I Became the Eye Candy: Four Bigshots Claimed to be My Dad?-Chapter 132: Scram, Not a Single One Is Normal
"What did you say?" Sang Zhi’s face lit up.
"Water..."
Sang Zhi leaned in, straining to listen. Only then did he make out that she wanted water. He stood up, went to the table to pour a cup, and carefully brought it to her lips.
He had filled the cup to the brim and had no experience serving anyone. The cup tilted, and not only did half the water spill, but it all splashed right onto Ye Qianning’s face...
"..."
Ye Qianning was speechless. ’Is this little stiff trying to murder me?!’
He’d splashed her face, and water shot up her nose. The feeling of suffocation was immediate. She let out a few sneezes and could feel thick snot spraying out with them.
’With a child’s body, I really have no control over this.’
Sang Zhi panicked at the sight. A little startled, he lifted his sleeve and began wiping at Ye Qianning’s face.
"Gag..."
Ye Qianning had just sneezed out a glob of snot, and his clumsy wiping smeared it right into her mouth. She couldn’t help but retch.
’I was trying to mess with the little stiff, but I ended up messing with myself. I really brought this on myself!’ 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Are you okay... little fatty...?" Sang Zhi was scared out of his wits and rushed to check on her.
’Okay?’
’I was nearly disgusted to death, you know...’
Ye Qianning struggled to open her eyes. After two days of fever, her cheeks were flushed red, and the whites of her eyes were bloodshot.
"She’s awake, she’s awake!" Sang Zhi was overjoyed to see her open her eyes, but when he saw her blank expression, his happy look froze on his face.
’Could she really have been burned into an idiot, just like Old Master Zhan said?’
Ye Qianning saw the delight in Sang Zhi’s eyes. ’Looks like the little stiff is quite fond of me after all.’ However, she didn’t think that for long.
Sang Zhi held up two fingers in front of her face. "How many is this?"
Ye Qianning: "..."
"How could I forget? You haven’t started school yet, so you can’t recognize numbers," Sang Zhi said, annoyed with himself. He then leaned his head closer and pointed to himself. "Do you still recognize who I am?"
Feeling utterly looked down upon, Ye Qianning closed her eyes and slowly spat out a single word: "Dimwit!"
Sang Zhi paused. A look of panic crossed his face, and he scrambled out the door. "Someone, come quick! It’s bad! The little fatty has gone silly!"
Outside, Old Master Zhan and Zhan Chi were still discussing how to get the child back to the Zhan family when they heard the shout. Both men froze for a second before rushing into the room at top speed.
"Little fatty?"
"Granddaughter?"
Old Master Zhan and Zhan Chi leaned over the bed, calling out in unison.
Ye Qianning kept her eyes closed, not wanting to speak. Old Master Zhan’s cry of "Granddaughter" made her frown slightly. Although she wasn’t sure herself, she didn’t want anything to do with the Zhan family.
It was probably because of the killing intent she’d sensed from Zhan Chi when they first met. People like her were extremely sensitive to such things.
If someone showed her killing intent, even if they didn’t act on it, she would instinctively feel a strong aversion to them.
"Little fatty?" Zhan Chi called out softly again when there was no response.
Old Master Zhan turned his head in confusion. "Eighth Prince, why are you cursing my granddaughter?"
"She just woke up, and she even got my name wrong," Sang Zhi said with a serious face.
"What did she call you?"
"’Ink it.’"
"..."
’My brain hurts,’ Ye Qianning thought. ’This little stiff really has a screw loose.’
’What "ink it"? Ink it on Xuan paper?’
Old Master Zhan and Zhan Chi instinctively turned to look at the bookshelf. On Xuan paper? Could it be...
"To be so sick and still thinking about your studies... My dear granddaughter, don’t you worry. As long as you get better, Grandpa will teach you himself," Old Master Zhan cooed, his heart aching for her.
Sang Zhi was also baffled. ’Wasn’t the little fatty trying to say my name just now? She wanted to study instead?’
"..."
Ye Qianning was at a complete loss for words.
’Get lost!’
’Not a single one of them is normal!’
