I Became a Scoundrel of a Chaebol Family-Chapter 249: 18+
"Should I test it?"
Determining the extent of this trait’s power wouldn't be difficult. I could simply bring in some of the women I've been with before and see how their reactions differ from the past. That would give me an idea of the trait’s intensity.
And the part about gradually influencing them? Of course, that could be tested too. It would just take time.
However, I soon shook my head. I would naturally find out in due course, so there was no need to spend time on it now.
There’s work to be done today.
And that wasn’t the end of the messages I had pending.
[Conditions met: New title acquired.] [You have obtained the title "Who's the Protagonist Now?"] [Acquisition condition: Defeat and subjugate all protagonists.]
I'd earned another title. It seems I achieved this while completely making Seo Aram my secretary, but then shouldn't this have been achieved when I obtained her absolute loyalty, not when I deflowered her?
“Is a woman defined by her hymen?”
Considering this bizarre world where most beauties are virgins, it oddly makes sense. It seems to be based on loyalty + sexual favors, whether they’ve committed everything to me.
“Well, ‘defeat or subjugate’—if the condition is something comparable to life, then this level makes sense.”
[Who's the Protagonist Now? (Title)] Gives an extraordinary impression to those who see you. You become the center of all narratives. Your luck significantly increases.
"...Is that it?"
I had expected something grand given the title's impressive name, but there's not much to it. It’s not like the 'Virgin Collector' which could be upgraded...
So, it gives an extraordinary impression? Being the grandson of the Koryo Group head already does that. Center of all narratives? I'm already there.
At least the boost in luck is something good.
"What the..."
I felt a huge disappointment, but I soon composed myself. After all, this is all happening because of my status. Imagine if I weren’t the Koryo Group's grandson.
“‘Gives an extraordinary # Nоvеlight # impression.’” Many successful people trust their gut instincts. Just giving off the right vibe could open up many paths in life.
“‘You become the center of all narratives.’” This directly means I could be on a path to success. Or at least at the center of significant events gaining fame.
Anyway, it means I won't just be some criminal.
“‘Your luck significantly increases.’” Winning the lottery alone could make life 90% more comfortable.
Essentially, this title allows me to live a life akin to that of a real protagonist.
But all these effects become ordinary the moment they apply to me. My passive status as 'Koryo Group’s Grandson' is too overpowering.
I’ve just resolved to quit taking drugs and live properly, and for that, I received a state-powered weapon as a personal knight from my aunt, along with an armed force worth several billion and a personal aircraft. I even got almost a third of Songdo.
All these were just gifts.
So, while the title’s effects might feel underwhelming due to my position, they’re not bad in themselves.
“Yeah. It's my fault for being imbued with such an overpowered identity. Who can I blame?”
It’s like having a trillion won and finding a million won on the street. A somewhat ridiculous conclusion, but still, not a bad feeling.
It’s not a bad trait, nor is it a result of some immense effort on my part turning out poorly. It’s just that I happened to acquire it while doing what I do, and I was just a bit disappointed because the performance wasn’t as impactful as expected. That’s not really a bad thing.
It even makes me realize my position more, which in a way makes me feel good.
Protagonist or not, in this universe, the only humans who might pose a threat are another Koryo family member or perhaps an executive from a mega-corporation abroad. But given how things are, it's highly unlikely that my family would harm me, and it's almost zero chance that a mega-corporation would bother going against the Koryo Group to mess with me.
In practical terms, I’m invincible.
The only ones to worry about are some crazy people who would risk their lives on a charge or monsters that I don’t understand fully.
“But then again, aren’t those monsters either created or controlled by our Koryo Group?”
Levi is a typical example. A minion, Levi, subordinate to the distant relative Min Ji-ah.
Thinking about Levi, at the very least our group knows a lot about monsters and minions, and even how to control them, even at the collateral level.
“Kind of scary. Our group... could be the final boss of this universe.”
