colors in Twilight Space seemingly merging together to form a massive ’Light Wheel’ behind her. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

However, there was a crack on this Light Wheel that reduced its overall integrity, a mark left by Zheng Yichen, belonging to him.

"Hello there—" Zheng Yichen’s mind spun wildly, pondering how to respond.

He could sense that Tia, having broken free, seemed to have violated some rules, as the Dusk nun was affected by the Time Power, and as the time flow within Twilight Space grew more chaotic, the Dusk nun’s attacks on the Time Gold Body became increasingly significant.

Yet from start to finish, the Dusk nun had never directly interfered with the power of time, still being influenced by the Time Power used by Zheng Yichen.

But Tia was not entirely affected by the Time Power and directly interfered with the Time Power that Zheng Yichen released.

Tia ignored the strict limitations on time within the Collective World.

Many villains are not afraid of victims picking up Legal Weapons, but they surely fear victims laying down the law and directly picking up Weapons. From the perspective of Dusk, Zheng Yichen counted as a ’villain’.

But before, the Dusk nun who faced him always dealt with him using ’Legal Weapons,’ while now, Tia directly took up Weapons.

Facing a Dusk nun who would actively operate contrary to the rules, Zheng Yichen felt a great deal of pressure, even though he had already defeated some Dusk nuns in this battle.

But can those Dusk nuns compare to Tia?

After using Time Power to imprison and banish Tia, the functionality of Dusk started to decline, yet with other Dusk nuns he had resolved, Dusk didn’t seem to have any issues.

"It’s time to end this."

Within Twilight Space, as Tia returned to activity, the figures of those Dusk nuns started to fade and disappear. Since Tia regained her mobility, the lost functionality of Dusk returned to normal, and the cold mode was lifted.

"What about me?" Zheng Yichen inquired, silently gathering strength, as the restored functionality of communication within Dusk no longer suffocated people.

When dealing with those Dusk nuns before, Zheng Yichen barely had a chance to catch his breath; the ability to breathe was something he had to strive for himself.

"Your consciousness will split to such an extent that you cannot maintain a complete self, and then I shall use you as material for natives of the next world epoch."

Tia announced the outcome for Zheng Yichen’s disposal.

The result was simple and direct: he would be dismembered into numerous tiny fragments, and then new natives would be created based on these fragments, each native being him, yet not him.

As long as Zheng Yichen’s consciousness dispersed to a degree unable to maintain self, he would not be considered alive, even though, from an existential perspective, he was not dead either.

But the inability of consciousness to complete reunion was essentially no different from death.

Using his fragmented consciousness as raw material for new natives, since those natives are not ’Zheng Yichen’, the natives’ own consciousness will passively combat his fragmented consciousness, forming a natural suppression...

If Zheng Yichen’s conscious state were normal, such suppression would be meaningless; however, fragmenting his consciousness to an extremely weak level, can he resist it?

Moreover, as the natives of the New World Era develop, the suppression they generate will only become stronger and stronger, giving Zheng Yichen no chance for ’resurrection’.

Unless... the new world epoch faces destruction, with the entire human race wiped out, only then could his fragmented consciousness possibly reunite and return to normal.

"I rescued you through so much effort, yet you treat me like this, even planning to use me as insurance!?"

Zheng Yichen understood the intentions of Dusk... or rather, Tia.

Instead of killing him, they retained him in this form; when the world is intact, Zheng Yichen couldn’t rise, and when the world is on the brink of collapse, Zheng Yichen could reunite and regenerate.

Then he would become a safeguard, regardless of the reasons leading to the world’s impending destruction, his appearance at the last moment equated to an extra safeguard for the world’s Strength, or to continue being material for the ’Breakworld’ of the next world epoch.

"This is the best outcome for you." Tia held Zheng Yichen’s head, gazing at the Light Wheel behind, with the crack on the Twilight Light Wheel glaringly obvious.

Zheng Yichen had rendered Dusk impure, and in the new world epoch, traces of Zheng Yichen would inevitably remain; to eliminate these traces as much as possible, Zheng Yichen needed to be completely ’eradicated.’

When Zheng Yichen no longer exists, the marks he left would also weaken; although not entirely disappearing, lacking reciprocal influence, unless utilized by someone, they can be deeply buried.

But if Zheng Yichen is retained, he could become akin to a Boundary Breaking Organization entity in the next world epoch.

Zheng Yichen usurped the ’authority’ of the next world epoch, and to Dusk, he was a despicable contaminator.

"Do I have a choice to not accept?"

"No." Tia reached out to gently touch Zheng Yichen’s cheek: "Actually... I like you a lot, without you, Dusk would have to wait for a long period, a period so lengthy I’d even be wiped out myself."
