I Am Also An Extraordinary Creature-Chapter 1941 - 1323: If They Have a Future (2)
"Stop wasting time, help me hold them off for a while," Denas said quietly, keeping a straight face.
"Is this really okay?" Klakauska noticed that his clan leader’s wings were twitching; he had never seen Denas like this before.
"Whew~ It doesn’t feel too bad." Denas’ voice, initially heavy, disclosed that this action was damaging his body, though as long as he could recover, his body would better adapt to the New World’s power post-recovery.
The premise is that this turmoil won’t leave severe hidden wounds; breaking and reestablishing is one thing, while chronic hidden wounds are another.
"Then I’ll help you fend some off."
Klakauska rejoined the battle, drawing a lot of attacks in this theater; his absence would sharply escalate casualties.
This situation is unavoidable. After all, it is one of the main battle zones where only the top-tier forces of the New World Hundred Clans appear.
If it were a remote area, Denas’ earlier strike could have completely wiped out the local fleet.
Re-entering the battle, Klakauska subtly intercepted attacks aimed at Denas. He took on the overly strong attacks directly, disregarding the ones Denas could handle easily.
His aim was to prevent exposing Denas’ weaknesses as much as possible.
"Damn it... Have the Tianhe people broken through??"
The rear of the Hundred Clans’ Fleet was filled with concern as members frowned at the latest reports from the battle zone. Denas’ attack that obliterated a quarter of the fleet left them extremely apprehensive.
They had records of Denas, who had appeared during the First Tianhe Civil War as the Dragon Tribe leader; the Hundred Clans had once tried to capture him.
After all, he was the Dragon Tribe leader—if they captured him, they could make the Tianhe Dragon Tribe obey them?
As a Dragon Tribe leader, he was only a Demigod, but looking at his performance now, compared to the Tianhe’s Dragon God, he undoubtedly has the power of a Dragon God.
Wasn’t it said that the Tianhe people are restricted by the Tianhe Shackles, unable to break through in the New World? How did it change?
"This battle must cut off the Tianhe people’s future!!" The high-ranking members of the Hundred Clans here expressed deep unease.
Some might have regretted, but most regret was for ’faltering’ at the thawing of Tianhe—they should have united then and decisively taken Tianhe.
Rather than allowing the Tianhe people so much time to develop.
Even if taking Tianhe then would leave the Hundred Clans crippled... compared to the future revenge of unleashed Tianhe people, crumbling is preferable to ’total annihilation,’ isn’t it?
Even if crippled, revival is possible; moreover, having seized everything from Tianhe, their recovery would be swift.
However, regret is just regret; who could have foreseen this development? No foreknowledge existed; indeed, even if there had been foreknowledge then, many of the Hundred Clans would not have willingly faced their own crippling or extinction.
Instead, knowing this situation, they might opt to cooperate with the Tianhe people.
Now it’s different; the Tianhe people have begun to break the Tianhe Shackles. If Tianhe’s future isn’t curbed, then the future of those fighting them in the Hundred Clans is doomed.
"This news must be kept secret!" another high-ranking member of the Hundred Clans stated decisively.
Everyone else understood the gravity of the situation; if the news spreads, those among the Hundred Clans who are undecided might change their stance, and those friendly with Tianhe might turn against them entirely.
"Deploy the annihilation weapon."
"...it’s too late." One of the Hundred Clans high ranks trembled as he reviewed his reports; besides the Dragon Tribe, there were new combatants in this battle zone.
These combatants’ exhibited power was extraordinarily abnormal.
Numbering over a thousand, while seemingly few, their pace was extraordinary; with formidable postures, they infiltrated the fleet, causing the warships they invaded to explode.
Originally maintaining formation, the fleet was scattered in disarray.
"What the hell is this??" Klakauska widened his eyes at the blood-tinged figures traversing the deep space of Tianhe, tongue-tied; what is this thing, so fierce?
"They are Slaughterers."
"Still, shouldn’t be this strong, right?" Hearing a strange voice over the comms, Klakauska paid it no mind; anyone joining the comms now is an ally.
"The cultivation of the Slaughterers used ’Chang Qing’s’ residue."
"Oh~ that’s alright then." Klakauska calmed down instantly, understanding that transformation to become stronger is a Tianhe method to enhance strength, or a manner of compromise.
Using the ’genes’ or strength seeds of Tianhe’s strong from the Old Era to surpass the current limit—the enhancement resembles Light Divine type’s God’s Core fusion.
Some True Gods can segment part of their Godhead, create a God’s Core, and have some of the new-generation Tianhe people use it to surpass limitations—the downside is limited future growth.
Similarly, genetic modification technologies work this way—without stronger genes or power factors, future strength enhancement is impossible.
The Tianhe Shackles and post-modification power lock both prevent any further strength increase, however, these can’t be treated equivalently.
Completing power transformation can allow enhancement beyond the Tianhe Shackles; the latter remains potential locked even after transformation.
Besides influencing descendants, it’s akin to drinking poison to quench thirst—not used unless absolutely necessary, typically applied to wartime cannon fodder.