It’s no wonder we're officially treated as the source of evil.
"Uh..."
As I finished my thoughts, I glanced sideways to find Seo Aram deeply asleep, completely disheveled. She doesn’t wake up even when I poke her; she must be sleeping very deeply.
Swoosh.
"Uh...hmm..."
I lightly spanked her buttocks, but she still didn’t wake up. I squeezed the flesh in my palm and rubbed it.
She probably didn't sleep well at Prestige either. She must have been busy.
“Yeah. Sleep some more.”
Feeling no need to wake her, I went alone to the bathroom to wash up briefly. Then, as I returned to my room and was changing clothes, around 7 AM, Soo-ah cautiously opened the door and was shocked by the scene.
"Gasp! Master, I...”
She hurried over to assist me. Then, she glanced sideways at Aram, sprawled on the bed, looking like she might just wake her up with a loud clatter.
It wouldn't necessarily be bad, but it felt somewhat irksome.
Squeeze.
"Uh?!"
I grabbed Soo-ah’s plump buttocks as if spanking her.
"You've done this often enough yourself, you wench." "Yipe! When have I ever..." "Oh? Going to lie?" "Sniff. Sorry."
When she was the one being ravished by me, she often woke up late, yet she tells her subordinates not to do that. People should be fair in everything.
"Let her sleep until 8 AM. It's her first day." "Uh... Yes."
+++
Seo Aram sent me a text apologizing as soon as she woke up. I called her to the dressing room where I was alone with Soo-ah. Since it was inside my bedroom, she hurried right in.
I was in front of the full-body mirror, choosing a watch for my final check, so I could see her without even turning around, and she looked a mess.
"I’m so sorry...!!!"
Seo Aram was pale and kept bowing deeply to me. I switched my watch a couple of times and then pinched her cheek.
"Eek." "I'll let it slide since it's your first day. Don’t do it again." "Yes, yes... Jae-sung..." "Go get ready." "Huh,"
She grabbed her cheeks and hurried off to prepare.
"This really should be properly scolded, especially on the first day." "It’s her first day."
Soo-ah seemed not to like it, but if she's jealous, she should become the master.
"Keep her dignity intact since she’s a team leader. Rumors of this sort won't do any good." "Yes, I understand."
After getting ready, we went outside, and Seo Aram was already tidied up. She’s fast with this sort of thing.
"I'm sorry, Master. I'll make sure I’m not late next time."
She answered calmly, her cleaned-up appearance as impeccable as her voice. Anyone would think she was a completely different person.
"That’s good enough. I’ll be touring some business sites today, so keep an eye out." "Yes, Master."
We left the mansion. Many people were waiting in front of the Autonomous Vehicles (AV).
What’s changed from before is that instead of one AV, there are several. The AV management firm has been set up, and orders and acquisitions have been completed, allowing us to move with a larger group.
The arrangement includes people who always ride the same AV as me: the Chief of Staff (Soo-ah), the representative of PMC White Snow (Baek Seol), various department heads (Kwon Dam-bi, Ra Seung-hee, Jin Ji-hye, Seo Aram), deputy team leaders, executive secretaries, and the Pacific Knight squad leader Dorothy—about 20 people in total. Additionally, some secretaries from each team and three knights (one per AV) accompanying for security purposes, along with some forces from White Snow, are present.
In total, around 50-70 people move together at once.
"It looks like a lot when you see it like this."
And this is just the group moving with me. The owner’s secretarial office usually goes to the locations in my itinerary beforehand to prepare.
What I mean is, they completely clean up the surroundings before I arrive. Anything odd or any odd person can’t be around.
Then, after I pass, a subsequent team comes to erase unnecessary traces and do the cleanup.
All in all, when I go somewhere, you can assume about 200-300 people are mobilized.
"Anyone would say I’m the protagonist. I don’t need a title for that."
From the moment I became Go Muyeol, I am the protagonist of this world.
