I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 507 Parents meeting (1)
She looked at him, caught off guard.
"They hold a lot of power," he went on, his voice steady, matter of fact. "Political power. Clan power. Ancient influence. If they were truly dissatisfied with you... you wouldn’t be here, teaching their children."
The words weren’t harsh. They weren’t meant to scare her. They were just simple truth.
"They would have removed you quietly," he added. "Long ago."
Alina blinked slowly.
He gave a small shrug. "But they didn’t." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Silence settled between them.
"Instead," he said, softer now, "they kept sending their children back to your class. Every day. Every term."
Her throat tightened slightly.
"They trust this place," he said. "And they trust the person standing in front of their children every morning."
Alina looked down at the attendance sheet again, but this time her eyes were clearer.
"...I didn’t think about it like that," she admitted quietly.
Gabriel smiled faintly. "Most people don’t. Fear is loud. Logic is quiet."
She let out a small breath, almost a laugh, almost relief.
"...Thank you," she said, her voice softer.
He waved it off lightly. "Don’t thank me. Just go scare some powerful parents by being a very good teacher."
She laughed properly this time, the tight knot in her chest loosening just enough for her shoulders to relax.
"I should go. Parents will be coming any moment," Alina said, her voice carrying that mix of excitement and nerves she could not fully hide.
Gabriel simply nodded, watching as she gathered her files, tablet, and attendance folder carefully. He didn’t say anything else, only gave her a quiet, reassuring look as she walked out.
On the way, she crossed paths with Miss Kelly, who squeezed her arm gently and whispered, "Best of luck."
Alina smiled, thanked her softly, and continued walking.
By the time she reached the training room, the space still felt too big and too quiet, even with all the tables and chairs arranged neatly in a wide circle. She walked to the center, placed her files down, adjusted a chair slightly even though it was already straight, then clasped her hands together to stop herself from fidgeting.
Outside, staff members were waiting at the main entrance to guide parents when they arrived.
Ten minutes later, she heard footsteps approaching.
Her stomach tightened instantly, but her spine straightened on instinct, and her professional smile settled perfectly onto her face like it belonged there.
Then she saw them, and her heart melted.
Luna walked in first, holding both her parents’ hands, looking like a tiny royal storm cloud.
She was wearing a puffy red skirt with a crisp white collar blouse, tiny white shoes, and a small, cute purse hanging from her shoulder. Her silver gray hair was open, soft waves framing her face, and her little mouth was set in the most dramatic pout as she glared at her mother with deep betrayal.
Clearly, she had been forced into this outfit.
"Luna," Alina said warmly, walking toward them, her smile widening naturally now.
"Teacher, I brought my mummy and daddy," Luna announced proudly, immediately letting go of her parents and stepping closer to Alina like she was presenting them for inspection.
Alina dipped her head politely. "Alpha Ryker. Queen Serafina. Welcome."
Alpha Ryker gave a single, strong nod, his tall frame radiating quiet authority, while Queen Serafina smiled gracefully, her sharp eyes softening slightly when they landed on Alina.
"Thank you for teaching our daughter," Queen Serafina said smoothly.
Before Alina could reply, Luna tugged her skirt and whispered loudly, "Teacher, they made me wear this."
Queen Serafina sighed softly. "It is a cute outfit."
"It is fluffy and slow," Luna muttered with deep offense.
Alpha Ryker cleared his throat, clearly hiding amusement.
Alina crouched slightly to Luna’s level. "You still look very strong," she said gently. "Just strong in a red skirt today."
Luna considered that.
"...Okay," Luna decided finally, sounding satisfied with Alina’s answer.
Alina smiled softly and straightened, smoothing her dress lightly before gesturing toward the arranged tables.
"Please take a seat. We will start once the other parents arrive," she said politely.
Alpha Ryker gave a short nod. He bent down, lifted Luna effortlessly, and placed her carefully on her chair like she was something precious and unbreakable. Then, with the same quiet care, he pulled the chair back for Queen Serafina before she sat down.
Alina felt something warm settle in her chest watching them. The simple, quiet coordination. The silent understanding between them. The way Luna already looked relaxed sitting between them.
Happy family, she thought quietly, and it made her smile without realizing.
Then—
"TEACHER!!! TEACHERRRR!!! I BROUGHT MY MOM AND DAD!!!!!!"
The loud, excited shout burst through the room from the doorway.
Alina chuckled instantly. She didn’t even need to look to know who it was.
"Drake," she said warmly, turning.
Sure enough, the little dragon baby was half dragging his father inside by the hand.
Blaze looked like a man who had fought ten wars and lost all of them to his own child. His usually intimidating, powerful presence was completely defeated by Drake’s enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Pyrra followed behind them, holding Drake’s tiny school bag, her expression soft, amused, and slightly helpless, like she had already accepted this was her life now.
"Teacher!!!!" Drake announced loudly, puffing his chest. "She is my mom! She calls me Little Spark, and I love that nickname!"
Pyrra covered her mouth, embarrassed but smiling.
"Though," Drake added proudly, lowering his voice like he was sharing a great secret, "she looks innocent... but she spanks me when I don’t bathe."
The room went silent for exactly two seconds.
Blaze closed his eyes slowly.
Pyrra turned bright red. "DRAKE."
Alina bit her lip so hard to stop laughing that her eyes watered.
Drake looked confused. "What? That is parenting information."
Blaze finally spoke, his voice low and tired. "We discussed not announcing house discipline to strangers."
"They are not strangers," Drake corrected seriously. "They are Teacher."
Pyrra sighed and stepped forward, bowing her head slightly to Alina. "I apologize. He shares everything."
"It’s okay," Alina said gently, still smiling. "I am glad he feels comfortable."
Drake beamed like he had just received the highest honor.
Then he suddenly gasped.
"Oh! Teacher! Dad also calls Mom Little Flame sometimes when he thinks I am sleeping."
Blaze looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him.
Pyrra made a strangled sound. "Drake."
Alina cleared her throat quickly. "Please take a seat."
Blaze practically teleported to the table to end the conversation.
Drake happily climbed into his chair, swinging his legs, completely unaware he had just emotionally damaged both parents in under thirty seconds.
As Pyrra sat beside him, she gave Alina a helpless smile.
And Alina just smiled back, warmth filling her chest again.
